I did not expect to lose this much weight so fast. It's only been 3 weeks since I joined but I think it's due to cutting gluten out of my diet? I've been sick for the last 2 years and on Sept 8th after my weigh-in, I also decided to experiment and cut it out for a month and see what happens. Since then, no significant bloating, burning intestines, and clear-headed among other positive changes. I'm in the process of getting bloodwork done to test for gluten intolerance/celiac.. but 5 lbs a week seems a bit too fast?
It could be the gluten that is the cause of all your issues. I've never tested for an intolerance but when I cut it out I feel good. Then when I add it back it I get the body aches. So now I try to eat as little as possible. I'd say if it eliminates the bloating, burning and you feel more clear headed....cut it out. JMO.
I had a big 5 lb. drop last week but some it came back this week. You might find the same for you next week. It seems to even itself out.

I'm being slightly aggressive in my September goal weight because I want to be at the low-end of my maintenance range before going on vacation in October. Not because I'm trying to fit in to anything, but I want to have a good solid buffer for all that travel time (less workout) and eating out (difficult to track).

I'm in the process of getting bloodwork done to test for gluten intolerance/celiac..
You have to be eating gluten for the bloodwork to show anything.
I have a wheat allergy (not celiac) and I do think it helps when I am not eating it.1 -
Hello all. Here we go again as they say. So far 2022 has been pretty much a struggle with the wt loss. However, the fight continues. Theres always that point where it finally takes off and I feel that time has come. Best wishes to everyone now let's get to it.

Total loss for September Down a bit more than a half pound for the week, but up a full pound for the month. In other good news, I'm just a wee bit down for the quarter (since July 1). Bad news is that since mid-May, I'm up almost eight pounds. Oh my.

09/01-198.8-(Trend Weight: 199.8)-
09/06-196.8-(Trend Weight: 198.9)- I just noticed that from (basically) the start of last fall 2021 to the end of the Michigan winter in 2022, I gained 12 pounds! I CANNOT let that happen again! In fact, I am STILL NOT BACK DOWN to where I was on Sept 19 which was 187.6 . 10 more pounds to lose just to break even. How sad. On a good note, I am starting to feel my hip bones poking out. They are still in there afterall.
09/13-195.8-(Trend Weight: 198.8)- I managed to pull off an overall loss this week with a big overnight drop. I had plenty of travel this past week and that made the week extremely challenging. Iβm really trying and some days are just much easier than others. I can stay away from the restaurants most of the time when Iβm at home. But when Iβm on the roadβ¦β¦β¦.
09/20-199.0-(Trend Weight: 198.6)- Bloated with water around the ankles this morning which brought in a higher weight. Today is water pill day (for the heart) so it should help the scale be more accurate tomorrow. Itβs so hard to gauge when there are heart problems involved. Frustrating, but itβs not stopping me!
09/27-198.4-(Trend Weight: 198.8)- Itβs been an up and down week, but I ended our challenge week with about Β½ pound loss. Iβll take it! But I must say, the progress needs to be much deeper. This teetering back and forth is getting me nowhere. I need to see something under 195.0 to feel like Iβm back on the road again and getting somewhere.
