I seem to be more consistent on the scale instead of the wild swings ... probably due to me questioning what I'm eating and journaling everything. Now to see if I can get the scale to go down ... but I'm now facing a long weekend out of town. We'll see when I return.7 -

05/08.…..201.0…..(Trend Weight 202.7)….. Happy Mother’s Day everyone! Weight stayed the same which is okay after a big drop yesterday. Trend weight still trending down so I’m very happy. It gives me hope. I hope you all will enjoy a beautiful day. I will be taken out for dinner but will try to choose wisely. Ah, so many flowers delivered to me by our new florist in the next town. What thoughtful kids I have!
05/09.…..200.8…..(Trend Weight 202.5)….. I just couldn’t get full last night! Luckily I had a good day full of mindful choices which ended up offsetting it. Down 0.2 is better than the gain I expected. I’ll be watching the scale, sometimes it creeps up later!
05/10.…..203.2…..(Trend Weight 202.5)….. My 62nd Birthday! Not a very nice present on the scale this morning. Pretty good dietary choices yesterday which kept it under 1600 (my normal is under 1400). Moderate exercise. I had a big bump down, now a big jump right back up. I don’t always understand how this works for me but I do know that TMI is likely part of this equation today. Dinner out tonight with a friend and at a later time with my oldest daughter (maybe next week?)
05/11.…..204.0…..(Trend Weight 202.7)….. I thought my dinner out yesterday was very reasonable. Very light breakfast and applesauce for snack. Hmph! Maybe birthday and mother’s day all coming at me at once on the scale. Tonight, another dinner for birthday. Home cooked meal with steak, potato etc. at one of my children’s houses. I’ll keep my day light again. Maybe get out more and MOVE in the yard.
05/12.…..204.6…..(Trend Weight 202.9)….. Birthday dinner yesterday was delicious and healthy. Long travel today so leaving early. No TMI x2.

MFP starting weight: 149.2 (3/30/21)
April results: -0.6
April end weight: 136.0
UGW: 130
05/01 - DNW - out of town, no scale. Tomorrow will be my start weight for May.
05/02 - 135.6 (136.9 trend) first weekend in a long time that I did not gain weight!
05/03 - DNW - day off from work and woke up late. Like to weigh at same time every day.
05/04 - 135.2 (136.5 trend)
05/05 - 135.0 (136.3 trend) palate apparatus is wreaking havoc. I have a nice sore on my tongue that won't go away so it is slowing my eating down a bit. Hoping it heals soon. A little upset at the orthodontist office for not being completely truthful. They claimed this would just be "uncomfortable" until I became accustomed to it in a few days. Nothing about sores and pain. Oh well, this too shall pass
05/06 - 135.8 (136.2 trend) Pizza last night. I always gain a bit after pizza and it just doesn't seem fair this time. I could not eat the crust, so all I had was the toppings off two pieces. Really thought it would make a difference. I was wrong. Lesson learned. Of course the free biscuits and gravy at work for breakfast probably played into that gain as well Couldn't pass up soft food that was free!
05/07 - DNW
05/08 - DNW - Hope all you Mother's had a wonderful day.
05/09 - 137.0 (136.5 trend) Unfortunately found a lot of food I could comfortably eat. Need to start being mindful again and should really start logging my food. Surgery will probably slow me down again, but I have a few weeks till that occurs.
05/10 - 136.2 (136.4 trend)
05/11 - 135.4 (136.3 trend) YAY! Back to a loss for the month. Hoping to keep this up and reach my goal
05/12 - 135.0 (136.1 trend) starting to log again today

Height: 5'6" Age: 52
May goal: 192
UGW: 145
5/1 - 197.8 setting a rather ambitious goal for this month as I haven't managed an actual loss in many months. But weather is improving so I'll be outside and moving more, and I typically do lose well during the summer.
5/2 - 197.6 not a great weekend as far as food choices, but just a slight uptick from the end of April so I'm ok with it. Resuming my walk/run with my son this evening; fingers crossed my shin splints have healed!
5/3 - 197.6 exact same as yesterday but I really thought I'd be down this morning. At least it's not +! Didn't run yesterday but I did take the dogs on a 2-mile walk, was going to run today but it's been pouring all morning so may not make it outside. If no run, then I'll be on the treadmill. I did have a massage this morning and she worked on my lower legs and I had no pain, so I'm hopeful I'm healed up.
5/4 - 196.6 had a good walk/run with my son last night. Legs were tight but no pain, actually loosened up while we were out, then I soaked in the tub to relax the muscles. Off to pre-log my food choices for today, feel free to check up on me!
5/5 - 197.0 not sure why + this morning but I didn't walk or anything yesterday. Planning to run/walk again today. Need to figure out dinner as leftovers are scarce now.
5/6 - 197.6 I think I've had too much rice this week but I also haven't walked the last couple days (rain and workload).
5/7 - 195.6 what? I'll take it but it'll probably be + tomorrow. But I'll be happy today for sure! Must get in a workout today, it's been too many days.
5/8 - 195.2 good run/walk yesterday, plus a 2mile walk with the dogs.
5/9 - 196.4 not enough water yesterday. didn't make it to the grocery so meals this week will be rather boring - hunk o'meat + veg...we'll survive. Planning a run/walk today and get the dogs out too.
5/10 - 194.8 so glad I have my head on straight and am focused on food choices and exercise. Run/walk went well and the dogs definitely enjoyed their outing. Calfs are tight this morning but will focus on stretching today and will still get the dogs out. Supposed to hit 80 today in northern Indiana and I'm rather excited about it!
5/11 - 195.6 3 miles with the dogs, up and down hills, but it was HOT 86. Jumping up 20-30 degrees overnight is rough. Ended up with a blister after getting dogs out of a mud bath so not planning to run today but will walk with them again.
5/12 - 197.0 ?????? here I was thinking that perhaps the craziness of the scale had settled, but no, definitely not. Will run/walk again today because blister is much better, calfs still tight though so will keep stretching. Dinner is a beef roast and cauliflower.

I love the accountability of this forum : - )
Tracking every bite is the key to success.
May 01 - Going with my April end weight as I did for the last month. 135.0
Monday May 02 - 136.8 - Ouch. Feeling leaner than that. Back to jumping around all over the place. My WW scale gave up the ghost months ago, and this new one...not sure if it really works. Very active days off, time for healthy food prep and eating. I truly expected a loss.
May 03 - 135.6 - That is better.
May 04 - 135.8 - Busy week, trying to have food prep ready for each dinner.
May 05 - 137.0 - No reason for this at all. I burned more calories than I ate actually (due to long hours digging in the garden after work knowing that there would be rain to set the seeds today). I did drink more water yesterday, otherwise ate very well, worked out etc. I hate these jump ups.
May 06 - 136.4 - I have had maybe too active of a week? Perhaps my body thinks that it must hold on to fat to save me lol. We got lovely rain yesterday to set my seeds into my garden : - )
May 07 - 135.4 - All of that digging finally catching up on the scale? I'll take it.
May 08 - 136.2 - Working late tonight, so it will be a late dinner.
May 09 - 136.6 - I worked much later than even expected last night, so ate very late and was up too early. Not surprised that my weight is up today, and it might take a few days to level myself back out and settle into a rare 6 day work week.
May 10 - 136.0
May 11 - 135.2 - That is better, getting closer to my start weight. I was feeling lean yesterday, glad that the scale agrees.
May 12 - 137.2 - Dang!!! 2 pounds in one day? argh

May Start Weight: 184.1 lbs.
May Goals: Running 3 x per week, Work on core/hip strength, Mindful Way of Eating, Daily Accountability
May 01 - 184.1
May 02 - 184.0 Easy day yesterday, did some house organizing, menu planning, & grocery shopping and got a nice run in as well. Starting a new WOE today by giving up intermittent fasting (I normally eat between 11 am -7 pm only) for the month and instead eating 6 smaller meals/snacks spread all through the day.
May 03 - 184.0 No change from yesterday, so hoping for a big drop tomorrow. Today is a running day and the weather looks great for it!
May 04 - 184.0 The scale will eventually catch up to and reflect what I'm doing. Calories, Exercise, Sleep, Water, all where they need to be to post a loss. I will be patient
May 05 - 184.0 Nice HIIT workout yesterday + got in a short walk, calories within range, good sleep & water intake
May 06 - 183.7 Yesterday was a running day + got in a full body strength workout. On target with calories, water, & sleep goals.
May 07 - DNW (slept in past normal weigh-in time) Yesterday was a full rest day + going to start having Friday night dinner be a "hall pass', had a few more calories & enjoyed some pizza
May 08 - DNW (slept in past normal weigh-in time) Yesterday was a super active day, went for a run, + barre booty workout + couple hours spent on cleaning & organizing. On track with calories, water, & sleep goals.
May 09 - 183.6 The scale is soooo slow, BUT the mirror is showing a noticeably positive change! Yesterday was an active recovery day, went on a walk + yoga. Calories, water, & sleep goals met. Busy, busy week ahead, something every day but will make sure my workouts remain a priority.
May 10 - 183.2 Yesterday was a running day + HIIT upper body workout, Errands went late, so hit up the Chick Fil A drive through and was able to stay on track with my calories with nuggets and a side kale salad. It's been a while since I had the kale salad and they've changed the salad, definitely not as good, now it is a salad with a few pieces of kale instead of a salad of kale. Hopefully it's just a supply chain issue and it will go back to the original one.
May 11 - 183.0 Yesterday ended up being an exercise Rest Day + another day grabbing dinner on the go, but made good choices and still got a loss on the scale today Looking forward to getting a run in today!
May 12 - 182.7 Yesterday was a full body Tabata workout but no running - whacked my right knee on my bed's footboard, and it was just a couple weeks ago it was my left knee that got whacked on the footboard. I'll give it a few days for the goose egg to go down before resuming running. Annoying but it's fine.

No TMI x2.
05/13.…..202.6…..(Trend Weight 202.8)….. 2 pounds down overnight after an extremely long travel, restricted movement, low steps and two meals in restaurants. I’m surprised, but not completely. Finally TMI this morning and over 7 hours of sleep last night! Amazing what those things can do to make a difference!

2 pounds in one day? argh
May 13 - 137.2 - Struggling with my motivation today because of this number. I will have to give myself a good talking to.

Ouch! I think it's time for that mean bed to vacate the premises! Hope you heal quickly.

Height 5'4" Age:52
Ultimate Goal Weight 127-134 lbs.
April Start Weight: 189.4 lbs.
May 13 - DNW (likely won't weigh again until Monday due to not being able to at my usual time) Yesterday was a full body strength workout with weights and went a little over with calories at dinner. It will all even out to a deficit as my calories have been on the lower end of my allotted range all week.

Thank you so much. I'm glad you spoke up. That helps me feel encouraged as well. I am pleased with the loss, but I fear that when this is all over and I can go back to "normal" foods, I may struggle. It helps greatly that eating is just tiring right now and probably will be for the next year and half.
You can get those last few pounds. It's tough because it seems so slow and at times discouraging, but you can do it! I have to go back frequently and look at where I started and that helps me get going when I get in a slump. Just know myself and many others are cheering you on!
Thanks again!4 -
