How was Top Gun?
I am not a cookie fan 90% of the time but those cookies sound delicious.

Lisa - happy anniversary l love your pictures.
Heather - thanks for sharing your cruise with us. Iβm enjoying it.
Debbie - I would have let her call the social worker. The advice alone might be worth hearing.
Vicki - I hope you find someone soon.
Allie - they should be able to pick up the phone.
Rori - my son in law is quite ecstatic. I canβt wait to her my Granddaughterβs retelling of the win.
I like the rush of people too.
Kay - it seems your Father was given a beautiful service. Hugs to you.
Had a fairly decent work day. Payroll has to be submitted today instead of tomorrow because of Canada Day on Friday.
Iβm looking forward to another long weekend.
Pip - I did an upcycle project this weekend. My cousin gave me three of these little stools. I used a cam of black spray paint and a vinyl tablecloth from the dollar store.

Cute!
Top gun was okay. Kirby loved it. We also rented the new Nicholas cage movie, I liked that one better.2 -

Oh Kay, we call those are GODcidences!!! How wonderful.1

KJ - Such fun. 11 sounds a heavy day though!
The salsa was terrific. They are such good teachers. We learnt 6 moves in 45 minutes. DH joined in, very reluctantly, but he managed the course. Thursday is the waltz. He hopes to join that, but it depends on the swell.
I'm now waiting for line dancing to start. Knees can feel the salsa.
Formal tonight. I'm planning to wear my 'Mexican' dress. I will take a photo. The next Formal is Friday.
We got our money refunded to my credit card for the transport to the port. Then we got an excellent bottle of wine for our trouble. Then we reminded them we had been promised a Β£25 voucher from the car company, so they gave us Β£25 each. We are Β£45 in on board account profit, despite buying photos. It always pays to ask.
DH and I had a 'domestic' a few days ago, but we have both resolved to mend our ways and do better. All good now. He almost apologised for his behaviour and has been very attentive. I too have my faults. Generally we get on extremely well on holiday, but we always have one major bust up.

Morning all. Been to aerobics and they came back.
KJ- this is not an organized group Twenty four years ago we started with with twelve of us doing aerobics in the pool. My friend who just moved kept to going over the years. No pay, just makIng new friends.
Doing last minute odd and ends to get ready for trip. Later

Heather-Sorry you had a "domestic." It puts a damper on the trip. We have about one per trip too and it's difficult to get past sometimes. I have found that if our trips are ten days or less, we do fine most of the time.
Leslie-I don't specifically take it for my knees, but I do take glucosamine/chondroitin daily. I find that I don't necessarily notice when I'm taking it regularly, but I do notice when I'm not.
Kay-Sounds like a nice send off for your father.
Machka-I have a question about raising bees. When you took your classes, was there mention about daily tasks for a few months out of the year? Our friend in Germany has to do something daily for 3-4 months of the year, so she cannot go on vacations during that time.
Off to get in my run before it's scorchingly hot.

Katiebug--The service for your dad sounds beautiful and meaningful.
Tracey--The stools look very nice.
KJ--What a great outing for you and the children. Did I say I wish I was in your daycare!
Going to watch our DGD's ballgame tonight. It is her last home game this summer. Our other grand daughter that we have not seen in 3 1/2 years is visiting our son for the week. Her mom is not talking to us since we didn't co-sign for them to get a house and does not let us see the grand children. Any way was over Saturday afternoon to spend time with her and tonight. She is almost 14 and has been writing to us through the other grandma. Not the best deal, but take what we can get at this point. Anyway looking forward to that.
Blessings, Vicki GRAND ISLAND, NE6 -

Hello Barbie and crew...I am returning to MyFitPal. I have lost 13 pounds in three years (a bumpy road but overall stable) and have rejoined MFP in earnest. Can't beat its ease of logging food, tracking nutrition intake and connecting to exercise apps. This time I am looking for community support. I have learned some great lessons from other programs. Noom is great for the psychological insights into changing habits. Fastix had some terrific information about intermittent fasting (for me, that means not eating at night) and the effect of fasting on staving off diseases (very motivating!). Fastix makes the case that it is an act of kindness to allow our bodies time to digest and metabolize food...and to rest. I am very much into being kind to myself. I am bringing these great ideas with me as I enter into our community.
I like the idea of setting monthly goals. Hope this continues through summer and all of 2022. Do we start new discussion threads each month? Count me in! If there is something I need to do to join a group, could someone let me know? New to MFP social aspect.

Katla - sending good thoughts for your DH. Hope your children arrive safely to give you both support. Take care.
So glad it is cooler today. I have worked in the guest room making the bed, etc. We will have company for the weekend. Also did a little work outside. Still need to get gazebo chairs washed off.
Everyone take care, Sue in WA3 -
Katla thinking of you and your DH! Hope all goes smoothly.
I'm mad at my scale so I ate a bunch of chocolate. I might skip dumbbells tonight too. Not very rational.
I decided to bring up my mom's memory appointment to give her a chance to refuse to go. I didn't mention the word memory. But she seems okay with it. So that's a relief for me. It's a week from today so I better do the paperwork.

Katla - sending big hugs to you and DH. Wishing safe flight for the kids so glad they are coming and glad too your niece isn't too far away.

Katla Prayers and hugs! Safe travels for your family and healing hands for the doctors caring for your husband. Take care of yourself!
Annie One bad decision does not mean the end. YOU have this! Hugs!
Nothing exciting this direction. Sunday was migraine bad. Spent the day in nightgown, on couch, with blinds pulled. Once the storm front came through, the head quit pounding (about 9:30 at night). The only good thing was that I caught up with registrations and warranties for work (only took 12 hours). DH had a doctor's appointment this morning. His Glucose and A1C were a little more elevated than the past 3 years. Still only 5.8, but worth addressing with dietary changes. He has somehow lost 3 pounds in a month. I need to figure out how he has done it!
Better get some work done.

Bummed. An appointment in a month to see if the shoulder will heal on its own and to see if the pain is less as time goes on5

Lisa and Pip-Congrats and great pictures! I like seeing happy couples.
Katie-your fatherβs service sounds like a perfect remembrance. I always find the flag folding and taps to be so emotional.
Tracey-cute stools-creative!
Heather-it is not uncommon for a few drinks to be involved with arguments. Glad you made up.
Allie-good news on blood work!
Katla-prayers for your DH and you. Diabetes can be so brutal. Glad your children are heading your way.
Quiet day today. Worked from home. Went for walk before logging in since I didn't have to get dressed for office. Cooler temperatures today so was down right chilly when I was walking. Heating up tomorrow.
Got hair cut today. Finally tired of A-line bob cut. My hair is thin but thick and in the heat it is horrible. Got a bunch of layers in it and short so I can wash and let it air dry if I want. Think I will like it once I get used to it. If not-it always grows-and very quickly. I have very healthy hair.
Off to get some things ready for when son and DIL come over Friday to take some things to their new house. The plan is for me to drive over following them Friday so I can see the house. They are, understandably, very proud. I am proud of them also!
Take care all,
Ginny in Ohio
