Welcome to the challenge. To bookmark just zip back up to the top again and you'll see a flag on the right hand side. Click on that. When it's blue it means you're flagged and you can follow new comments under your notifications when they are made.

If you are using the web page, there's a little "bell" symbol near the top of the page. Since you've posted to this thread, new posts will show up there.
Like @3rdtimelosesit said; there's a little "bookmark" symbol below the title, so you can bookmark it. However, you'll still have to find the August challenge once it's posted. The bookmark will only come HERE, but @enlightenme3 will post a link to the new challenge as the month comes to an end and she posts the new one.
May you enjoy your journey and find success!

Way to rock on everyone!!

I ended up lowering my calorie goals to lose a half pound per week from maintenance because I kept cycling at the higher end of maintenance range every week. I'll adjust back if I end up going down too much (ha! I've never, ever lost more than intended and in the past have struggled to maintain for more than a week).5 -

Well this isn't a good pattern. I lose a little then gain it back and maybe a bit more. Looks like I've packed on almost a pound in July. I can claim I'm still in transition to retirement and trying to figure all that out, but it might just be an excuse to slip. I'm the only one who can fix this. Maybe I will.5 -

A reasonably decent week. My weight is up a bit comparative to where it should be, but I got strength training in 3x this week, so I'm not surprised that it is where it is. So long as I stay the course and my body doesn't decide to start hoarding water, I should make goal next week!

But could be far worse. Right now Iβm enjoying not having a double chin anymore, so Iβm really keen not to regain it. Iβm a healthy weight now, and not regaining is more important than losing for me for now.
Except it would be nice to have a bit of a buffer before going away a couple of times over the summer, so I donβt get that double chin back again!6 -

My name is Donna. I am 62 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5β 5β tall.
Start Weight (from end of June 2022): 202.8
Goal Weight: xxxxx (5 pound loss) 197.8
End of Challenge Weight: xxxxx
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (Iβll know it when I get there!)
07/01β¦..β¦..202.8 (Trend Weight: 203.0)
07/05β¦..β¦..205.0 (Trend Weight: 203.6)
07/12β¦..β¦..196.6 (Trend Weight: 201.3)β¦.. Soβ¦I tested positive for Covid after I became sick last Thursday. Triple vaccinated so the symptoms are dizzy, weakness, occasional fever, tons of coughing producing phlegm, fatigue. Could be worse but the coughing does make the throat pretty sore. It has not affected my appetite, my hunger level or my cravings. I have been watching every bite I eat and it is so much easier with no outside influences. No holiday. No social gatherings. No grocery store or dollar store trips. No lunches or dinners out with friends. No traveling. No daughter bringing home goodies. So the weight is coming off, even without much exercise. Ultimately, we all know that what we fork into our pieholes is up to us and no one else is to blame. Clearly, social times are my weakness and I need to learn to buckle up buttercup and not fold into so many temptations. When I log faithfully, I am reminded that portion control is a huge part of this equation. It needs to be front and center when I am faced with social situations that involve food.
07/19β¦..200.6(Trend Weight: 200.3)β¦.. My weight dropped drastically and quickly after the Covid diagnosis even though my appetite was not affected and I was eating my usual 1400 calories per plan. I just wasnβt getting in the exercise or movement due to severe Covid fatigue, and yet my body dropped weight, presumably fighting the virus. Since I have gotten better, my weight has steadily climbed even though Iβve remained within the 1400 calories and added in exercise and movement again. So disheartening, but Iβve got to trust the process. Iβm cutting the calories and sticking to plan. I am staying within my carb goal. My macros look great and my glucose numbers are coming down a bit most days. The scale will have to catch back up at some point!
07/26β¦..202.8(Trend Weight: 200.4)β¦.. A huge jump up yesterday of over 3 Β½ lbs. down a smidgen today. Why doesnβt it come off as fast as it goes on? Life isnβt always fair! Medical appointment today for heart scan that involves some travel and results on another travel day Thursday to the cardiologist. Being away from home with all the car sitting wonβt help the weight but hopefully Iβll get some answers.
07/31β¦..β¦..(Trend Weight: xxxxx)β¦..
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

Woohoo!! Met and exceeded my July challenge goal of losing 9lbs.!! Having such a huge wooosh at the start is what got me there. But each week I dropped and I'm thrilled. I don't think my weight will drop so well come August. I feel I'm settling into a weekly amount so it's all good. My expectations won't be so high. Seeing as the last weigh-in is in 2 days I doubt there'll be a drop so I'm going with final July drop was 9.8lbs....woohoo!!
