I took this photo in 1988.
I was visiting the Grand Canyon and I saw a squirrel on the rock looking out over the canyon and I had to take a picture to capture it.2 -

Happy birthday!
It's nice your memory's still in tact. I've been 29 for decades.2 -

I remember the day that my leopard seat tricycle was stolen off the driveway when I left it out during a dust storm.
To say I was upset would be an understatement. 😭1 -

I remember when my banana bicycle was stolen
We need to drink to our stolen bicycles2 -
I remember the only time I attempted to bake bread.
It ended up weighing about 10lbs and would have made a good weapon if used to wallop someone in the head.
I never tried again.2 -
I remember the time when I was 17 and wanted to be with my boy friend at a party in the middle of the night. I sneaked outside our house and literally pushed our heavy F100 ford truck out of the driveway myself with out starting it up and got it down the road so I could leave! Never underestimate a determined teenager in love!5

I remember the giant silver mixing bowl at Mom's house had three uses
1: mixing cake mix
2: popcorn
3: stomach virus bowl 🤮4 -
I remember the first time I fell in love with coffee. I was in Chicago visiting family. Someone was making Mexican coffee. I was cold and decided to try it.
My soul felt complete in that first sip. It was warm...with a hint of cinnamon...and I felt internal happiness.
I was hooked 🪝 So there you have it. The first time I fell in love with coffee ☕️ 🩷5 -
I remember telling my parents that I wanted to get married (I was 17) and next thing I knew I was locked up in psyche ward at a hospital.6

I remember not getting my first calculator, a basic 4-function (add, subtract, multiply, divide) until I was taking calculus. Meanwhile, my kids were allowed to use their phones to "help" in math class during pre-algebra.1

I remember kindergarten involving cursive writing and crayons. Now, they're typing and using iPads and chromebooks.2 -

Yes, I was once told that I should make sure anything I post was suitable for grandmothers. Seeing as I am friendly with quite a few grandmothers and my own grandmother was cool AF and I am not too far from grandmotherly age myself, I was very confused. But you know, bygones.3 -

I have lots of fond memories and memories that provide me with an abundance of nightmares....One memory is that of a friend that I met when I was attending the Foreign Service Language School in Rosslyn, Virginia....It was Shirley Temple and her husband Charles Black. They both became good friends of mine....we had some fantastic fun and did share some fond times....I was so sad when she passed away.....3

How lucky you were to have been friends with Shirley Temple!
She seemed like such a kind, compassionate person. 😊1
