12/3 / 172
12/4 / 174.2 / At the airport picking up my dad who will be staying with us for a few weeks. Husband and I spent our morning in a mad cleaning frenzy. All steps thus far are from cleaning!
12/5 / 173.4
12/6 / 171.4
12/7 / 171 / Had today off work to take my Dad for a hearing test. We went for lunch as well. Happy with the choices I made. I also started my day with a Peloton ride.
12/8 / 170.8 / Two Christmas events for work today - a Christmas lunch and a Christmas party. Chose a salad at lunch and at supper I kept my drinks reasonable. Lost track of nibbles but didn't go crazy. We bowled and I'll reach 10K steps.
12/9 / 171.2
12/10 / 171.2
12/11 / 173.8 / My brother and his fiancee got into town yesterday for the holidays so we are officially a full house. Industry issues are causing work to be even more stressful than usual. Yesterday we took my dad to a really great Christmas market, so that was good for some steps!
12/12 / 171.8 / Enjoyed the Bills win, a walk, a hot tub, and a lovely restaurant meal out with family yesterday.5 -

12/12: 145 - I didn't work out this weekend. On Sunday I stuck to my guns on food and did not snack after dinner (small victories, right?). I've lost two whole pounds this round. Yay! Now, leading up to Christmas, if I can only I CAN, I WILL keep up the new habits that I've been working to embed in my brain - no snacking after dinner and cutting back on days that I drink alcohol.
-2 lb. loss this round

quiltingjaine wrote: »@deepwoodslady Did you actually READ all of that paperwork? The home health nurse came yesterday with a stack (not even kidding) of things for DH to sign. He stopped at the 2nd one because Medicare limits home health to those who don’t leave the house except for church or medical. The nurse said it was okay to go out to eat and do other things but her company says “no casinos or malls.” THAT is a violation of Medicare policy so they are, essentially, defrauding the government. DH refused to sign and the appointment was done. So frustrating!
@quiltingjaine Most of the paperwork was surveys or questions regarding health etc. so I did have to read it all to answer the questions. But I understand your frustration! That stinks.
I didn't like some of the verbal comments during the orientation. If the icy roads are bad and you can't make it, you'll be dropped. If you are sick too often (even though you are here because of your poor health) you'll be dropped. If....you'll be dropped, If....you'll be dropped. I didn't feel very welcome!3 -

12/11 -198.2- (Trend weight 197.9) A good day for the most part yesterday but not much movement. 3 meals and a questionable snack. I spent most of the day wrapping presents and I’m not done yet. A friend visited for awhile. It was a quiet day. No TMI this morning. I will unexpectedly be traveling today if the roads are cleaned up from the snow. A package came in to a department store that I was hoping to pick up earlier in the week when I was at the dentist. So I hope to go get it, and do a little more shopping while in the medium sized city. I’ll be thoughtful for my choices for dinner. I need to get the numbers back down. The small drop today was appreciated but I’m feeling a little greedy.
12/12 -198.2- (Trend weight 197) I’ll consider this weight a win since I traveled yesterday. I really watched my choices for sure. My lunch became 3 meals. 1/3 for lunch, 1/3 for dinner and 1/3 for my hungry garbage can. It seemed to be all I needed. Sadly I gained this round but I’m not too surprised. It has been a lot of travel and sitting. Traveling again today for my first “real” cardiac rehab. That should get me moving!
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

Day/Weight/Comment
12/03 - 178.4 🥤🧘🏻♀️
Ok, I hit half my goals yesterday. Better than nuttin’! I’m off to a women’s holiday art fair this morning. It’s always a fun event with lots of beautiful things, and I always run into lots of friends there. I’m hoping to find something for a hard-to-buy-for friend — wish me luck!
12/04 - 178.6 🥤🧘🏻♀️
We ordered out for lunch and it was salty. I drank lots of water, but still feel puffy, so am pushing extra water today. It’s very cold out —19F, feels like 9 — so I’m pretty much hunkered down. I had a great time at the art fair yesterday and came home with a few things, including a lovely ceramic serving plate for my hard-to-buy-for friend. Whew! As always, I ran into lots of friends there.
12/05 - 177.8 🥙🥤
Ok, movement in the right direction.
12/06 - 176.8 🥙🥤🧘🏻♀️
Yes! This may be exaggerated as yesterday I had no lunch and vegetarian chili for dinner, so calories were very low, but I’ll take it!
12/07 - 177.6 🥙🥤⏰🧘🏻♀️
That’s more realistic than yesterday’s weight, but still the right direction. I managed not to snack last night — yay! DH wants Welsh rarebit (calories & cheesy fat!) for dinner, so I’m going very low the rest of the day. I do love the sharp cheddar in the rarebit!
12/08 - 177.2 🥤
Very happy with this, since I did indulge in a bit of comfort food last night. It’s ok, today is planned, and I started with one of my fav breakfasts—1 egg over easy on a dry slice of Dave’s Killer Bread Good Seed Thin. Yummy, healthy, and hold me for hours. I’m picking up carry out Panera (half salad for me) for lunch at a friend’s house.
12/09 - 177.4 🥤🧘🏻♀️
Had some peppermint candies at my friend’s house and went a bit over calories. Not too bad, though. Back on track today as I don’t plan to go anywhere and I have lots to do to keep me busy. 😁
12/10 - 177.4 🥤
It’s a gloomy, cold, gray day outside, but I have my music cranked up and lots of catch-up jobs to do — wind yarn (I’ve bought so much yarn this fall! Eeek!), start a new pet portrait (I’m reviving my portrait business on a limited basis and have 3 commissions, so better get busy!), finish knitting a gift for a friend, and clean up and fill up this new-to-us cabinet I found at a local resale store. Our kitchen is small with very limited storage, and the other cabinet is full, so this will help. Plus I love the style. Better yet, it doesn’t need any work other than cleaning. Yay! So I hope I’ll be busy enough not to snack. 😁
12/11 - 177.4 🥙🥤⏰
It’s soup day! This will be the 48th different soup this year, my Sunday soup project started the first Sunday of 2022. It’s been fun! Now to figure out what I’m making today…. And whether to try to catch up — I missed two weeks during the year. I put the leftovers in a silicone muffin pan and freeze, pop them into freezer bags, and then microwave 2-3 for quick lunches. Love it!
12/12 - 177.4 🥤
Ok, not too great, not too bad. See you next round!

Is round 208 up yet? I can’t find it. Thanks!2

12/12 - 163.6 - I weighed in prematurely on my own comments. Oh well. I wanted to get a "starting off" point. I'm still taking cough meds right now but I'm completely off everything else, including the Tamiflu. I'm still struggling with sleepiness but I got up this morning just to get moving, even if it was just walking around the house. NerdFitness Journey has a new group challenge starting today and it's a bodyweight workout so I started that. I did 2 rounds while listening to a work call. I'll do the last 2 rounds later on as I'm already feeling the soreness in my legs and want to give them a break (as well as my ribs as they're feeling bruised and painful from all the coughing. At least the cough is now productive and I'm getting all that icky gunk out!). All in all, starting today I'm easing back into things. I ate breakfast already today and tomorrow I'll see about pushing that back just a bit to get back into IF. I'm reintroducing some small movement in with plenty of time in between to allow my body enough rest and will slowly increase time or intensity (only one of those, though!) until my body recovers fully and I have my strength back to start pushing myself for improvements. Yesterday was my first day tracking my water intake as it was hard to track using only my mugs for tea since they're all different sizes and I would lose count haha. Excited to see what next round brings for us all! See you there

12/09 - Sorry I've been MIA. I was gone out of town only to come back and get diagnosed with the flu. I've been battling it since Monday night and today is the first day I feel well enough to even think about hopping on my laptop to check in. My doc said to beware! I have Influenza A right now, but come eeeeearly spring, Influenza B is slated to have one of the worst seasons in almost a decade! I know I'll be stocking up on my vitamins and herbal "remedies" to help avoid it. Be safe out there, COVID is not the only threat right now. I'm just thankful I caught mine early enough that meds are helping and that it's flu, not COVID. I don't think I'll really partake in the remainder of this round as I'm having symptoms and taking the prescribed medications, but I wanted to check in and let everyone know. Stay safe out there!!! I'll do my best to be back next round, for sure!

@deepwoodslady We have encountered that same negativity recently and my husband told someone that they sounded as if they didn’t want to work with him/us. I think some people just don’t want to be bothered with WORKING for their paycheck they just want the money.
@CamandJarvis I hope you are feeling “up to snuff” soon!!

12/3 123.5 DH took neighbor to a local bakery yesterday and came home with a loaf of sourdough and 2 enormous pastries! URGGGGG
12/4 124.0 I have no WON’T POWER!! As in I WON’T eat that huge pastry. Had small Greek salad with steak. Ate 3 pieces of steak and saved 3 for today. Making a rotisserie chicken this afternoon.
12/5 124.5 Getting frustrated with trying to get the Fitbit app on my iPad. I’m walking ore steps than usual-almost 3 times what I was doing. Probably not drinking enough water. DH has surgery tomorrow so I may be late checking in or forget entirely.🤷♀️
12/6 127.0!!!! We arrived at the surgical center at 5:11AM UGH I had a Margarita yesterday and enjoyed all of the salt! I’m tired, have to catch up tomorrow-reading from top of page 4.
12/7 126.5 yesterday I found myself waiting to hear my husband come in and say I’m home and then I realized he’s not home. He’s at the hospital until sometime today. I’m waiting to hear from him so I can pick him up. There must be something going on at the surgical center, because they had him use the antiseptic wash and wipes the night before surgery and did wipes again yesterday at the hospital and they put him on an antibiotic after the surgery, which they didn’t do before. Trying to get my head together doing a 25 day tracking challenge on Senza. I’ve been way over on carbs and calories so the gain is expected but doesn’t make me happy.
12/8 125.5 Yesterday was a good day dietarily. I know I haven’t been drinking enough water since it cooled off here so made a conscious effort to get more. DH is home and in much better shape than last time. He can speak in intelligible sentences. Only taking naproxen for pain.
12/9 125.0 Awake since 3:30, can’t turn my brain off.
12/10 125.0 DH decided to break his own rule about not leaving the house until his follow up next week because he wanted In-N-Out. I ate some of his fries but had my burger in a lettuce wrap.(“protein style, no spread”)
12/11 124.5 DD#2 and DSIL stopped by for a short visit yesterday afternoon. Slept until 4:50 after going to bed at 9:45 last night. According to Fitbit, no REM x 3 nights.
12/12 124.5 Great Greek yesterday so I’m good with this.
Again, my apologies for neglecting to post the next round.3 -

12/3: 133.2 - Got a good workout in yesterday. Calories were carb and fat dense as I was trying to use up some heavy whipping cream that I had bought for Thanksgiving. Made the NYTimes creamy cauliflower pasta recipe - delicious but definitely calorie- and fat-laden.
12/4: 132.9 - I had a good workout yesterday, but then mostly sedentary the rest of the day. Good eating within calories and with macros as well.
12/5: 133.4 - Mini-binge last night.
12/6: 133.8 - Headed in the wrong direction weight-wise, but doing my workouts and tracking my food
12/7: 133.8 -
12/8: 132.5 - No evening snacking.
12/9: 132.7 - 2nd day of no evening snacking. Got my workouts in as well as good eating.
12/10: 133.4 - Maybe high sodium or carbs? Had a good workout and ate almost all my exercise calories back. Great sleep.
12/11: 133.6 - Workout and leftovers.
