I am sorry to hear about the result on the right, but caught early they will remove it. My sister went through that a few years ago and she is fine. I hope that it is soon when they do it. Sending you hugs.

I am Dawn.
I live in SE BC, Canada.
I joined this group in November 2018, and had my very first AF day in many many years then.
My usual goal is 16-20 AF days per month, and have maintained that for a few years until September of this year when I had only 14AF days (couldn't resist the daily Margaritas in Mexico I guess).
I do this diary style.
Monday October 24 - 2 drinks. The only thing that I did that I had never done before was not a positive thing. A customer ordered a Stella, I went into the cooler to get one and the box was in there but empty. We had other boxes of it not chilled. Whoever took the last cold one out completely knew that they were doing that, and weren't thinking of the next person. I actually flung the box out on the floor while shouting. Completely out of character for me, and very unproud of that.
Tuesday October 25 - AF - I refused an extra shift for the day, too tired. How nice it was to be home to have dinner at a reasonable time.
Wednesday October 26 - AF - Happy to hit my 16. I am going to try to get another 1 or 2 before month end.
Thursday October 27 - 2 drinks. I had no intention of drinks, but it was the old cold, hungry, tired thing. Raining and cold here, not cold enough to have snow just yet, this is not my favourite time of year, trails are too muddy, no skating yet. Contrary to most people, those 2 drinks had me sleep like a baby, and I feel great this morning. Planning AF for Sunday and Monday to hopefully end the month with 18AF days.
Friday October 28 - Drinks starting with Peppermint schnapps in hot chocolate after a very long day. I am working a rare Saturday, but hopefully it will just be a few hours early, I have lots of cooking to do with my harvest.
Rolling total: 16AF days out of 28 days.2 -
October accountability: 12 days AF
Alcohol: 17 days (43.5 drinks)
Goal: Limit 1-2 glasses per day; 12-16 AF days per month. Aim to drink no more than 2 nights in a row.
10/29 - 3 drinks ; 1 Gin & Tonic after day long boat ride with friends and then wine at my sisters with dinner.4 -

11 A days - a few over my drinking goal limit
Today my first group of visitors show up to our new home state. UGH.... I do not want to keep on this party type roll. They gave us an expensive bottle of bubbly before we moved and said we'll crack it open when we get to your new place. I am going to be pouring mine into a potted plant when they aren't looking.
NOVEMBER will be better now that we are settled in the house. Phew!7 -

@MissMay ...I've seen discrete little signs on the front doors of some homes...."No Smoking Here, Please"...Why not a "No Alcohol" sign ?? Those bearing pricey wine or cordials then have an opportunity to scuttle back to their cars and deposit the gifts back into the trunk before even knocking. No embarrassment, no killing the philodendron with champagne.
Yeah, DH probably would not leave that little sign up.

10/1 - 2 wine; Girls Trip with mom & my sister to one of mom’s friend’s 90th birthday
10/2 - AF @ home
10/3 - 2 wine; last of the Joseph Drouhin Rully Wine
10/4 - AF
10/5 - 2 wine; steak night
10/6 - AF; DH opened a bottle of wine and I had non-alcoholic Grapefruit Clausthaler which doesn’t go very well with Italian.
10/7 - 2 happy hour small margaritas on rocks no salt; dinner with friends
10/8 - AF ; Offered drinks at both lunch and in the evening. LSU game & son’s birthday party they had a mini keg from a local brewery and my sister brought a pitcher of orange cosmos which is a favorite of mine starting around 11am. I tried Betty Buzz Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Lemon Lime and liked it very much in a special glass. In the evening SIL gave us a bottle of wine to go with pizza while we babysat. DH stopped at 2 glasses and I decided to stick with water.
10/9 - 3 wine ; dinner at my sister’s
10/10 - 2 wine
10/11 - AF; Home alone
10/12 - 3 drinks ; 2 wine + bourbon & Diet Coke
10/13 - 2.5 wine
10/14 - 7 drinks ; Think Pink (breast cancer) fundraiser luncheon. After all the free flowing Prosecco during the 3 hr event I didn’t get anything done in the afternoon. I’m calling it 5 glasses of Prosecco PLUS 2 glasses of wine in the evening since I brought home a nice bottle of wine from the wine pull at the event.
10/15 - AF; Church Bazaar they had non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiri which DIL & I both enjoyed after yesterday’s over indulgence. We skipped the beer, wine and margaritas.
10/16 - 1 wine with steak; DH too only had 1 glass
10/17 - AF @ book club
10/18 - 3 drinks ; DH & I had no plans to drink and no wine in the house! Bbut then my sister dropped by with 2 bottles of wine and wanted to join us for dinner. Best intentions derailed.
10/19 - 1 small HH margarita @ book club
10/20 - AF @ camp with my mom; ; Clausthaler Grapefruit non-alcoholic beer while mom had a "real" beer.
10/21 - 3 wine ; mom & I opened a bottle of wine with dinner & movie
10/22 - AF @ camp with my mom; mom had a beer and I had a non-alcoholic ginger beer
10/23 - AF @ family dinner at my daughter’s. I skipped the red & white wines being served with dinner.
10/24 - AF; DH too
10/25 - 2 wine; steak night
10/26 - 2 wine
10/27 - 3 drinks ; My birthday dinner 2 glasses of wine with B& B for dessert
10/28 - AF; DH too
10/29 - 3 drinks ; 1 Gin & Tonic after day long boat ride with friends and then wine at my sister’s with dinner.

I'm looking for how others balance out alcohol. I am a daily drinker, when I get home I enjoy a few beers and every time we go out to eat we have margaritas. I've been trying to quit but find it kind of difficult because its like a treat for me. I cant tell you honestly the last AF day I had besides when I didn't feel good.0
