I am a 5'3" 61 year old retiree living in upstate NY.
I started tracking again with MFP on January 3rd 2022 and have lost 59.4 lbs to date.
My final goal weight is around 135.
January 3: 230
March 7: 216.6
June 3: 196.4
Sept 2: 182.8
Oct 28: 175.4
11/4: 174.7
11/11: 173
11/18: 171.4
11/25: 171.4
12/2: 170.6
12/9: 170.6
My body just doesn't seem to want to hit that 60 lb threshold. I was actually up about 1.2 lbs earlier in the week but it dropped back down as of this morning. I've adjusted my calorie goal a bit, maybe that will help. Fingers crossed that it will happen next week!
Have a great weekend!

@200Karen That guacamole Grinch is adorable! I am going to make that as well. How fun! Thank you for sharing.
I bought a bread machine of all things. I am sure this is going to turn out badly for my waistline but I love fresh bread and the fact that it has no preservatives in it is a plus. The house smells heavenly as it is baking. I am giving fresh bread as gifts to the neighbors. Really, it could not be easier. The machine does all the work. It's been a lot of fun, trying new recipes.5 -

Hi all! I usually post Fridays, but I missed yesterday. It is definitely motivating to see the scale moving in the right direction. My goal for the past week was to use a hunger scale. I would say that I used it only about 25% of the time. Also, I haven't been logging my foods as consistently as I'd like. I'll focus on these two goals this week. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Struggling with seeing the weight go up over the last 2 weeks even though I know I did not eat all those extra calories to justify the jump in weight. What I do know is that over the past 2 weeks I added a new workout program, which has caused more muscle soreness, and I have not been drinking enough water. While mentally I know those are probably the reasons for the jump in weight, it's still hard to see the jump on the scale, so I decided to take my measurements last week and hopefully I can see a change in measurements at the end of the month even if the scale doesn't show a change. I will just keep tracking and eat within my calorie levels, and make sure to increase my water and see how next week goes.

@taxgirl1 Muscles weighs much more than fat and you are surely building muscle with your new routine. Yes it is hard to see the jump in the scale so maybe go 10 days instead of 7 to weigh yourself? Surely your body will adjust soon. Don't be discouraged. It sounds like you are doing so well!
I am stuck but I certainly know why. I blame it on my new bread machine. I need to limit myself to one slice per day. It is just so damned delicious I can't help myself. I will be giving the next few loaves to neighbors and friends and stop making them just for us.3 -

That sounds fun! It's always gratifying to make your own bread, etc. I wish I lived closer to you!!!3 -
Took a break from the rigid diet this weekend. Back to basics today Monday-Friday. Cut up veggies, bought healthy snacks, and dinner already made. Easy to log when you plan ahead.6

12/01-198.4-(Trend Weight: 197.8)- Starting the month on a bloat day and after travel. The cardiology appt went very well. I don’t have to go back for 6 months. The goal now is to do the cardiac rehab for 12 weeks, twice per week. Also, to work on lowering my cholesterol. Of course, losing weight always helps so the journey continues for a healthier lifestyle and a healthier heart.
12/05-197.8-(Trend Weight: 197.7)- It seems like I hover around the same pound or two for months, then finally see a nice little drop. My last substantial drop was when I dipped into Onederland. Now I seem to be staying there no matter what (yay) but not really making any lasting further progress again. Looking for my next real drop or whoosh. They need to come faster!
12/12-198.2-(Trend Weight: 197.9)- It has been a week full of travel due to medical issues. Today will be my first true day of cardiac rehab (travel again.) I will be going 2x per week. Praying roads won’t be icy on my days. Praying also that the extra activity will help me all around.

Hello, I hope you all are doing well!
11/1 195.8
11/8 192.6 (3.2 lb loss )
11/15 195.6 what the heck! .2 lb loss from 11/1
Forgot to update my challenge a few weeks..
12/6 190.4 (5.2 lb loss this challenge)
12/13 191.4 (lowest weight this week was 189.4 though… 😀)
I am going back and forth with the same couple pounds. My weight loss has been slowing for sure, but I’m visibly smaller, a shirt that was snug on my hips last week was loose yesterday.
Just keep going! 💪

ALL-TIME HIGH: 217.0 on 02/29/2008!
SW: 159.0 (12/01: Post-Thanksgiving - UGH!) This was my December starting weight.
PW: 154.6 (12/08: Week of Atonement!)
CW: 153.8 (12/15: Back on Track!)
For my "Path to Lifestyle Change" program my starting weight was 09/01/22. My 1st and current weight loss stats are very interesting!
I need to be more consistent about checking in and reporting. Now that things are a bit less hectic, I should be able to do so. Cheers everyone!5 -

Even though the drop in weight is small, I will take the loss instead of the gain. I tracked everything this week, the good and the ugly, and kept focused on working on getting my water in.

December has been SLOW weight loss but at least it is not a gain as in most Decembers. I'll be OK if I maintain this until Jan 1 though my original hope was to get under 160. I can't really see losing 5 lbs realistically with the party season in full swing. I mean there are only so many carrot sticks I can eat before I want to dive into the tray of pigs in a blanket, crab dip, meatballs etc. I've been alcohol free since 12/1 so that has helped tremendously, keeping me from the mindless snacking that usually goes along with beer or wine.5
