05/01…...204.6…..(Trend Weight 202.5)….. April was not good to me. Or maybe, I was not good to April. Yeah, I think that’s it.
05/02.…..204.6…..(Trend Weight 202.7)….. I had my weight too low yesterday. Typo now fixed. I should have done better but I couldn’t get satiated yesterday. I think my bigger body is fighting for more food so I am going to have to plan more volume with less calories and carbs to get through this. According to Fitbit, I’ve had more sleep last night but I feel hungover. Is there such a thing as a food hangover?
05/03.…..203.8…..(Trend Weight 202.8}….. I’m grateful for any progress but I know I can do better. I am not doing Keto at this time but I definitely should be watching the carbs a bit more. I need to better keep them in mind when making my choices. That would make a huge difference for my weight and my glucose levels. Now just doing it…….
05/04.…..203.8…..(Trend Weight 202.9)….. I had a good day of eating yesterday so I expected a drop. I checked my fitbit stats this morning and boy, oh, boy! Was my movement level ever low! Barely over 3000 steps for the day due to lots on online bill paying and many phone calls. That explains it! Out of town tomorrow, a bit of a trip again for my friend's brain scan to determine possible parkinsons. Lots more sitting and meals out. Never good when it's out of town.

5/2/22: 185.0 lbs. / Yesterday, I exceeded my calorie goal (<100 cals) and exercised full body cardio.
5/3/22: 186.0 lbs. / Yesterday, I met my calorie goal and exercised glutes with cardio.
5/4/22: 186.6 lbs. / Yesterday, I met my calorie goal and exercised shoulders and triceps. Not surprised with the uptick - I've been working out hard.

05/05 - 135.0 (136.3 trend) palate apparatus is wreaking havoc. I have a nice sore on my tongue that won't go away so it is slowing my eating down a bit. Hoping it heals soon. A little upset at the orthodontist office for not being completely truthful. They claimed this would just be "uncomfortable" until I became accustomed to it in a few days. Nothing about sores and pain. Oh well, this too shall pass

My youngest son had the same type of apparatus and he had a lot of sores and pain in the beginning, despite the orthodontist telling us it wouldn't cause issues. I think it depends on the individual and eventually callous develop. There is a degree of pain in every orthodontic procedure though - I used to dream that my teeth were falling out because of the pain. Use the mouth rinses, use the wax to coat the areas where the sores touch. I'm sorry you're going through this.2 -

5/1 - 197.8 setting a rather ambitious goal for this month as I haven't managed an actual loss in many months. But weather is improving so I'll be outside and moving more, and I typically do lose well during the summer.
5/2 - 197.6 not a great weekend as far as food choices, but just a slight uptick from the end of April so I'm ok with it. Resuming my walk/run with my son this evening; fingers crossed my shin splints have healed!
5/3 - 197.6 exact same as yesterday but I really thought I'd be down this morning. At least it's not +! Didn't run yesterday but I did take the dogs on a 2-mile walk, was going to run today but it's been pouring all morning so may not make it outside. If no run, then I'll be on the treadmill. I did have a massage this morning and she worked on my lower legs and I had no pain, so I'm hopeful I'm healed up.
5/4 - 196.6 had a good walk/run with my son last night. Legs were tight but no pain, actually loosened up while we were out, then I soaked in the tub to relax the muscles. Off to pre-log my food choices for today, feel free to check up on me!
5/5 - 197.0 not sure why + this morning but I didn't walk or anything yesterday. Planning to run/walk again today. Need to figure out dinner as leftovers are scarce now.

Thank you. Wax has become my friend as well as a tongue guard I found online that forms to the roof of my mouth and covers the expander. It has helped immensely. I use warm salt water to rinse. If anyone knows of something better, please let me know! I now have a new found respect for all three of my kids that wore braces and headgear. I know in the end it will all be worth it.3 -

May 02 - 184.0 Easy day yesterday, did some house organizing, menu planning, & grocery shopping and got a nice run in as well. Starting a new WOE today by giving up intermittent fasting (I normally eat between 11 am -7 pm only) for the month and instead eating 6 smaller meals/snacks spread all through the day.
May 03 - 184.0 No change from yesterday, so hoping for a big drop tomorrow. Today is a running day and the weather looks great for it!
May 04 - 184.0 The scale will eventually catch up to and reflect what I'm doing. Calories, Exercise, Sleep, Water, all where they need to be to post a loss. I will be patient
May 05 - 184.0 Nice HIIT workout yesterday + got in a short walk, calories within range, good sleep & water intake

May 01 - Going with my April end weight as I did for the last month. 135.0
Monday May 02 - 136.8 - Ouch. Feeling leaner than that. Back to jumping around all over the place. My WW scale gave up the ghost months ago, and this new one...not sure if it really works. Very active days off, time for healthy food prep and eating. I truly expected a loss.
May 03 - 135.6 - That is better.
May 04 - 135.8 - Busy week, trying to have food prep ready for each dinner.
May 05 - 137.0 - No reason for this at all. I burned more calories than I ate actually (due to long hours digging in the garden after work knowing that there would be rain to set the seeds today). I did drink more water yesterday, otherwise ate very well, worked out etc. I hate these jump ups.

05/06 - 135.8 (136.2 trend) Pizza last night. I always gain a bit after pizza and it just doesn't seem fair this time. I could not eat the crust, so all I had was the toppings off two pieces. Really thought it would make a difference. I was wrong. Lesson learned. Of course the free biscuits and gravy at work for breakfast probably played into that gain as well Couldn't pass up soft food that was free!

Barely over 3000 steps for the day due to lots on online bill paying and many phone calls. That explains it! Out of town tomorrow, a bit of a trip again for my friend's brain scan to determine possible parkinsons. Lots more sitting and meals out. Never good when it's out of town.
05/05.…..203.8…..(Trend Weight 203.0)….. Weigh in was about 5 hours early as I prepare for travel this morning. 3 days in a row with the same weight. Hmmm. Too bad my trend weight wouldn’t stay the same. It just keeps going up, up, up.
05/06.…..203.4…..(Trend Weight 203.0)….. A shocking drop today when I thought it would be way up. I ate at a Golden Corral yesterday during the long travel which means a lot of food for me due to variety. The medical test took 7 hours so lots of sitting in the hospital waiting for friend. The drive was several hours each way. Needless to say, all sitting and little activity. But I was so exhausted last night that I actually slept about 7 hours (instead of my usual 4). And then this weight drop. It HAS to be related. Everything else lent itself to a gain. Wow! I wish I required more sleep EVERY day! Another observation: this drop came after 3 days of staying exactly the same, which, in itself is unusual. Paying attention here!
