@LisaLethal You are going down so you are going in the right direction. Next week will be perfect!
@seltzer_lover Congratulation on one year. You made the best out of it! Thank you for the Friend request, I do feel a bit lonely here.

I messed up BIG time. Dog crawled under my bed. In the past, she has tried to eat out the underside of my box spring. So, I immediately drop to my knees to pull her out from underneath the bed and searing pain shot up both of my thighs. Some of the worst pain I have ever experienced. Sister is a physical therapist, so I called her. She said it doesn't sound like I tore it since there wasn't a ripping or snapping sensation, but I'm currently on bed rest with some much needed RICE treatment- Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation.
The worst part was I couldn't even scream because I had mouthwash in my mouth. That said, the dog did crawl out from underneath the bed to see why I kept making pained noises.7 -

🌻 July GOALS! 🌻
🟨 Log daily on MFP and track on my spreadsheet Yes
🟨 Keep making progress with walking longer and walk 6 days a week Yes
🟨 Add strength training (weights, body weight and stretching)
🟨 plan and cook healthy meals at home Yes
🟨 Eat at a sensible deficit Yes
I really want to get to the mid 240s ASAP. My next goal since I started my last job and after I got my current scale is to get to the low that I had before I started that job and started to gain what I lost during the pandemic furlough. It is in the 245 lbs range. Which would recapture the 20 plus lbs lost I had worked for so hard after the pandemic started but also the 6 lbs higher that my current scale showed over my old scale. I am so close and I am being pretty consistent with lower calories. I still need to add a day of strength training. I think the reason I am not losing as fast as before (which wasn't that fast) is I haven't yet recovered my fitness level from before treatment from breast cancer at the end of last year. I have made progress on this but am not there yet.
Today was Friday breakfast which I got myself since my husband had to leave early for a site visit today. Tonight we are having my niece and her 2 little boys over with my sister and brother-in-law on our remodeled deck. We will have no-salt fajitas which means corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas and means I have to make my own pico de gallo and quacamole without salt. I am going to use fresh mozzarella instead of queso fresco since it is the lowest salt cheese I can find. I will see what I can do with sour cream today at the store. I felt bad I hadn’t called to get together with them since she came into town but with my family going to Hawaii, my youngest having new diet restrictions, and we are trying to clean up our carport I just can’t get the house straight. We have 3 boxes to sort through in the living room. I called and invited them only for outdoors and it turned out my sister felt the same and my niece felt safer on the deck and wouldn’t have come over if it was inside anyway. So this should be fun. It isn’t as hot as it has been. So I have a lot of work to do after this.
However last night we had very sad news. My mother-in-law died. After that the 3 of us just got on our bed and cried and talked and prayed. Then my youngest got down on the floor with her work computer and worked since they knew they would soon be going back to Hawaii for the funeral. I am so glad they got to see their Popo/mother so recently. I got to see my MIL just this spring. My son went not too long ago but he couldn’t come now since my grandson is due soon. I am blessed to have had such a sweet MIL. She gave me more jewelry than my husband has. She always supported me. She was a great Popo (paternal grandmother in the Chinese dialect of my husband’s family). I asked my husband did he still want to have the dinner tonight and he said yes. My sister and her husband are so sweet and I am very close to this sister. I lived with them when my niece was still young so I am close with her as well. She has been such a wonderful cousin to my youngest.
So we three will be off to Hawaii soon for the funeral. My husband may need to stay longer to help with things. So if I become MIA you will know why.
@Alatariel75 Sorry you are feeling so bad. This isn’t the time for dieting. This is the time to get well. However, eating healthy never hurts. Soup is good. Glad your friend came through with the pho. When our youngest who is living at home got COVID we directed them downstairs and delivered meals and beverages. We didn’t get it but it would have been harder if it was either my husband or me that got it. I am not surprised your husband got it too. Take care.
@CupcakeCrusoe I am at .2 lbs lost so I hear you. Thanks for telling me the name of the rice. I am finding it hard to find recipes in East. But then they all look good. I think I am not used to using an eBook cookbook.
@kenziestabes nice loss!
@justanotherloser007 Glad the spanakopita turned out well. You are making steady progress this month. I haven’t been able to get any nutritional yeast. Your post gave me some more motivation. It is on my shopping list. Yes I need to cut down on cheeses.
@cosmiccurves I wish there was a good term for getting down into of the next lower 10 lbs. I think of them as decades but that is for years not lbs. Maybe declbs. I am struggling to stay out of the 250s and get through the 240s. But I find making it into the lower 10 lb increment is challenging and feels like a watershed. My weight varies a lot so even when my low is in the 240s my high can be in the 250s. I have to be almost out of the lower 10 lbs increment to not see the upper one. That is what my goal is now to get low enough in the lower one that I don’t pop up into the upper one for a day or 2. It is almost like I have to be in the 230s for my highs not to be in the 250s. Anyway good job making it down into the next lower declbs.
@The_Fat_Optimist That is the way to show your stomach/body who is the boss. Sometimes we need to listen to our bodies and others we need to ignore it. It takes work to tell the difference. I find this with exercise too. There are some twinges I listen too and others I don’t. I am glad you clicked on getting healthy being the goal. Now that is progress. Nice to get both this month.
@selter_lover glad you are feeling better. Congrats on this year of getting healthier. I lost at first with eating a lot of what things like Starbuck’s and desserts but as I lose I find that I have to give somethings up. Mostly it is the amounts of those things. I lost 40 lbs while going to Starbuck’s for breakfast every weekday on the way to work. Now I just have it on Fridays. As to chocolates don’t ever give dark chocolate up. They are good for you. However it often isn’t the chocolate that is bad but the sugar and other ingredients that are combined with it.
@LisaLethal What a lot of progress this month. My youngest who is 28 is struggling with eating related health problems ate pretty healthy at home but when they went off to college started eating some more junk. I remember how I would sneak veggies into things and finally they liked them. It is a challenge. They never liked salads until we had a Caesar salad out. Because the egg issue I stopped making them but I mimicked the one we liked at a restaurant which used hard boiled eggs chopped up and they love my Caesar salad.
@bojaantje3822 I haven’t mastered ordering clothes online either. I am going to try thredup that was recommended though.
4 -
@KeriA thredup looks cool. I'm bound by location to stick with zalando and asos so I kinda know what to look for there and sometimes I luck out and find a great piece from a place that's completely new to me. And sometimes I miscalculate... but yeah, I don't have many useful clothing suggestions for people in the US0

Hello,
I was wrong about being negative for Covid. I do have it… 3 test was the charm. My cousin called to say she was positive and I had just seen her Saturday. Her symptoms started Sunday, so I retested and so was positive. I guess it took a bit for me develop antibodies or whatever for the test to go positive. Good lesson. I’ve been laying around in bed for 3 days . Have been tracking my food but today was dizzy so was not eating enough… I had a low carb quesadilla w salsa and feel better… haven’t been hungry. Anyways, can’t wait to be well again. Yes, I’ve been immunized.5 -
Got a new bed spread/duvet this week. Way too hot for a polyester comforter, so I got one of those cooling duvets and a light cotton duvet cover. We shall see if that helps.
@kenziestabes please report in! I spend all night throwing the comforter off bc I'm hot, then the AC comes on and I pull it back over me... Hurray for one year!
@justanotherloser007 yay for a cheese replacement! I am trying to stay away from cheese right now, with the idea of teaching myself I don't *have* to put cheese on *everything.* Bc I do that--and then I put on way too *much.* Trying to find that world beyond cheese, before I'm forced to.
@seltzer_lover WHOO for one year! That's a fantastic total!
okay, I was going to do a whole tag party and I ran out of time. so...Age: 52
Height: 5'
SW: 266.6 (1/4/21)
January 2022: 233.5
February: 235.4
March 230.9
April 226.8
May 225
June 224.6
7/1: 228.6
7/8: 224.8
7/15: 223.8
7/22: 224 So annoying! I was at 222.4 yesterday. And I've been making good choices, so I know it's not true. Therefore when I saw that total this morning I just flipped off my scale and got on with my day.
7/29:
Yesterday I made sweet potatoes in the Instant Pot, sauteed some onions and bell peppers, and dumped it all together with some barbecue sauce and leftover rotisserie chicken and ZOMG that was good! So proud of myself for using what I had on hand to make something YUMMY and healthy.2 -
Picture time! The yellow vest pictures are from a concert one year ago tomorrow. The gray t-shirt photos are from this afternoon (relatively same time of day as the year old pictures). 55.5 pounds difference.

A Thank-You to Everyone :
Tomorrow I head to Alaska, and a few days later, I get on that tiny float plane to take my mother on her bucket-list journey to see the grizzlies in the wild.
I'm at flight weight minus 4 pounds...and my boots and clothes weigh 4 pounds, so I'll be right on target.
Thank you all so much for your encouragement and help to make it possible! 🐻🐻🐻💗🐻🐻🐻

@kenziestabes great pics! I always have trouble picturing someone roughly my age and height losing weight from 100+kg. It sometimes seems like it's all tiny women who lose like 35 lbs and go down 6 clothing sizes and that never translates to my body. So even though your starting point is some 15-20lbs down from my current weight, this is so insightful, thank you for sharing! It's a very clear difference, which I didn't expect from 55lbs.2

Work was crazy busy for me this week and I ended up off plan since I had to go into the office and attend meetings all day and eat lunch and dinner at the meetings. Then it was just busy, and I am having a hard time getting back on track! Also, someone at the meetings came down with COVID so now I need to see if I end up with it! Anyway, I am back and working on getting back on track! I haven’t been able to read posts each day as my internet has been acting up too. I will try to catch up soon and get back into the swing of things.
• Sticking to my plan 95% of the time. Only small variations.
• Lose 5 pounds (down to 246)
• Start more regular exercise again. I was doing something every other day, but I got out of the habit and need to get back.
7/1: 251
7/8: 252
7/15: 246.6 – Yay I am finally down!
7/23: 253.0 – I have been off plan since the 19th so I need to get back to work!

Good morning everyone!
184.4 this morning, which is fine. The baby decided I wasn't allowed to sleep anymore, even though she is being very sleepy herself.
Might as well use this time to write some postcards to voters. There's a constitutional amendment in Kansas that will be very important coming up in the August primaries.
Today is Video Vamp, which is a new class for me, but it's a choreographed dance of a popular music video, so I'm excited to see which one. And then poles.
Today I need to clean up, put the last couple things away that we moved to clean the carpets, go grocery shopping, go to the zero waste store, the gym, and then I get to be a cat in a video game. Tonight is cheeseburgers, last night ended up being leftovers.
Tag party time:
@bojaantje3822 I'm sorry about your story, that's absolutely horrible.
Ooh, I hate leggings that feel like tights! That cheap rip-any-second feeling. Hate that.
@pamperedlinny I hope you have a good rest this weekend.
@kenziestabes WOW incredible work! Well done! Happy MFPiversary. I'm sorry to hear you've exacerbated whatever your legs have going on, mojo it gets better soon.
@justanotherloser007 oof, having that kind of reaction to salt sounds terrible. I'm glad you're dealing with it well.
@cosmiccurves YASS way to go! In the 80's!
@The_Fat_Optimist I'm glad that the AIP is making you feel better, is this a long term thing, or do you start adding things back in, eventually? Congratulations on your progress, you're working very hard.
If I were on MFP for more than the forums, I would friend request everyone in here, but since I'm only here in the forums and don't use MFP for anything else (I log my food on MacroFactor), no friends. So if you've sent me a request and I haven't responded, it's because there's no point to being my MFP friend, I don't post anything outside the forums, lol.
@seltzer_lover oh no someone is cutting onions in here. WELL DONE. Happy MFPiversary to you, too. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better.
@LisaLethal weight loss is made in the kitchen, as you're finding out. I love the balanced approach you are taking, and you're making good progress! Weight loss is practice for life after weight loss, and the way you're handling the fair(s) is very practical.
@KeriA Condolences for your MIL. Thinking of you and your family. I'm glad you still had your sister over, sounds like a fun time and much needed.
@Ineedtolose50lbs I'm sorry to hear COVID got you! Rest up, hydrate, and yes, make sure you're eating something to keep your strength up! Mojo you get well soonest.
@sargemarcori sometimes dinners we throw together with bits and bobs can be the most satisfying!
I love that you flipped off your scale and got on with your day Scales can be lying liars sometimes.
@tahitig HOORAY YOU DID IT! CONGRATULATIONS! Have fun on your trip! I would like to see a picture of bears if you don't mind!
Time to get going, have a great Saturday, everyone!

There was a surprise weigh in at the competition today. It said 125kg.
I got 5th place in the women's category! It's based on (your heaviest snatch + your heaviest clean and jerk) × a coefficient based on your body weight. I got a new pr in both lifts! I did a 45kg snatch and a 52kg c&j! Very happy 😊7 -
@bojaantje3822 Congrats on your competition! And thank you for your kind words. I wasn't expecting that much of a difference either! I've gone down about 2.5 dress sizes, but my figure is pretty hourglass, so I don't expect to go down more than another 2. I'm just glad my boobs aren't lost in my abdominal fat anymore. I also feel like more people need to include face pictures in the before and after. My face is where I see the biggest change.
@sargemarcori First night with the new duvet was a success! It had the weight I wanted on my body but I didn't wake up sweating!1 -

@Ineetolose50lbs It can take up to 5 days from exposure to test positive to COVID. We just wait to test unless we have symptoms. Take care.
@kenziestabes great progress pictures
@tahiitig enjoy your trip!
@CupcakeCrusoe thanks for the condolences.
@bojaantje3822 congrats on your prize

@CupcakeCrusoe
I will stay on the AIP for another 60 days. It's actually fun to try new things and the success I have rigth now (due to the number of lbs I have to lose) is keeping me going.
I will start to add certain foods back after 60 days, eggs and nuts first, then caffeine (if I still want/need it) lentils and dry beans, gluten-free cereals, oats and go from there. Oh my gosh, I have a plan 😍😍 I never had a plan when it came to eating healthy. Thank you for asking.
@KeriA Congratulation! I like your goals
@karilbrandt Sometimes we struggle and backpaddle, it's part of the journey.
@KeriA I am the boss now, my own hunger games :-) 32 lbs down weight in 331 lbs. I enjoy the AIP meals and trying the new recipes.
Wishing everybody a successful, and healthy new week.

Oh jeez, I turn my back for a minute a week and this thread has exploded! I'm caught up now, I think.
First, my update:
Age: 31
Height: 5'3"
SW: 252.8 (11/13/2020)
CW 7/1/22: 183.2
7/2: 182.6
7/9: 184.0
7/16: 183.8
7/23: 183.2
7/30:
GW for July: Out of the 180s
GW for 2022: In the 150s
It's shark week, and I did see 182 on the scale earlier in the week, but my period is a harsh mistress and she declared yesterday to be a maintenance day and sapped all my energy for steps so I'm a little shy of my goal for the week. I think I'm gonna be pretty OK on calories today, although I was fully guesstimating lunch (gyros, so plenty of salt to cause havoc over the next few days). We're still inching steadily downward, so I'll take it. Probably won't make it out of the 180s by the end of the month, but I think I'll be spitting distance of 179 at least.
I finally got around to actually filling out the passport renewal paperwork, and I'm going to go get photos taken at CVS tomorrow. Hubs and I are aiming to finally take a damn honeymoon trip this winter after being married fully two years LMAO. This Christmas is going to be the best opportunity we have to take a long trip anytime soon, after he finishes his program but before he starts working, since he probably won't be able to take two whole weeks off. I feel like I'm only going to be able to get that much PTO approved all at once for something once-in-a-lifetime like a honeymoon at my current job, so I want to really make it count, and I wouldn't want to travel internationally for less than two weeks no matter the reason. Current plan is Germany; nothing is set in stone yet, but we should probably book things sooner rather than later, before the prices go up. We'll also need to get some proper cold-weather gear, me especially!
And now, tag party:
@KeriA I'm sorry for your loss. I hope your trip to Hawaii is as pleasant as possible, given the circumstances. You're still making great progress this month and that's awesome.
@tahitig AMAZING job, I hope you and your mom have an absolute BLAST and yes, please share pics if you can!
@justanotherloser007 OMG, your before/after! I know you've shared before but I think last time it was just face pics. Incredible transformation!
@kenziestabes also an incredible transformation, I love that you recreated the poses down to the approximate time of day LMAO
@EmA_5512 I do most of my shopping at discount stores like TJ Maxx/Ross/Marshall's. There's also an outlet mall near me where I've picked up a few pieces for relatively cheap.
I also saw a few folks popped positive for the Rona, I hope you feel better soon!3 -
You. Guys.
Okay, so I was going to post about this yesterday and then didn't, but I went to a work potluck and DIDN'T overeat! First up, I knew it was coming-- so I skipped breakfast, ate some snap peas when I got hungry, and held onto my calorie budget. Then at the potluck I got maybe half a cup of a few things that looked good, walked RIGHT PAST the cookies and brownies and all (everything store-bought, I told myself, so I can buy that anytime I want it) and got a Coke Zero instead of sweet tea.
Then I went back for a second round--and got fruit salad (the kind with cream cheese or whatever?) and got some fresh fruit to pile on that, so I ate half as much of the cream cheese or sweetened yogurt or whatever.
all right, so that was awesome. I was over on calories for the day, but only because someone ALSO brought me my favorite Starbucks lotsa-calories treat. When they know it's your fave and they set it on your desk...whatcha going to do, but be thankful people care? I was still under maintenance, and SO proud of myself.
Then today. I needed to drop my car off to get a new stereo. I'd figured I was going to make a day of it, hanging out and exploring the area instead of coming home, so I'd be over on calories. Whatever, life happens.
At McDonald's for breakfast I ordered my fave, the sausage mcmuffin, and they had it on sale so it was basically cheaper to buy two than to buy one. That's how they ALWAYS get me, and I wasn't mentally prepared--I bought two. But when I got my order, I asked for a bag and stuck the second sandwich in it, and told myself I was not eating that. And sure enough, when I walked out there was a homeless woman who needed breakfast, and I happened to have it. That made both of us smile!
Tromping happened, I wandered into and out of a few stores (trying not to cook, it was over a hundred today!) and I got about 8,000 steps.
Then I ate lunch at an awesome pizza place that has great cheesecake, but I got a chicken parm hero and no cheesecake. So though I'd *planned* to go over and not care because I was having an adventure, I'm *under* on my calories!
So proud of myself. So happy all my efforts to change my *habits* and my *thinking* seem to be finally paying off--I'm not "on a diet." I'm working to live the life I want-- active and healthy, with room for treats.7 -
Not a good week. But, back at it today and checking in.
Age: 37
Height: 5'2
SW: 250
CW: 250 (7/10)
GW for July: 244
GW: 199 - I felt better under 200lbs, and that's what I want right now is to feel better
7/10 - 250lbs
7/17 - 248.4lbs (-1.6)
7/24 - 251.1 (+2.7 - not happy scale average)
Had a really off, weird week. Anxiety is creeping up as it gets closer to the start of the school year and I feel like I haven't accomplished enough. I'm emotionally struggling with the weight gain and my appearance and realizing how much I'm not doing anymore, because I don't like going out. My head has been kind of a mess.
Then, a massive storm moved through and I lost power for about 24 hours. It knocked out the internet, too, so I was offline for 3 more days until they got it fixed. I live in a very rural area, so if my wifi doesn't work, neither does my cell phone. So, I haven't tracked food or my weight for most of the week. Weight today is up, though I can't really be surprised. Lots of crap food and sodium.
The Good
Um, not much, really.
I was tempted after having a bad week and seeing my weight creep up over 250lbs to just delete this account and give up. I didn't and made this post instead. So, I guess that's good.
Needs Improvement
Food is not emotional support
Staying on track when other things go awry
Goals for the next week
Stay under 1700 at least 5/7 days
At least 5000 steps every day
Get to the pool or park at least once
I'm taking my sister and nephew to the pool today. Hoping some fresh air and sunshine will help my awful mood. Sorry to be such a downer. I was really close to just giving up this morning. It's embarrassing and frustrating to only make it a week before going off the rails. Not giving up, posting instead.

My cousin and her family arrived about 20min after I did last night so I haven't had the chance to step on the scale. I was exhausted from my weightlifting thing and traveling over 3,5 hours because my train got delayed so I fell asleep around 9.30pm and slept until 9.30am. I did feel refreshed this morning. We didn't have breakfast until 11.30 because my cousin's daughter is 14 so she slept in. Thanks to this my calories have been very reasonable.
This morning she saw me in my PJs and commented on my weight loss. I ended up telling her it was 15kg and she was like omgggg I was telling your mum last night it had to be 15+kg!! But she was nice about it and accepted that I said no diets, just a little less food and more exercise.
Today I wore my nicest shorts out so my confidence was skyhigh. We went shopping and I got some great winter stuff in sizesI didn't expect to fit. Very nice1 -

Yay! I am still losing. I would like to make into the 245 range before the end of the month but 246 is in the mid 240s. Most of the day yesterday was spent on dealing with my MIL passing away since my husband will likely be the executor. We plan a big walk around Greenlake (almost 5k). I haven't been walking lately due to the dinner yesterday and the situation. So hopefully I can make it all the way around. My youngest got a new bike. That way they can exercise when they don't go into the office where they have a gym. They don't consider walking enough relative to Drs orders of exercise 5 days a week but they like to walk with me anyway. I want to get a bike too so I can ride with them sometimes.
@goal06082021 so glad you will be having that honeymoon. Our wedding was in December so was our honeymoon.
@sagemarcori great job staying under maintenance for an work potluck and Starbucks favorite. I love your giving the 2nd breakfast sandwich away. Most of all glad you are feeling like you are making progress with habits and thinking.
@EmA_5512 I’m impressed at how you are being honest with yourself and 1 day or 1 week doesn’t make your life or even month or year. Learning from the experience is what is important and not giving up. I think the pool sounds like a great way to turn things around.
@boojantje3822 That is a lot of NSV for one post!3 -
Ok I'm finally here to admit I'm struggling with my health journey. I've read all the posts and tried to write a post all month and have been struggling.
It's so hard to get around socialization = food. I'm also struggling with the fact that my metabolism sucks. I can reduce my calories and move more and the scale barely moves. Even my husband finds it surprising how slow my loss has been with the effort I've been putting in. I think it may be time to see the doctor.
SW:253
Cw:220
He:150
NSV is I'm down many clothing sizes and I've really been liking how my body looks in the mirror. Which is actually making it harder to keep going. It would be easy to say "hey I like this size." Although I know I'm still in at an unhealthy weight which is still holding me back from keeping up with my family. Not as much but still would like to lose more.
Also, today I hit level 100 on my Ring Fit game! I worked damn hard for that level and it feels good. I like how fitter I have become on this journey.
Food wise, I have decided to take a little break from counting calories. I just need a mental break from that. I will keep weighing because I'm not letting myself completely off the hook. I still have to be careful with food I'm just reducing my mental load. We will see what happens.
This post is all over the place. I'm currently on this journey by focusing on being consistent because my motivation is non existent.

@sbortnick fat loss can be masked on the scale but if your measurements are down, especially when you're down clothing sizes!!, you have been successful. The scale isn't everything.
Maybe there's a whoosh coming, maybe you did a recomp, maybe eating at maintenance for a week or decreasing your exercise for a week will get rid of some water weight and let you see a new low on the scale. Your break from counting might just be what you need to see the scale move, but know that you did succeed.2 -
I just realised that I could breach the triple digits treshold by this time next year. My mum suggested we go on vacation to Montenegro next year together and I agreed but today it hit me that if I lose a little under 0,5kg a week, I could totally lose 23-26kg in the next year. This is super daunting to think about. I'm at 123kg now and hit 100kg back in late 2015.2

Hey all, I'm still sick and miserable though on the mend. I'm in isolation until Wednesday but unless I'm symptom free by then (highly doubt it) I won't be back in the office, I still can't get through the day without a nap and the idea of actually making it to the office, much less being there all day, it's just overwhelming.
I have lost weight this week, but of course it's due to no appetite and being ill. I fully expect to see a bounce back on the scale once I start eating properly again though I have been sure to get a decent amount of calories a day, I know it's important for recovery. It's just that unlike any other time I've been sick we haven't lived on take out.

Good morning everyone!
186.6 this morning, so weird. I certainly haven't been eating enough to justify a 2 lb gain, so I'm just going to keep on keeping on.
I banged my head really good on a doorframe this morning, so keeping tabs on myself for concussion reasons. I did not want to get going this morning after that, lol.
Tonight is Hot Seat and Sittin' Sexy, which I'm very excited for. AND I don't have to cook, because Whatsisface and the kids are hanging out with my brother this evening, and he's providing dinner.
That reminds me, I made the BEST chickpea salad yesterday, it was this one. We had it with salmon, but it would be just as good on its own. I needed (still need) to use up some red cabbage Whatsisface grew, and that one's going in the rotation. I doubled the recipe so I could bring some to work with me all week, with the chicken I prepped.
tag party time!
@bojaantje3822 new prs, congratulations!
And your hard work is being noticed, and I'm sure you rocked the shorts! Just good times all around!
@kenziestabes ooh, I'm interested in this duvet idea as well, time for me to look around, I think.
@KeriA you have new lows everywhere! Well done!
@karilbrandt I can't believe I missed you the other day, it took me forever to write that post, for some reason, haha. You've got this
@The_Fat_Optimist I'm glad you've got a plan.
@goal06082021 honeymoon planning, how exciting!
@sargemarcori this is what it's all about right here. we love to see it.
@EmA_5512 but you're still here! You didn't give up! That counts for a lot. There are 52 weeks in a year, one off week is not going to affect the other 51 if you don't let it. I hope you had fun at the pool.
@sbortnick I know how frustrating it can be to not see progress when you're working so hard. But going down sizes IS progress, and the only other thing I might say is, be sure your logging is tight- weigh and measure everything, log everything, so you know where you're at and what you expect to see. That will be handy information, especially if you think there might be something else going on.
Have a great day, everyone!3 -
My name is Sarah-Joy, I'm 31 and now weigh over 200lbs! Not sure how positive I am feeling today - but I really want to get on track. I am now at my heaviest weight again. And feeling it too. I can't stay like this as my mental health really suffers. It's time to find a way back towards positivity. Any support or help would be amazing. Thanks all
SW - 201lbs
CW - 200lbs
GW - 140lbs
July is almost over, but just getting under that 200 would be amazing for my end of month weigh in.
Otherwise for August I would like to;
❤️ - Lose 10lbs
🧡 - Maintain a minimum of 10k steps every week day (we can work on weekends next month😆)
💛 - Be kind to myself if I slip up
💚 - Catch my reflection and say something nice to myself, and try not to see that gross thing I see
💙 - Do some kind of extra exercise a few times in the month (in addition to my walking/jogging)
💜 - Spend a bit more time with my nieces/nephews/friends, as they bring me joy
That's all from me, would be great to have a few friends to see my posts and help to keep me on track (and vice versa of course)
Thanks for reading! 🥸3 -
Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the group and excited to travel this road with all of you. I started dieting in February.
SW: 250
CW: 215.6
GW: 150 (100 pounds)
I may try for 130 once I lose 100. Hard to wrap my mind around right now.
My goals are to intermittent fast 16/8 for 6/7 days a week and to stay under 1450 calories. My husband likes to go to breakfast on Saturday which makes 7/7 hard.
I need to work on exercise in general. I walk a half hour a day.
My biggest challenge is not to eat after 6 pm. I distract myself by playing with my dogs.5 -
Hey all!!! I had a second weekend in a row I didn't weigh in and I know I didn't eat perfectly over the weekend but, honestly, I think after the crazy of this month I'm not going to stress about it. I can mostly keep on track this week and start fresh with August.
I still managed to go to both Saturday & Sunday Zumba classes this weekend and that was great. However, I also managed to twinge my knee and so walking, Zumba and most of my favorite types of exercise are out for a couple days.
July has been so crazy with VBS, my daughter's activity schedule, stressing over the doctor stuff and other random things popping up. I think this entire month ends up just evening out and being a wash. That's ok. It's a journey and not a mad dash to the finish.
Honestly, Aug might be just as crazy as my 14 year wedding anniversary is on Aug 1, we have a mini vacation planned with friends to Dollywood plus school starts right after we get back home. Since I know we are eating at a deli that we love for our anniversary and I know I won't be able to pick all the foods when we are vacationing with friends and sharing the kitchen I'm going to just not track as hard those days. Once my knee is back in shape I'll be back on my exercise routine. I just need to remeber that on the days in between to keep on track.
Also, the next ladies movie night is this Friday. I never track on movie night because it's all about sitting with my friends, watching a film, eating too much junk and talking without husbands or kids sitting with us for a few hours. I'm so glad we started this monthly movie night though because just sitting with my girlfriends makes me so happy.3 -

Finally feeling like I'm on the mend and attending OTF later today! I'm planning to ease back in since I'm still not close to feeling 100%, but I'm definitely improved.4 -
Not a good week. But, back at it today and checking in.
...
The Good
Um, not much, really.
I was tempted after having a bad week and seeing my weight creep up over 250lbs to just delete this account and give up. I didn't and made this post instead. So, I guess that's good.
...
Yup, not giving up is good! You got this. it will be a struggle, but you knew that. you're strong, and though you don't feel like it sometimes I bet, you're going to do this for you. Because you do, in fact, deserve to feel better.
If it helps at all, after my great days Friday and Saturday, I ate way too much yesterday and spent the day lying in bed watching TV. Sometimes I wondered why, at 52yo, I still haven't figured out how to handle myself better. But whatever. Today I'm getting back in that saddle, because i'm not giving up either.
I do hope you enjoy the pool and feel better.3
