Decided to take the dog out for a quick lunchtime walk. Ended up walking 1.5 miles in the heat in my dress and had no chub rub! Before I could barely walk around the house in a dress without anti-chafe cream or slip-shorts.23

I had to buy a smaller belt! I have to wear a belt with all my pants now, to keep them up lol. I'm not ready to buy new pants yet, not in the budget19

It's getting hot where I live and have started wearing shorts again. I have pairs of several sizes, and all of them seemed too big. The pair I landed on today fits perfectly at the waist, but is loose in the thighs (walking length). I just looked at the size: Size 10. It took me a minute for that to sink in. This is a pair I've had in the drawer for quite a long time and were always a little uncomfortably tight. I can't really wrap my mind around the fact that the legs are loose.22

I've got two: 1) I had to buy new shorts, and found that the smallest "plus" size was too big! I love the idea of not having to only shop in plus size stores. 2) My BMI is now 28.7 which makes me "overweight" instead of "obese"! Now on to getting to that "normal" range!25

Doing yoga this morning, hugging my knees to my chest is much easier! I’m easily able to clasp my hands together around them.
Sleeping on my side makes my hip hurt now, which I’m thinking is because there is less padding around my hip joint.19 -
Broke 8 minutes in a one mile track run! a 7:50 to be more precise.31

Went to my annual physical this week and my fasting glucose, BP and cholesterol (down30+ points!) were all in normal range. Instead of recommending I lose weight, I was actually asked if I had reached my goal weight yet. It was validation that all of the hard work has paid off.35

Adding a pillow between your knees helps.
This is pretty common as people lose weight in their legs. I think it has to do with the angle of your legs (and the thigh bone in the hip joint) when you have less leg mass. It does get better over time. (At least it did for me.)

There is birthday cake at work for a coworker today. Normally, I would have a small slice, log it, and move on. However, because I had a pizza and cake extravaganza for a family member last night, I just walked on by that office cake today. The victory is that I didn't fall into the "Well, I messed up this week, so might as well have some" fallacy. That's a huge win for me.

Decided on a whim to go swimming Tuesday, grabbed two pieces--top and bottom-- and off we went. Tossed them in the washing machine when I got home. Realized yesterday when I went to put the clean suit away that I'd grabbed the smaller swim skirt--I've been wearing 26/28 for years and Tuesday I yanked on a 22 and didn't even NOTICE.33

Thank you for the advice! I will try that!
NSV of the day, I was thinking I need to take these jeans I’m wearing in…. turns out I already altered these! I went closet shopping and I brought out the last 3 pairs of jeans that I own in smaller sizes and they fit! Woo hoo!
When these ones get to big I’m going to have to actually go shopping though.21 -
I went for a run outside today, to a local woodchip running trail (I usually run on my treadmill at home). And I actually overtook another runner on the trail, and by a fair margin even. I'm no longer the slowest runner, and I set a new personal best for 10km even, 1h06min 😎26

Yesterday was an employee appreciation barbecue picnic. I went in part to see people for the last time who work at different facilities in my organization. I allowed myself to have some of the food that was offered. I did not go back for seconds.
I did go over to the dessert table after I ate and looked at the spread. There were a couple things that actually looked like they'd be tasty, and I just decided not to find out. I was probably one of the fewer people who weren't feeling overstuffed in the afternoon.
I took today off. I walked downtown to put something in certified mail. I also walked farther into town to celebrate by letting myself have a bagel with cream cheese and lox. They had bags of day old bagels, and I was able to just ignore them, and I didn't even get a second plain bagel to bring home. Oh my.
On the way home, I went by Dari-Mart. I thought I'd see if they had pints of Lochmead black licorice ice cream. Well who woulda thunk it; they had it in the very large bins up front, so I could just let myself splurge and celebrate with a single scoop cone and not have a whole pint.
So far it's been a good day. I shall continue celebrating!22 -

Amazon has a slim memory foam one that’s perfect. Just enough cushion to support and separate (anybody here old enough to remember Playtex ads?!), without making you feel like you’re sleeping in a Pilates clamshell.6 -
Today I say goodbye to the 200s for the first time in years!42

I just bought a size medium summer shirt. It fits perfect! A am 14% less body weight from start at the end of January. I have not worn a well fitted, medium shirt for over 6 or more years.25

I work in a school and while in a classroom I decided to try to slide into a desk and I FIT IN IT! I was so excited. I have been here for 3 years and not fit into a desk before.24

Ice cream has been my beloved nemesis for so long. If I have it, I *will* eat it. Doesn't matter if I divide it into servings and bury it in the chest freezer, doesn't matter if I buy bars or such to eat one a day--I'm gonna eat it all. To "get rid of the temptation." Yeah. That.
So lately I've been able to avoid ice cream by not ordering it. We started doing grocery pickup when COVID first hit, and it works so well for us (and COVID isn't actually over) that we keep doing it. I've struggled, but most weeks if I add ice cream to the list, I also go back and delete it.
Last night my kid tried to put ice cream on her list (other people's ice cream is mostly safe from/for me) but the store said they didn't have what she wanted. I had to hit my neighborhood store anyway, to pick up a prescription. I told her I'd get it for her if they had it, and told myself I wasn't getting any for me. None. Zip. No ice cream this week. I can do it.
I came home with a pint container of a new flavor (Whiskey Cake. Whoever came up with the idea of boozy ice cream deserves an award.) But ONLY a pint, despite the "buy 5 save a dollar each!" sale. ONLY a pint, not a half-gallon.
I ate it last night, came in over my deficit goal but under maintenance, and moved on.21 -

YES! That's how we do it! It didn't win. You let yourself enjoy it all, and you're still under maintenance. How awesome is that? I would tell you, but MFP would change the word to kitten.11 -
@sargemarcori check into the Ninja Creami. Much easier to use than the old Donvier type ice cream makers.
I’ve made some pretty darn good low cal ice cream. Tonight is chocolate ice cream. Including a pint of ice cream, two servings of whipped cream, and 6gr chocolate hagel (Dutch chocolate sprinkles) it’s exactly 200 calories.
Usually I’d only eat half the pint but husband out of town and this is my treat to myself., along with either a chicken shawarma or a gyro. Haven’t decided but been saving calories all day for one or the other and ice cream. 😇5 -
Roommate commented that my posture has gotten better as I've lost weight.23

I rest my calories to a lower amount. What was happening was I was eating a bit of this or the crusts of the kids sandwiches and with such a small calorie deficit all those little bites and bits were pushing me over. However, with a bigger deficit those little bits are of no matter. I’ve also been less hungry this week! And it feels so sustainable- so here’s hoping I’ve cracked the code for what this body needs to lose weight and I can make it work and stick with it!13

Another way to do it is to add an "adjustment" to your diary. If you go to a meal (or some category however you wish) and add a food. Search for "Adjustment." You can find one easily that's 100 calories. Give yourself a half serving or full serving of that, or however much makes sense. Just means you're actually doing a better job of logging calories IN so you can find the right balance over time.
I usually do a "quick add calories" to my day for the same purpose, and that's another way to do it.4 -
My brother, who is in a nursing home with Parkinsons, told me my face looked smaller. Thinner. He noticed this even though I had a mask on. Since I see him regularly, I don't think my gradual weight loss had been noticeable to him. But this week he did notice.18
-
I had a neighbor comment that I am looking thin. This is the 1st time anyone (outside my husband) comment about my weight loss. It was nice to know someone else is noticing...
I also wore a pair of jeans that I have not put on for 3 years.28 -
My size 22(UK) trousers feeling loose around the tummy! The scale has only moved 0.9lbs down this week but to be able to not have my tummy piercing be squished on has giving me the boost I need to keep on, week three here I come.21

COMFORTABLY fit a pair of jeans I haven`t been able to wear for 3 years.
Long walk today without the painful calf cramping that normally stops my progress.15 -
I have thought about this before but never thought of it as being a NSV till today and don’t remember anyone ever posting this one before.
I can wear horizontal stripes now and don’t feel fat or subconscious that it makes me look wider than I am!25 -
Walking 9 holes of golf..... 18 just around the corner.17
