    My name is Donna. I am 62 years old, 5' 5" tall. I live in the Midwest of USA. I am in remission for breast cancer, have Type 2 Diabetes, an under active thyroid, high blood pressure and cholesterol, some osteoporosis and coronary heart disease with a stent in my heart. I am working to get healthier. I know losing weight and exercising more will help all of these issues.

    My name is Carol im 75 years old,I am 217lbs. I had previously lost 51lbs but from 2018 to 2019 had three major surgeries two for cancer and since then all the weight had piled back on, I need to lose this weight.

    This challenge seems just what I need. Been away from MFP for about 5 years. Been dropping off the same 5lbs for about 10 years while trying to lose 50lb. I'll be back on the 1st to post starting weight.

    Hi! My name is Pam and I am happy to join along with the fun and motivation! I live in San Antonio with my hubby and very spoiled cat. The struggle is real so I am doing all I can to get my act together. I work 24 hour shifts so it is hard to maintain a "normal" schedule sometimes :(

    Hello everyone, I'm Carol an I'm just rejoining MFP. I'm 50 years old and have some heart health issues but want to join in on this challenge. Hoping it will keep me focused and on track.
    I'm a good cheerleader for others and would like to have some back if possible.
    I will do my 1st weight in Next Wednesday January 4th because I will be on a bus for 35 hours traveling home Monday morning until Tuesday night. An right now I'm at my daughter's without a scale to check 🤦🏻‍♀️. Hope that's ok with everyone ☺️.

    Starting the new year off! There is 13 weeks in this challenge with no major holidays to distract me with rich and fatty foods! My goal is a pound and a half per week, which means 20 lbs by end of March (I rounded up! 😄).

    Let's do this!

    Hello all, I’m Amanda from Michigan. I belong to 2 other challenges on here but thought I would give this one a try! I will post my weight on Mondays.
    I lost 45 pounds in 2022 and would like to lost at the very least 45 more in 2023. I have some scary medical procedures coming up in January and have no idea how they will affect my weight!

    Hi everyone! I would love to join this challenge! I'm a 36 year old mom of five with my first grandbaby on the way. I have been putting myself last and not taking care of myself as much as I used to and have gained alot of weight in the process. I miss workout out all the time and feeling comfortable in my own skin. I am ready to make some changes and get myself where I want to be.

    I'm in my mid 40s with 3 kids.i really struggle with stress/binge eating. Everything seems fine and then I fall apart and struggle to regain willpower/motivation.

    My challenges for 2022 were my mom being diagnosed with an unknown aggressive cancer, massive restructuring at work, and various kid related issues. My mom is expected to ring the bell next week so hopefully she is healthy for 2023. Everything else will stay stressful so I'm working on dealing better.

    I'm 5'3 and before my 3rd kid, I was around 140 lbs and around a size 6-8. I went up to 190 on the day I delivered and got to 170 before I started gaining. My high is around 205. My son turns 8 I. January.

    My goals for 2023
    1. Keep doing the exercise classes 5 or more times a week
    2. When we go on holidays, try to stay active and not excessively eat junk.
    3. Order my groceries online because it makes me meal plan and not buy as much junk food "for the family "
    4. Keep working on my mental health and trying to carve out time for me.

    January is a tough month as we have 3 birthdays. I don't want to cut out cake but I want to limit it to a serving a day.

    I’d love to join the challenge! Getting on track for the 100th time. I did WW several years ago and lost about 70 lbs but my relationship with food was not sustainable. Now that I’ve regained and have complicating health issues (insulin resistance, high BP, prediabetes), I find myself wanting to find a way to do this in a healthy, sustainable way so I can model it for my kids and make sure I’m around for them for a long time.

    I’m almost 42, mom to two awesome kids (7&10), and wife to an amazing husband who says he will get up early with me to workout. Between now and when this challenge ends, I’ll be completing my dissertation & taking the comprehensive exams for my doctorate. Add a high stress full-time job to that, and I find myself going for all the convenience items I can find to keep us all fed in the least amount of time. It hasn’t always been that way, & with the end of my doctorate in sight, I’m ready to put more focus on my health again.

    Looking forward to keeping each other accountable!!
