Okay, after watching from the sidelines, for many days, I'm taking the plunge today. I started in Nov, and until now, I have lost 6.5 pounds. It would be great to have a weight + time challenge. My next mini-timeline will be to test on 31st Dec. Then 15th Jan, then 31st Jan. That will show me if I'm doing things right or going wrong somewhere.
Wish everyone luck and thanks for such a supportive community.7 -

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

11/30-196.2-(Trend Weight: 197.8)- I am happy to have lost 1.6 lbs this month. Traditionally in the fall and winter I gain 14 – 16 pounds!!!! Not doing THAT this year. It’s a promise I am making to myself!
Nov Start: 197.8
Nov Actual: 196.2
Nov Goal: (5 pound loss) 192.8
Cumulative Weight Loss so Far: 1.6 lbs. LOST
12/01-198.4-(Trend Weight: 197.8)- Starting the month on a bloat day and after travel. The cardiology appt went very well. I don’t have to go back for 6 months. The goal now is to do the cardiac rehab for 12 weeks, twice per week. Also, to work on lowering my cholesterol. Of course, losing weight always helps so the journey continues for a healthier lifestyle and a healthier heart.
12/05-197.8-(Trend Weight: 197.7)- It seems like I hover around the same pound or two for months, then finally see a nice little drop. My last substantial drop was when I dipped into Onederland. Now I seem to be staying there no matter what (yay) but not really making any lasting further progress again. Looking for my next real drop or whoosh. They need to come faster!
12/12-198.2-(Trend Weight: 197.9)- It has been a week full of travel due to medical issues. Today will be my first true day of cardiac rehab (travel again.) I will be going 2x per week. Praying roads won’t be icy on my days. Praying also that the extra activity will help me all around.
12/19-197.0-(Trend Weight: 198.1)- I’ve been up all week with bloat and travel weight but I am trying to reign it in so December doesn’t get away from me. Today is more travel with cardiac rehab. I’ll have lunch out but I’ve got to make good choices. I’ll be baking and making cookies and candies soon!

Making progress doing Sllim Fast. My husband and I are having two shakes, an egg, fruit and veggies and a healthy meal. I've lost 5 pounds in three weeks. Now, I'm getting used to a small lunch instead of going to get McDonald's or Chipotle. At work, the students are starting to give me gifts which is very kind. But most of the gifts are sweet treats. Big container of caramel popcorn, 10 fancy delicious pretzels covered in sprinkles and chocolate galore. I'm going to have to share most of these with my colleagues and a sweet old aunt I have. I can't eat all of this.5

@frankwbrown You are amazing and inspiring! Don't let that 8 lbs discourage you. That is nothing compared to what you have already lost!5

My husband and I have been splitting entrees when we go out to dinner now. We had Mexican last night and the woman brought 2 huge platters. One with steak, shrimp and sausage... a huge amount, and the other with rice, tortillas, beans, guacamole, salsa and sour cream. This is supposedly for one person. We shared it and were both stuffed. Obviously this is saving money and tons of calories.
I weigh in on Fridays so hopefully this dinner won't set me back too much. I am going easy on myself no matter what. I haven't had an alcoholic beverage for 3 weeks which is challenging enough at this time of year so I'm not going to freak out if the scale hasn't moved.

On a mission to lose 50kg 110lbs since march last year. I started at 115kg 253.5 lbs bmi 42.8
Hoping to lose the 6.8 kg 15lbs by the end of the challenge period but honestly will be happy even with half that just to break my plateau.
My goal is to aim for sticking to my calorie allowance, and get 10k steps per day.
Nov 1 start date: 88.2 kg 194.4lbs
Nov 8 88.2 kg 194.4 lbs (Down 0 - 0 in total this challenge)
Nov 15 87.5 192.9 lbs (Down 0.7kg 1.5lbs - 0.7kg 1.5 bs in total this challenge)
Nov 22 86.6kg 190.9 lbs (Down 0.9kg 2lbs - 1.6kg 3.5lbs in total this challenge)
Nov 29 86.3kg 190.2 lbs (Down 0.3kg 0.7lbs - 1.9kg 4.2lbs in total this challenge)
Dec 6th 86.1kg 189.8lbs (Down 0.2 kg 0.4lbs - 2.1kg 4.6lbs in total this challenge)
Dec 13th 86.1kg 189.8lbs (Down 0.0 kg 0.0lbs - 2.1kg 4.6lbs in total this challenge)

Great idea! Hubby and I do that sometimes when we order takeout from our favorite Italian restaurant. 1 order is typically enough food for 2 or 3 meals.3 -

I'm not losing any weight so far but I'm also not gaining and with all the holiday treats around I'll take it. I started a 30 day yoga challenge and it's kicking my butt.5 -
It's tough to lose weight when you live alone and "no one is watching you", LOL; so I'm IN!

Lost 17 pounds in the last round, but the scale hasn't budged for 4 weeks now. I'm eating at a deficit and I'm still sore from lifting last week, so it's gotta move soon, right?

Finally out of the obese weight range. Woo hoo! I did not expect a 1.3 lb loss this week since I had to cut back on my cardio a bit due to back and knee issues.
Hoping I don't see too much of a gain at my next weigh in. I'm planning to eat and drink what I like this weekend but will watch the portions so I don't go too crazy.
Merry Christmas if you celebrate the holiday. If you don't I hope you have a great weekend!

Merry Everything! I know not everyone celebrates Christmas but I want to wish you all a very Happy New Year! Every single day, we try so hard to better ourselves. Some days we feel better than other days and do better, sometimes we don't.
Try to enjoy the simple things this season! Sending big hugs to a great team on this thread!6 -
