Lisa: Happy anniversary, and many more! Consider myself very lucky to have met your awesome DH.
Katla: Likewise, please let your DH know I am sending him healing energy. Hope the visit with MD brings results. Glad to hear the kids are coming. Take care of you, too!
The Colorado Avalanche have won the Stanley Cup. Jubilation all through town, as one thing Denver loves is a championship pro team. The official parade is Thursday and my company is providing staff for that, so I have to decide if I want to work the parade/City Park celebration which will easily draw over 1 million people. I get such a rush being in big excited crowds, but it will be hot.
Stay well friends. We can do this.

My father’s service was very nice. My mother’s pastor spoke, my pastor did the remembrances. He was at their church before mine. A military pastor spoke about Daddy’s service in the Korean war, told all the places he served and what he did. We sent him Daddy’s discharge paperwork and he researched it. Daddy was a mechanic who drove and worked on the big tanks. Then this pastor had all the veterans stand and give Daddy one final salute. The regular Army guys did the flag and taps at the graveside. Just as we were dismissed a huge helicopter flew over. People at the service thought that was something we paid for. We didn’t. It was pure coincidence, but it surely added to the service!
I am now working hard to get off the ten pounds I gained from stress eating. I have gotten well over 10,000 steps for the last three days and am following my boundaries fairly well. I an also working on staying in bed for 8 hours straight. My sleep patterns have been so disrupted that it is very hard to stay asleep the entire 8 hours, but at least I’m in bed. My nutrition coach says it will be impossible for me to achieve my weight loss goals if I can’t give my body the rest it needs, so I am trying.13 -
Kay ~ It sounds like your father had the sweetest of services.

The carpet cleaner is here. We moved the smaller furniture and she's going around the big pieces. Jake and I are sitting on dining room chair's that we moved into the kitchen, Bessie is lying between us on some towels, and Bernie is under the bed in the uncarpeted bedroom. She's almost finished then we wait a few hours til the carpet dries. We can get to the bathroom and the back yard without stepping on the carpet so all is good. 🌞🌻🎶3

Pip - Thanks! Loved your pic with Kirby... Hope your celebration was wonderful.
Everyone who responded, thank you! I look at those pictures and the last 13 years and am so grateful to have this man in my life--he brought me a son and a daughter, and after that, three little people who hug me and call me Gramily... so many things I never dreamed of. When you find out at 25 that you're sterile, you give up on a lot of different futures.
Then at 48, you find magic. Well, I did. He still smiles down at me like that--I catch him doing it every once in a while. I savor every moment, every smile, every laugh, every word, every touch. Over the last six years, you have all taught me, over and over again, how precious this relationship is, and I am grateful.
Love y'all,

Lisa- loved seeing your wedding photos. You both look so happy. Congratulations.
Today was interesting. I got up early to go to water aerobics as today was the last day for my friend to teach. She arrived dressed to go sign paperwork for their new assisted living apartment. So she told everyone goodbye and left. 15 pairs of eyes looked at me and said aren’t you going to lead us? Well, I was not really ready to do so but there was no one else. So I guess I have a new responsibility. Unfortunately, we are leaving Thursday for a week. Maybe they will decide they don’t need me.
Heather- the pictures are breath taking. I would love to go there someday.
Got to go to bed early.

Allie – how frustrating!
Katie – what a lovely service!
Ceramics tomorrow night. Hopefully, I’ll get my sand dollar placque. For some reason, one tny part was much lighter. I put 4 coats of paint, had it refired, it still was light. So I put acrylic on it and now it has to be sprayed. Maybe tomorrow I’ll be able to bring it home

made it through my hour of zumba, BARELY- I was really dragging at the end.
Going to have dinner(just fish sticks , too tired to make anything else), grab a shower and go to bed. Tomorrow night will be another at MIL's.
Next week add in pet sitting, going over twice a day for 5 days to my friends. Plus having my daycare girl. I think I only have one night with MIL and no zumba on the forth so I get a little break.
Have a good night ladies

Pip - Depression has a million faces, it’s a beautiful pic despite it.
How was Top Gun?
I am not a cookie fan 90% of the time but those cookies sound delicious.
Lisa - happy anniversary l love your pictures.
Heather - thanks for sharing your cruise with us. I’m enjoying it.
Debbie - I would have let her call the social worker. The advice alone might be worth hearing.
Vicki - I hope you find someone soon.
Allie - they should be able to pick up the phone.
Rori - my son in law is quite ecstatic. I can’t wait to her my Granddaughter’s retelling of the win.
I like the rush of people too.
Kay - it seems your Father was given a beautiful service. Hugs to you.
Had a fairly decent work day. Payroll has to be submitted today instead of tomorrow because of Canada Day on Friday.
I’m looking forward to another long weekend.
Pip - I did an upcycle project this weekend. My cousin gave me three of these little stools. I used a cam of black spray paint and a vinyl tablecloth from the dollar store.
Tracey in Edmonton7 -
Tracey- the only problem is she would not understand what the worker was saying.
She has a "disconnect in her brain" is how the doctors describe it- something to do with trying to translate in her mind from English to Okinawan. It isn't totally a hearing problem , like she says it is- they tested her.
Dh text me- said she was a lot better so far tonight- no yelling at him. He thinks it is because she was humbled by the fact that she keeps messing her pants and cant control it and depends on us to clean her up- I am hoping this is just a reaction to one of her new meds and not the new normal.
changed her shower time from tomorrow evening to Thursday morning. I am off Thursday and dh wants to come home by 6PM tomorrow so he can sleep before work. I don't get done with work until 4:30.
This also lets her have a shower when it is warm and let her hair air dry instead of being wet when she goes to bed(she goes to bed about 5-6)3 -

Tuesday ... you can tell it's winter by the snow on the mountain and all the green ...
Plus rowing, pilates and weights.
Machka in Oz5 -
WiFi dodgy as we are at sea. Posts will be limited.
Katie - You all did your dad proud. Good memories. How great about the helicopter!
Yes, Lanette, it's light all the time.
I'm going to a salsa class today. Hope DH can do it with me. The sea is quite flat and it's foggy.
Then I will go line dancing this afternoon.
We did our gymming this morning early.
Love Heather xxxxxxxx3 -
Machka- went to Dr and she was running an hour behind they told me to come back tomorrow, they could have picked up the phone and called to tell me that for goodness sake.
Morning ladies.. im up and dressed and going over to take care of the little guy2 -
Good morning all from The Ozark’s! It’s 61 degrees and I’m in heaven! Sitting on my porch watching hummingbirds and listening to the light pat of rain and other sounds of nature! Dinner with friends from Texas was so much fun last night. It’s great to connect. Hair appointment this morning! Yay! I love having my hair done.
Lanette SW WA State - Yes!! The formation is fascinating (eroded bluffs from 500 - 300M years ago) and you can find tons of fossils here. I absolutely love this land. Sharing a couple of fossil pics!We have these all over our property!
Tina in CA - I’m sure you’ll reach that 10K goal! Do you take anything for your knees? I take multi-collagen that seems to work for me. I used to think it was just placebo but over time I’ve learned it’s actually helping.
drkatiebug - very sorry for your loss. Sounds like the service truly honored him in a way he would have loved.
Pip Happy Anniversary and many more!!
Michele NC Would love to see your ceramic piece when you’re done. As a kid I grew up doing ceramics every summer with my grandma. )
Debbie Napa Valley, CA - Great job that you DID Zumba!! I doubt I would last 15 minutes lol

Pip:
💞🥂 Happy Anniversary 🥂💞
Allie: They SHOULD have picked up the phone!
Heather: 🥰 all the 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼
It’s a bucketing wet day today, but may clear up later. I still have things I want to get done in the garden.
I had a lovely time at Craft this morning. It was the last session until September. I’ll still be working on my current project over the summer.
Just the monthly meeting on Thursday, and Parchment on Friday, then all my planned activities are over until after the summer (September)
🥳🎉 Cheers to all those celebrating.

Allie - hope the results are good!
Heather - I look for your posts every morning. Thank you for bringing us along on your voyage!
Katie - As funerals go, it sounds as if your dad's was a loving and respectful tribute. The unexpected helicopter flyover was wonderful.
Rori - I love the fact that Corey and I got to meet you so long ago! It started me on the Girl Scouts grant writer journey, and three years where I could finally say my work had meaning. Those years are still immensely important to me--and I'm so pleased they were the coda to my work life. Took me about a half hour, but finally found the one image of the day we met. Couldn't find one of Corey, and not sure we took one!. It's blurry as all get out, but still us:
Later, y'all,
Love,
Lisa

Good morning all! Happy Tuesday!
Heather- Love the pics! Such a stunning area!
Pip- It is a wonderful pic of you and Kirby! Depression is insidious! It can hide behind the happiest of faces. Hugs to you, friend!
Suebdew- Kudos on picking up the mantle of swim leader. Is this an organized class that you pay for? If you are taking over as teacher/leader; make sure you are paid for it. It is your time.
Kay- Your dad's service sounds wonderful! What a send off!
Tracey- Cute little stool!
Well, I survived our first field trip of the summer, yesterday! It was the first once since summer of 2019, due to covid and stay at home/shutdown; so it was also the first field trip/first trip they can remember for the majority of my kiddos. It was a lot of fun. Only four kids, due to one mama's work schedule change. We played on the playgrounds, at the splash pad, walked the pier, boardwalk, and downtown area. Ate at a food truck, rode the trolley, got ice cream, played corn hole and foos ball in the social area, rested for a minute. lol I remembered to put sunscreen on the kids, but forgot about myself and got a full face, chest, arms of sun. A bit crispy feeling, but it will turn to tan, so I am not too worried. All in all, a really great day.
Kids have arrived and are chomping on the bit to get busy. I have 11 today. lol No rest for the wicked. OH! I weighed myself this morning! Last Monday morning I weighed 268, this morning I weighed 261. I know this is not the norm, but I will take it. A nice little kick off for my healthy choices. So, I lost my five pounds. I have five pounds to lose. lol ttfn xoxoxo KJ (Kelly)
