I used to host 3-month weight loss challenges in here a couple years ago. Glad to see there's one going now! Happy to be back on MFP.

    Original starting weight: 322
    Challenge starting weight: 265
    Challenge goal: 250

5 pounds a month should be manageable for me!

Happy New Year. I like this challenge. I'm 62, retired and have gained back the 30 pounds I lost on the way to 50 off two years ago. Surgery seems a common theme in our age group...had both knees replaced in 2022. So I am ready to move!

    Hi Everyone!

    Happy New Year!

I am AnnMarie from NYC. I've struggled a number of years with my weight, doesn't help that I binge. After gaining earlier in 2022 as I dealt with some health issues, I recently lost 22lbs within the past few months and want to stay on track to keep losing and keep myself accountable. I'm glad to have found this challenge, I'll post on Fridays

My name is Donna. I am 62 years old, 5' 5" tall. I live in the Midwest of USA. I am in remission for breast cancer, have Type 2 Diabetes, an under active thyroid, high blood pressure and cholesterol, some osteoporosis and coronary heart disease with a stent in my heart. I am working to get healthier. I know losing weight and exercising more will help all of these issues.

CHALLENGE STARTING WEIGHT (FROM Dec 31, 2021): 199.8
CHALLENGE TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS GOAL: Total Loss of 15 pounds to land at 184.8
    CHALLENGE ENDING WEIGHT:

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!
    250’s; 240’s; 230’s; 220's; 210's; 200's; 190's; 180’s; 170's; 160's; 150’s

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

01/01-199.2-(Trend Weight: 199.2)- Good luck this round everyone. I hope this one is better than the last one for me. Happy New Year. Cheers to you. Wishing you all health, happiness, much success and wonderful times with your family and friends.

Hey, I'm Caitlin. I decided to join because I'm at my highest weight and my health and quality of life is suffering from the choices I've made, so its time to get serious about my health again. My goal is to lose 15 by the end of March and hopefully never find them again.

    Hi, I'm Pixy!
I like the idea of a three month challenge. I've recently restarted. I lost 110 lbs and got down to 199. It took over a year with a balance of execise and calories. Then in 2014 I pinched my sciatic nerve. My doctor insisted I cease ALL exercise and it would resolve itself. My diet lasted about 6 months and then the creep started. My sciatica didn't resolve itself and a year later I had laproscopic surgery to remove the pressure from my disc. By the time I was cleared for activity, I was back to 260. Disillusioned I couldn't make myself restart right away (I felt my body had betrayed me). But with COVID layoffs and not working, my weight recently shot back over 300. I'm back because it's time and I'm tired of hurting myself everytime I start an activity or even twist wrong. LOL! Wear and tear on the body is brutal at this weight. I just hit the 40lb loss and plan to keep going! :)

Hello gang, my name is Stormy. I’m a 72-year-old male who loves softball, bowling, pickleball, and eating. I love playing sports and do a decent job at most of them. On the other hand, I am a world-class eater and have eaten my way to 196.6 pounds as of today. Quite an achievement for someone who is only 5’ 4.5 “ tall.
I have joined this group to gain motivation, inspiration, and insight to avoid reaching the 200-pound mark. Hopefully, I found you all just in time. I will be weighing in on Sundays and looking forward to hearing your success stories, kind words of encouragement, and advice on getting/staying healthy.
