I can't tell you how much that initial statement you wrote is true... I was on my way to an amazing goal with the help and support of a very dedicated coach. After 4 years of working so closely together, one day, that coach decided it was time to end our relationship and walked away from me(no reason was given, they went on a short leave and I received an email from them to say, we're done). I have tried to work with others, but I was never able to find a connection I had with this coach.
It has been well over a year since we parted and I put all the weight we lost in 4 years back on and a bit more. Over 100 pounds. I always told myself, have that cookie (for me, my poison is chocolate/pizza), you can start tomorrow... But trust me, their was always an excuse to start tomorrow, to have that 1 extra sweet or piece of pizza.
I love your saying, just for today... It will stick with me. Just like I had a friend onetime tell me, you control the food, don't let the food control you. That stuck with me.
