Yes, he got much more done than a bunch of clowns put together! He still has to grout the tile (I had the wrong kind and so I'll have to go out of town to get it.). He still has to move a heater vent through the floor and paint the ceiling and a final paint coat on the cabinets, but it's pulled together enough for my Saturday dinner. I have dishes and cookware in the same room as the kitchen!
I am putting my red decor in for now. I have not brought everything back in because it's almost time to decorate for Christmas. Just things I need. Slowly after the first of the year I will be transitioning to blue instead of the red. I love the red but have decided it's time for a change. It's expensive to change EVERYTHING!!! Even my microwave is red. Over time I will get it all. I have asked my kids for canisters and dishes for Christmas. That will help. I already hit up a sale on HSN for my Curtis Stone Cookware sets on a great sale. I won't use any other brand. Over time I will get storage bowls, broom & dust pan, garbage can, cooking utensils, flowers & decor, window treatments, glasses and cups, etc. I do already have the area rug stored so the most expensive things are actually already bought. When I get time I will dig up some original pics and then show some new ones (even though it's still not done.) The bay window I had put in is wood on the inside. I will likely paint it and the french grids white when I get time (after the first of the year) because it looks drab now compared to the rest of the area. I can probably do that myself to save $$$ unless my handyman will give me a good price. I have a temporary kitchen table and chairs I bring in every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners because it has a leaf and more chairs in the basement. It looks drab too in the new space but at least it matches the drab window for now lol. I am having an electrical issue in regards to my pendant lights, I may have to call an electrician. But overall, it's ready to live in again! Yay!
Yes, my final weight will not end after the traditional feast, but my son & I may go out of town for a special buffet on Thanksgiving day to celebrate together so it will still be a food fest and a yucky weigh in. I'm going to talk to my son about it today. He may decline because he has been dropping some weight. I cut his food portions exactly in half and put him on the exercise bike 15 min per day and it's really helping him. Wouldn't it be nice if I could take my own advice? LOL. As someone, though, would weighed in at 306 he was seriously eating huge portions. He could eat a whole pizza at a time. Those days are over!

The Good Lord knows I’ve been working hard trying to pull this kitchen back together before Thanksgiving. So many boxes to unpack! So many stored dishes and cookware to rewash! Etc. etc. Lots of movement and calorie burn. No problem getting steps in. Our holiday dinner will be on Saturday. Plenty of work until then! This is going to be a tough foody week for so many. Let’s just do the best we can and remain Thankful for all our blessings. I’m pleased to see the progress of so many of you in so many ways. Even with the American Thanksgiving Holiday ahead of us, I hope we can end this month with progress and pride! It is horrid that the final weigh in will be the day after Thanksgiving! Ouch!
Day 98-11/23-196.6-(Trend weight 198.5) Yay!!! I attribute this first and foremost to releasing the water after my medication. This would be my true weight! In addition, my diet has been about the same the last couple of days but my activity has increased at least 100%. Getting the new kitchen ready for Thanksgiving dinner Saturday has been a lot of work and calorie burn. I’m not quite done yet! I finally heard from cardiac rehab. I start on Dec 9th. 2x per week for 12 weeks which involves a lot of travel. That is never good but I will form new habits surrounding this so it minimizes the damage. And medically supervised rehab will safely help create a bigger calorie burn. I’m excited for all the advantages it holds for me. I’m tired of not being allowed to do anything including taking walks!

I enjoy being on this journey with y'all. Weight loss requires a lot of work! We are worth it though.
I aim to have an average of 500 calories in the Green each day, so I track my excess. I get in a good deal of activity and dance workouts. Like, if you had to pick a body type that you wanted to have, you do that sort of activity I think. Dance for me unlocks my creaky joints, lifts my spirits, stretches me out, works all of the muscles and is super fun. I do the 3-4 minute song variety, it keeps me up with what the "kids" are listening to : - )

Day 97: Tues, 11/22: 142.4 - I didn't finish eating my dinner until almost midnight!!

Day 98: Wed, 11/23: 142.0 - 2 more evening shifts to do this week, my normal ones. Monday and Tuesday were extras taken for other people. I am tired, I could barely get out of bed this morning. My house is a disaster right now, these extra shifts will come in handy for the heating bill etc. though. Sunny and blue here today, as it is most days. Unfortunately it will be above freezing this afternoon like it was yesterday, not great for lake ice which I am eager to get skating on.

Day 98-11/23-196.6-(Trend weight 198.5) Yay!!! I attribute this first and foremost to releasing the water after my medication. This would be my true weight! In addition, my diet has been about the same the last couple of days but my activity has increased at least 100%. Getting the new kitchen ready for Thanksgiving dinner Saturday has been a lot of work and calorie burn. I’m not quite done yet! I finally heard from cardiac rehab. I start on Dec 9th. 2x per week for 12 weeks which involves a lot of travel. That is never good but I will form new habits surrounding this so it minimizes the damage. And medically supervised rehab will safely help create a bigger calorie burn. I’m excited for all the advantages it holds for me. I’m tired of not being allowed to do anything including taking walks!

Since I am watching my girly figure I opted not to go out of town for an extra Thanksgiving dinner (family dinner is Saturday). Once is enough calories and pie, right? Luckily my son agreed. He is on a mission to drop a few pounds since he stood up in his friend’s wedding. His resolve is much better than mine I have found. Wow! Enjoy your day, ya’ll. I was thinking that Thanksgiving sounds like a healthy meal, turkey and stuff, but I know for myself the stuffing and gravy is my fave, so loaded with calories. Obviously for others it is sweets, a slice of pie equalling calories to an extra helping of dinner? Not sure.
What is the biggest city/town near you Donna? I was on the Google map when my BIL was talking about going to Michigan and I thought of you and wondered where you were. Where do you have to go for your heart therapy?3 -

Day 99: Thurs, 11/24: 141.2 - No chance that I will be getting back to my start weight of this 100, but hoping to mitigate as much as possible. Heck, I didn't even gain weight in Mexico, so I am not loving this. Burning soooo many calories this week, with little time for food except for at the end of the night. I was almost too tired to eat last night, but my calories for the day (pomegranate, banana, clementines etc. eaten at work here and there) were only at 500, so I really had to eat my prepped dinner.

Starting today...and it is about time! Traveling as a result, food out of hand...I'm back on track. Looking forward to going into the New Year in the 180s. Logging daily food, daily movement....thoughts, words, and actions in place. No time like the present, why wait for the New Year to begin this journey. I am grateful for the accountability and this adventure! 🤗

I enjoy being on this journey with y'all. Weight loss requires a lot of work! We are worth it though.
I aim to have an average of 500 calories in the Green each day, so I track my excess. I get in a good deal of activity and dance workouts. Like, if you had to pick a body type that you wanted to have, you do that sort of activity I think. Dance for me unlocks my creaky joints, lifts my spirits, stretches me out, works all of the muscles and is super fun. I do the 3-4 minute song variety, it keeps me up with what the "kids" are listening to : - )

Day 96: Mon, 11/21: 144.2 - Ouch. I was "good". About to work 4 split shifts in a row, late nights are not good for my eating habits. It's okay, I need the $$
Day 97: Tues, 11/22: 142.4 - I didn't finish eating my dinner until almost midnight!!
My frustration is real, this is what MFP had to say about my typical day yesterday:

Day 98: Wed, 11/23: 142.0 - 2 more evening shifts to do this week, my normal ones. Monday and Tuesday were extras taken for other people. I am tired, I could barely get out of bed this morning. My house is a disaster right now, these extra shifts will come in handy for the heating bill etc. though. Sunny and blue here today, as it is most days. Unfortunately it will be above freezing this afternoon like it was yesterday, not great for lake ice which I am eager to get skating on.
Day 99: Thurs, 11/24: 141.2 - No chance that I will be getting back to my start weight of this 100, but hoping to mitigate as much as possible. Heck, I didn't even gain weight in Mexico, so I am not loving this. Burning soooo many calories this week, with little time for food except for at the end of the night. I was almost too tired to eat last night, but my calories for the day (pomegranate, banana, clementines etc. eaten at work here and there) were only at 500, so I really had to eat my prepped dinner.
Day 100: Fri, 11/25: 142.2
15th Week Goal Weight: 139.7 (So that I only gained 2 pounds this 100)
15th Week Actual Weight: Started the last week at 143.0 - 142.2
Excess calories burned (in the green): Exceptional 5 days calorie burn wise (many of them coming from working double shifts running around the restaurant with my pedometre on), averaging almost 1,000 in the green, but I still have today's to tally into that.
Final tally for this 100: EW 142.2 - Gain of 4.5 pounds. I don't get it. I hate the idea of having to eat only 1,000 calories per day, but as I look back through this round it seems that I can't seem to lose weight otherwise. When I was at 130.6 at this time last year I was averaging 1300-1400 calories per day. I averaged the same this round, but gained almost 5 pounds and am up almost 12 pounds for the year. Kind of disheartened, and most of my clothes no longer fit including my winter coat.
Start weight this 100: 137.7 (136.0 start weight the previous 100)
Goal weight this 100: 127.7 - Very unrealistic, especially since I will be in Mexico for a good chunk of September and I am going to eat all of the yummy foods and drink a few Margaritas/Cervezas for sure. Day 99-11/24-198.0-(Trend weight 198.5) This is my bloat day so weight increase expected. Today will be a quiet dinner at home. Since I am watching my girly figure I opted not to go out of town for an extra Thanksgiving dinner (family dinner is Saturday). Once is enough calories and pie, right? Luckily my son agreed. He is on a mission to drop a few pounds since he stood up in his friend’s wedding. His resolve is much better than mine I have found. Wow! Enjoy your day, ya’ll. I wish I could pop in and see each and every one of you!
Day 100-11/25…..(Final Weigh- In)-196.2-(trend weight 198.2) I am so happy with the scale today!!! Of course, I have not had Thanksgiving dinner yet (tomorrow) but my non-bloat weight just keeps getting a little better! No TMI yet either, but I did get a great amount of sleep last night (for me). No deep sleep according to fitbit but a good amount of REM and light sleep with less awakes. I am still very solidly in the obese category of my BMI at 32.2. I can’t wait to hit the overweight category. That will take awhile but it’s something to strive for. I got in very little calorie burn yesterday but I did get on the exercise bike for about 20 minutes. I’m still working on cleaning up house, drywall dust, unpacking boxes etc. but got in less calorie burn than I thought. I stopped early last night, though, for a movie night with my son. I made a nice healthy dinner for us both, then our only snack was a piece of sugar-free Russell Stovers chocolate. My son is dropping the weight and loving it. He is trying harder than I’ve seen in the past. His autism makes food choices more difficult, but he’s really giving it a go! I thought I would really have to keep him on track, but it may turn out to be the other way around! So proud….. I am so happy to have had a loss of 4.2 lbs this round. That is less than I strive for in a month, but it is in the right direction. With all my challenges, especially the inability to take walks or do meaningful exercise, I have mainly had to rely on diet only and that has been difficult. I am just so pleased that it all paid off. Clearly I am feeling hopeful.

Day 01-11/26-196.6-(Trend weight 198.1) I’m very pleased with this weight today as I go into Turkey Day for my family. Yesterday was a lot of baking. I always seem to show a gain if I eat all 3 meals and yesterday I did eat 3, even though they were all “diet” and within plan. I think the slight gain is mainly from the one cupcake I gave into and all the spoon licking, as well as incorporating lunch (about 350 calories). Today will be very tempting. Tomorrow will likely show a gain but I will try to watch portion sizes (even if I’m over calorie because of all the choices.) Because it’s not a “diet”, it’s a lifestyle, today is a great day to practice eating with good judgment, staying attuned to my hunger cues, and eat smaller amounts at a time. It’s also okay if the pies and desserts wait a couple of hours after dinner. What the heck is the hurry?
