15 pounds to lose challenge November 1 - January 31, 2023

On a mission to lose 50kg 110lbs since march last year. I started at 115kg 253.5 lbs bmi 42.8
Hoping to lose the 6.8 kg 15lbs by the end of the challenge period but honestly will be happy even with half that just to break my plateau.
My goal is to aim for sticking to my calorie allowance, and get 10k steps per day.

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.
11/01-199.8-(Trend Weight: 200.2)- Was it the travel weight, the Halloween candy, or the 3 hours of sleep last night? Moving forward, but remembering in the Book of Psalms that it says in part “My life is continually in my hands……”
11/07-198.8-(Trend Weight: 199.9)- I lost one full pound during Halloween week. I count that as a win.
11/14-197.6-(Trend Weight: 199.1)- The scale hasn’t tipped this low since September so I feel like this is an opportunity. Travel tomorrow and Thursday. I’ve got to hang on to my progress!
11/21-198.6-(Trend Weight: 198.7)- One month ago on 10/21 I weighed 201.8 with a trend weight of 200.4. I needed to look back because I was feeling defeated today even though the trend weight went down. I can see that I am making progress even though it is slow. I need to lose more than 2 pounds in a month but at least it is in the right direction! Thanksgiving week. That is a challenge for us all who celebrate this week.
11/28-196.6-(Trend Weight: 197.9)- I lost 2 pounds during Thanksgiving week? That has got to be the first time in, like, EVER. I’m really trying 90% of the time. Clearly there is still room for growth but I’m proud that I managed to accomplish this! I can see that I won’t make my November goal because of all the bouncing back & forth, but I’m headed in the right direction.
11/30-196.2-(Trend Weight: 197.8)- I am happy to have lost 1.6 lbs this month. Traditionally in the fall and winter I gain 14 – 16 pounds!!!! Not doing THAT this year. It’s a promise I am making to myself!

Hi, I had already started a personal challenge like this on 1st Nov but only just found this group and I am happy to have found others to share with.
Start weight 67kg (147lbs) with a very disproportionate waist and a fear of type 2 diabetes etc if I didn't change my ways!
Current weight 65.5kg (144lbs) and although I forgot to measure my waist at the start I am sure it is a bit smaller.
I log every day and I am trying do bodyweight exercises but injuries are my nemesis!
Weighing in today 65.0kg, which I am pleased about as I thought I was stuck 😀
1st Dec 65.5kg so certainly no loss. I am a bit upset about it but I think I understand why. Trying to reset to good habits today.5 -

Well, I blew that. Medication changes, 2 Thanksgivings and a birthday, no good plan for getting back on track immediately all contributed. Hopefully I learned something and will handle December better.

12/01-198.4-(Trend Weight: 197.8)- Starting the month on a bloat day and after travel. The cardiology appt went very well. I don’t have to go back for 6 months. The goal now is to do the cardiac rehab for 12 weeks, twice per week. Also, to work on lowering my cholesterol. Of course, losing weight always helps so the journey continues for a healthier lifestyle and a healthier heart.

November to January Wt Loss Challenge
Looking back over past 4 or 5 years, with the exception of May to Aug 2021, all I see are unmet goals. Slow but steady 10 # backslide started Sept ’21. Seeing 167 last month sure was a reality check … only 3 below 170’s which took forever to get below.
New goal is to just move down the ladder 1 lb at a time. Get it off, hold, keep it off, then focus on the next pound.
Dec 1st Goal change: to be below 160 by Christmas – my gift to myself!
Then another 5 off by end of January.

Started the month with a big jump in weight. Between Thanksgiving and starting a new exercise workout this week, I am not surprised my weight jumped. It has also been mentally difficult this past week to get back into meeting my calories goals, so I decided to just not stress myself out and decided to eat close or near to my maintenance calories and just make sure that I tracked everything, I did not put any additional stresses on myself. That definitely helped and today I am mentally back at it. Working on also getting my water and walking in this week.

I spoke to my colleague who has lost 30 pounds in the last few months. First, she did a five day juice cleanse to jump start and then followed the Whole 30. I'm really proud of her!!
I have tried twice now to sign up for a weight loss program (they even send you scale) through my script insurance company. My friend told me about it; and it's free. You weight yourself every day on this program. And they have a good app for tracking. I like the whole idea because i like new things and challenges.
So, I have tried twice now to sign up. It's like signing up to go on a White House tour. First, I got an email from them with an access code. I entered the code and all the pertinent information. After a few emails back and forth proving that I am a member of their insurance group, I got another email that said we can't find you on our database, but it's under review.
So, I logged directly into my dashboard on the script insurance website and tried to sign up through there..... and so on..... very frustrating. Still waiting to get accepted to this free program.
Also, at my work, they are offering for us to wear "comfy" clothes for the month of January for a $20 donation to a charity and they'll organize a morning workout session in the gym. I did sign up for that.
