July 2 is "halfway day" meaning that it is halfway through the year. What a great time to make a clean start on new habits and behaviours that will improve the quality of your life.
The women on this thread have supported and encouraged me for years. I drop in here every morning to be connected to my community. My life is better because of this.
Please let us know a name we can call you and a location either specific or general to make it easier to get to know each other.
Be sure to bookmark this thread so you can find it again.
My one word theme for 2022 is "continue". I have built many good habits over the years and this year I want to focus on continuing them.

My current goals are to get through each day with the best attitude I can. I am trying to work through my health so that I can support my DH and family.
I love the support of all of you ladies!

2022 GoalsMy 2022 goals are a continuation of my 2021 goals.
Upcoming Appointments
Education/Career
Medical
House
Office
Computer
Garden
Spiritual
Fitness/Sports
Cycling
Audax Tasmania
Recreation
House > Office > Computer become more specific as they go along. I have a number of thing which need to be done in the house (sleeping room, dining room, etc.) but most importantly the home office needs a whole lot of work. And along with that I need to organise the drives on my computer into a better filing system.
The goal is to have an organised and decluttered house.
Progress: This has pretty much come to a halt.
Fitness/Sports > Cycling > Audax Tasmania also become more specific as they go along. There are a number of fitness/sport things I'd like to try, with a focus on cycling, and a large part of my cycling endeavours includes my volunteer work with Audax Tasmania ... and maybe even riding some events again myself!
The goal it to improve my fitness level.
Progress: Not bad. I've been active but the paperwork side of my sport is sliding a bit.
Garden is a very small category because that's my husband's domain but I'd like to finish weeding the place and get some flowers and other plants going to choke out the weeds.
The goal is to have a relaxing and functional area outside for reading, exercise and socialising.
Progress: This has slowed a lot with winter
Medical is mostly my husband's appointments, which I also need to attend because I'm his ears and cognition. It's also me now with my recent diagnosis.
The goal is to keep him as healthy as he can be.
Progress: We're looking at the diet end of things.
Education/Career ... little things like becoming really good at SQL, brushing up on VB, and learning data analysis software.
The goal is to expand my skillset.
Progress: I learned a lot in the 6-month position I just completed. On to new things.
June was a roller coaster ... up and down all over the place. Losing my phone. Getting it back a couple days later. Being diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease but fortunately, not Diabetes. COVID outbreak in my office. Working from home. And wrapping up the job I've done for the past 6 months but only being able to say "farewell" to a couple of my work colleagues because everyone else was out with COVID. Cycling another 50 km event and going to the first in-person play we've been to in quite a while.
June is also usually a low month for me, if I'm here in Australia, because the daylight hours reach their minimum around June 21. I go to work in the early dawn and come home in the dark. I'm a sun person. I thrive on daylight. In the past, when we could travel (pre-2018), we'd often go to the northern hemisphere in June to get away from the darkness. We can't do that now, but I must say that working 4 day weeks, as I did throughout this June, really helped. So did working from home this past week! At home, I am surrounded by windows to see daylight outside and from my home office area, I can see the bay just over the way - green trees, blue water. It's lovely!
On July 5, I will start my new job and will have an extra 6 minutes of daylight that evening ... consistently growing through the month of July. It's the little things.
Meanwhile, I've got a 4-day weekend between my two jobs and I'm about to get out in the garden to enjoy the first day.
July ...
FT Work - At new job. New office. New bus schedules. New people.
PT Work as "Legal Assistant" (j/k) most evenings and some days - I've got 2 smaller and 1 larger document to finish in the next few days.
Medical stuff in about mid-month.
Cycling club events, advertising, paperwork, etc.
As much cycling and walking as I can toss into the mix.
A bit of gardening ... mostly on weekends.
And whatever I can accomplish from my To Do list.

Happy Canada Day to you too Machka. π¨π¦
The grands and our daughters and Grandpup are all coming to visit tomorrow. The Grands and their Mom are coming for the parade and will be going to the fireworks with me. Kaitlyn and Ember will come for part of the day.
My cousinβs granddaughter, the one who has lost both parents and grandparents in the last three years had her second baby girl today. (June 30) Her name is Lexie Sheri Faith. She was 19 days early, she seemed to have slowed her growth significantly so Mama was induced. They will be in the hospital until Saturday to make sure all is well with baby.
I know there was a lot I wanted to comment on, but didnβt take notes.
Thanks Barbie for the new month. I feel like we sit and have a coffee everyday and I miss it if I miss a day.

Our son and daughter are here and rearranging the house to improve safety. We will all work on making our place safer and easier for DH. I hope it goes well. β€οΈ
I'm glad to hear it. Is your DH still in ICU?
I presume these changes will also make things safer for you as well. I hope they're taking care of you -- I expect they are.

I didnβt receive it. Apparently, MFP doesnβt let you send PMs to people unless they are on your friends list.
Allie: π₯³Happy Birthday π π
Beth: You did the right thing. Sorry that you had that stress and the car was damaged. Your DH was probably reacting to the prang + his diagnosis.
Time to move π
