Good Tuesday!
I got a lot accomplished today at least as far as Stihl pricing all updated.
Here are the pictures I promised from my DGD's Grad party.
All four grands. Nice to get pics of all four together.
My graduate! She and her best friend made the clover crown at the party. I hadn't seen that done since I was a child. I don't think my daughters ever made them.
Work paperwork to do, but wanted to check in.

Another completed project, not perfect, but I’m happy with the outcome . I’ve had this for 10years or so, before and after

Did my dumbbells. Yay!

Barbara - that must have been scary. Glad you got it resolved.
Barbie- love the teen analogy to babies. Isn’t that the truth.
Michele - I bet you PJ will be riding the bike in no time at all. I’m glad you had a good visit.
I bet Denise was looking forward to a longer visit and was probably sad you didn’t stay longer.
I hope nothing happens to your Labor Day weekend.
Carla - that’s a miserable situation, I hope you find something that’s perfect for you.
Vicki - I’m sorry you couldn’t take the other job.
My Grands parents gave me permission a long time ago to share pictures here and on FB.
I am cautious about what may be seen later as embarrassing to the kids though.
Machka - I read the article you shared and want to thank you. I have now shut off the geotagging, I didn’t know that was a thing. I have the location services on my phone shut off most of the time, but still. I’m always careful about not sharing their full names, schools, activities, etc. I do that for myself too. Here’s a secret, I’m not actually in Edmonton. I know you have an idea where I live though since you are familiar with the area.
Rebecca - 😂😂😂 naked photos
Beth - my husband knows about all of you as well. Probably more than he wants to truth be told. Some health scares that have been shared on here has made him change some of his behaviours.
Katla - sorry for the loss
Debbie - that looks like a peaceful place.
Karen - your brother is a talented artist.
I don’t think I was able to post pictures the first time Michaela went to ceramics with me. I had said to her while she was painting, “that’s great work for a little girl”. Her response was, “I’m not a little girl, I’m an artist”.
The cupcake was her first ever piece of ceramics. I touched up in two little spots.
Pip - I love the refurbishing you are doing.
I went for a 1.96km walk tonight. I was walking in the yard to make it to 2.0 when the rain started harder than I wanted to be in.
I finally have my gynaecologist appointment tomorrow that my doctor referred me to in November. I don’t know if there is any sense in going now, but will just the same.

Went to ceramics tonight

pip – what is there not to be happy about? It’s lovely

While it’s great seeing others’s family pictures. I never have or will ever post pictures especially of my under age family members on an open forum. No FB. You never know.. who is lurking? Too many children go missing.3

Just my thoughts.. No paranoid.. just the sign of the times.3

Pip, how pretty! You guys did a great job!
Faithcreek, I have sailor kids so I am always careful in keeping their info on the down low. No worries, your thoughts are welcome here. 👍

Never.. to each it’s own!3 -
I try to be cautious about putting info online, especially now with the facial recognition software. That's why my profile picture is my dog Teddy, alongside a pet rabbit. I'm probably on the paranoid side.

I thought it was a good article too. There are others as well (google).
The metadata and geotagging thing was something I learned when I participated in a photography forum. To participate in their contests and things, they wanted us to post the photo AND the metadata. I did that for a while, but it kind of turned me off. I could understand why ... they wanted to take steps to ensure it was your photo and not something you'd grabbed from the internet, especially since there are legal issues with grabbing photos off the internet. But that metadata can kind of put your information out there.
Sort of related ... one of the first things I did when I got my phone back was to remove all the photos. They're backed up so I've still got them but they're not on my phone anymore. I have taken more photos since, so I have got a few on my phone, but not many, and I'll download them much more frequently.
How to Safely Share Photos of Your Child on Social Media

Risks:- Risk of Identity Theft
- Difficult to Remove
- Lose Control of the Image
- Photos Belong to Site Owners
Steps:- Check Your Privacy Settings
- Turn Off the Metadata
- Double-Check Every Photo
- Ask Permission
- Refrain From Posting Photos of Other Kids
- Consider Other Mediums
- Read the Fine Print
Anyway, it is up to the individual ... but it's always good to have the information when we make decisions.
And just to clarify to those who were insulted ... nowhere did anyone say that your photos were offensive.

KarenVA … I love your brother’s art!

Also to clarify I do not believe anybody at least I wasn't insulted. Voicing a different opinion does not mean you have been insulted it just means you have a different opinion about the topic.

Lanette, Heather, Katla was it you who mentioned Dr. Tim Spector’s work on the gut microbiome? Looks like he’s associated with a Zoe study that Dr. John Campbell has just signed up for. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2GfN-wyPDY
Welcome @MaryQueena! What Beth said. We have many loving discussions which conclude with us agreeing to disagree.
Welcome @rosenberrypam Pam in MI.
Lisa hope the crown goes on well and stays put.
Barbie loved your “..different ways of screaming, pooping and smelling…” advice to Allie. That is a great mantra.
Julie sad to hear French schools are going the way of all corporations, maximize profit regardless of the consequences.
Michele so glad you got to spend time with PJ, sorry about the swimming disappointment.
Carla Fingers X’d your and Freddie’s searches for other employment net you wonderful jobs with appreciative people and equivalent or better benefits. Your work situation sounds toxic.
Vickie brava for applying, so sorry the insurance situation broke the deal. Likewise hope and pray for another better job offer.
Katla glad you explained the blueberries came from the freezer. I was getting jealous your crop was already ripe, when our wild huckleberries are barely in blossom. So very sorry for your dear friend’s sad loss.
Allie brava for expediting that delivery. your sense of humor, I’ve never been able to laugh in the face of a mammogram. ;}
I have no children or grandchildren of my own, so enjoy my mfp pals’ grands vicariously. I would be sad to miss those pics, but if their parents preferred not to have them posted to a public forum, like Rita and others, I’d have to respect their decision. Otherwise I’m with Lisa.
Pip smooch that pooch!
Karen thanks for posting your brother’s latest, breathtaking creation. You have been much in my thoughts lately. Are you still planning a move?
Debbie was that the Napa river? I’m with your friend, I don’t want to be near any s-s-s-nakes!!!
Tracey not only is Michaela an artist, she’s a wit!
Still not accountable, low energy, no enthusiasm.
Lighter, lovelies!
