Hit the gym at the weekend for the first time in about 3 yrs! Also notice some of my clothes are getting too big although I cant see the difference myself yet.10

People at the gym told me how much I'd progressed this past year 🥺🥺 it was so nice to hear10

Two lecturers from different departments emailed me this morning to ask if I'd be interested to be their teaching assistant this year. This has nothing to do with health&fitness - in fact the opposite - the more I work the more likely I am to derail, but also yay me! I can make some extra cash for all those new clothes I'll need next summer.14

I cleaned out my closet a couple month back (not yet at goal but had a ton of clothes that were way too big) and put them in large trash bags to donate. I had 2 bags stuffed full & a 3rd half full which I left on the floor of the closet for a week or so. I moved the full bags to the trunk of my car so I could donate them when I was near a donation location. My NSV? After over 2 months I dropped them off yesterday, not really sure why it took so long but it's great to be free of them. The 3rd bag? Once it is full (I have more closet clearing to do) it will be going too. Hopefully I let go of that one a little quicker, lol14

This is AMAZING!!! Great job!!!!3 -
Today one of my coworkers randomly blurted out, “I wish I had your waistline. Just look at that tiny little waist!”
I was walking on air after that. The hard work is paying off! I need to remember this on days when I feel bloated and puffy.14 -
Did 55 minutes standing while paddle boarding yesterday. did the last 15 kneeling.
Excellent! Tried paddle boarding for the first time this past weekend. Very comfortable on my knees. Stood up OK, but balance shaky. Would love to do more, but So AZ not a paddle boarding Mecca. 🤣

Due to a leg injury, I haven't gone running in well over a month. Decided to run a mile and a half yesterday morning. 15 minutes flat. I ultimately want to shave a minute or so off that, but that's a lot better than I was expecting!19

I've lost 1.5 inches off my waist / stomach in the last month. I also found out that I can suck that part of me in by c2 inches, my Mum and I had a giggle about it 😁10

I had a neighbor compliment my weight loss. We had talked about it a year or so ago, and she came out of her house while I was walking my dog to mention how good I’m doing.
And my other NSV is my arms look better! I still have miles to go in that area, but they were looking very bad after losing a certain amount of weight. I think my skin is beginning to bounce back so it is improving.14 -
I’ve had a couple of weeks of blowouts, last week being the worst I’ve had for years- I “gained” 3.1Kg in a week! Every time I get close to a new milestone I self sabotage and put myself back a few paces. The milestone coming up is a big one- 65Kg which puts me into a healthy bmi range (I know bmi is controversial, but at 34 and already starting to have joint problems from carrying around so much extra weight all of my life there is a reason that I am aiming for the healthy bmi range). It’s almost like my sub conscious mind is scared to hit these milestones. It has happened a few times during my journey, first when I was closing in on my 20Kg loss (I got to 17Kg down then blew out), so I know it is related to milestones and the importance I must set on them (I say must because it’s not as if I deliberately set importance on them, just casually think as they’re coming up “ooh soon I’ll be at x/y/z” and then I go into binge mode soon after. The nsv is I recognise this pattern and am vowing to work through it. I feel like I’m back on track, just last night I noticed I was in binge mode and put a stop to it before I blew my calories out (I even still managed a good deficit!)
Also I am currently weighing in everyday, not in obsessive way, just jumping on, recording my weight and then going about my day. I have lost most of the weight I “gained” I know a huge loss like that is not sustainable week after week, but I am definitely taking it after the huge gain (and I know that the reason I’ve lost so much for the week is because I gained so much last week)22 -

@IAmTheGlue Thank you for this. I have lost 36 pounds, many more to go but the fat on my inner upper arms is doing some strange stuff and it’s not so attractive. It’s a small worry in the grand scheme of things but good to hear it might change for the better!

Mine was looking super weird, too! The past couple days though it has smoothed out some so I think it will keep improving! I bet it will for you, too! 👍

You can do it. Just watch a few PB vids and apply the lessons.
I'm 55 with a bad hip and many other issues, so believe me when I say, "if I can do it, anyone can."
It's a lot of fun and a decent workout.3 -
_ my second chin is 1/2 gone! when I reach a hand up to itch my face, it stops where my proprioception/muscle memory remembers my (2nd) chin being! - when I was a kid, one of my nicknames my mom gave me was "full moon" because of my very round pale face, so this is a big deal!
- also! the compression leggings I'd bought a month ago: my belly doesn't look so bad anymore! i still have some belly, but the upper belly "keg" and lower abdominal fat aren't so prominent anymore!
- ladies: you know that "crotch V" we get when we're heavier and tight pants/leggings? It's no longer an issue when I wear my workout leggings! like, I used to feel the need to hide in baggy long t-shirts, but now i want to wear shirts that fit and don't hide me!
- has anyone else noticed their fingers "no longer feel swollen/bloated"?
23.9lbs gone, 41.1lb to go! I can do it!13 -

Oh I hear you! I have this same pattern, and have yet to figure out how to get past it. But I'm not giving up!5 -

You both got this!
Never give up, never surrender!7 -
On Thursday my family and I went up to Williamsburg and Paddle boarded on the James for two hours. I did about 60 minutes standing. The last 30 I switched with my son and took the kayak with my niece. That may have been harder than the 90ish minutes paddle boarding.7

As I was undressing for bed last night, I noticed I seem to be getting defined abs.
Only with all the extra skin, it’s like if the Pillsbury Dough Boy had abs.
You know, like punched down dough.
I’ll take what I can get. 🤷🏻♀️26 -
My “VO2 Max” from my apple health is Above Average!! Guys… I have been paying attention to this and it has been Below Average as long as it has been tracked so I’m stoked! Finally! 😀😀😀15

When packing for a vacation a few weeks ago I became frustrated because few of my vacation clothes were fitting, they were all too big, this was a good frustration!...even the ones in the bottom of my drawer that have been too small for years but I couldn't give up. Usually I'm depressed my clothes are too small when packing for vacation. I knew I'd lost over 60 pounds the past year but I didn't realize until recently when I saw a photo of myself how much that really was.
I've been buying inexpensive jeans on Amazon through my weight loss journey since I wear them to work everyday. I recently went online to buy 1 size smaller, size 7, but the size 5 was way cheaper at $15. I thought why not, I'll try them, well they fit and I wore them this weekend. Last year my size 12s were tight. Big victories for me and so exciting!!!29 -
Deadlift rep PR!!! Deadlifted 365 lbs for TWO!14

I just realized that I can fit into some clothes that are sized medium. What? I can't wrap my mind around that. (Internally, I still scream "vanity sizing!".)

I am currently wearing an outfit that I last wore when I was 24 - I'm now 42!
I'm actually in better physical shape now than I was back then.24 -
My torso is not so tiny anymore… because my hips and thighs are shrinking! 😀 I was very much a pear shape, but the pear is slimming down into more of an hourglass shape.17
