My medium sized shirt from the last official 10k I ran. I was 22. 29 years back. It just so happens they will be holding this one for real not a virtual one on 4/10. 🤔 may decide to enter…

Made it happen… Finished the Austin Capital 10k in 56:40. Not to bad. Overall my rankings were fairly decent.
In overall crowd of 21726 I was in the 11% of finishers
In both overall male and my age of 50-54 bracket I was just above 14% of finishers.
Maybe 🤔 next year I’ll shoot to be in the top 10% across the board. Got a year to improve.

Please excuse the squished up face I am pulling to see the angle. I am not there yet, but I have lost 17.9kg and am almost 2 thirds of the way to my goal weight!

I'm still 10 KG away from my inital goal (I think I want to loose more after reaching my goal but let's not be hasty) and I barely have any pictures at my heaviest so sorry for the dress up haha. But I thought it was worth celebrating -20KG by posting here.
Numbers are in KG. I was 210 LBS in the first picture and am 167 LBS now.

I have to share the trouble your picture got me in to @Thewonderofitall
I volunteer at the front desk of an art museum.
I’m killing time and had just posted that Jack LaLanne comment praising your excellent loss.
Lady comes in, sees my badge, and decides I run the museum. She wants to exhibit her art. I’m trying to explain I have nothing to do with choosing the art, that we plan exhibitions a couple of years in advance. She’s having none of it and insists I look at her website, which is something something fine arts dot com.
I try pulling it up, and get a warning that it’s a porn site and do I want to continue.
“I can’t look at your site because it’s porn.”
She gets really mad, snatches my phone away, and sees your flexing picture.
“I don’t know what kind of pictures YOU look at lady”, she storms, “ but my site not porn”.
Come to find out, she didn’t even know her own URL, and she coincidentally has the same or similar name as a South Korean porn actress who posts her photos as “fine art”.
So @Thewonderofitall, I’m going to close this by saying she must’ve thought your lovely, tasteful photo was fine art and/or porn.
I think that’s a fabulous NSV and photo success story right there, buddy.33 -

Hi all,
I've never posted on the community, but today I felt the urge to after a long time lurking. I have had quite a journey with my weight and body over the past 15 years. I was a college football player, (defensive line) that had always eaten to try to get bigger (and stronger). By the time I was done with football I started grad school, kept eating like I was playing, and stopped working out.
I went from a decent 285 lbs by the time football ended to a very not decent 295 by the time I got my doctorate. I had lost a lot of muscle and put on quite a bit of fat over 10 years. In 2017, I started dieting and walking a lot and by the end of the year I hit my goal weight and got down to 175. I tracked my food religiously on the App, read all of your tips, tricks, and suggestions on here, but didn't really seriously start to workout again.
Last year, in February I decided to hit the gym hard for the first time in over a decade (after being in there every day from age 13-23). My starting weight in the gym was 177. I fluctuate between 183-186 or so now. Today I did a bod pod analysis with a professor friend of mine. The results came back at 5.2 % body fat!
I just wanted to thank all of you that take the time to post on here it really helps! Below are before 2016 pictures and ones from last summer (I have put on probably 3-4 lbs of muscle since that pic). Cheers MFPers!21 -

Today’s a special day for me so I needed to make a before and after picture. Today 4 years ago is the day I first started using mfp and the day I first started this journey. I lost 35 lb the first year, and then I fell off track for a couple years and gained some back. I’m human. But then this year I kicked it in gear and now have lost 52 lb since this day 4 years ago. To be honest, I think I look younger now than I did 4 years ago.. healthier at least.
Great job! You are beautiful in both pictures. You have the prettiest skin I've ever seen. You look so healthy!38 -
