@cbabie congrats on the weight loss! too bad about your stomach, hope you feel better tomorrow and can go on the treadmill. Wow, it sounds like a lot of parenting duties fall on you. Do you have any family or babysitters that can help you get more time to yourself and rest up? and yes, it was so beautiful out there.

@gemwolf110 that’s great you had such a productive weekend. Wow, you are really on the ball with tracking too, doing both MFP and WW. When I was doing WW, I always struggled to stay under their points but I find MFP easier.

I do find tracking easier with MFP BUT since they made the barcode scanner premium only that kind of makes some things a bit trickier. Not sure if I want to pay for both WW and MFP. I rarely stay under points. Back 20 ish years ago I didn’t have any issues staying within my points range.

Morning all, I feel better this morning. I am hoping it was a fluke. I am planning on getting on the treadmill today and I am excited about it. LOL

@trooworld I am so sorry that is how your day went. I feel you, it seems for the last 10 years I have been doing what everyone else thought was important and my plans went right out the window. So my new thing is - if it doesn't bring me joy it's going bye bye.. Yes I know easier said than done. baby steps. Try telling the student, that you have to clock in and you will be happy to help right after that. Try using the word hold on...wait...no...nothing wrong with them. I hope your dogs learn to get along..

@tamevv Congrats on tracking!!! get job

@senoritafloridita I am working on saying no, hold on, wait...LOL.

    Morning all 👋

Well I tracked yesterday and met my calorie goal! First time in AGES. Woke up early so got up and did just 10 mins on the elliptical. It’s not much but I’m still nursing my feet heavily and they are pretty painful still, but the elliptical barely puts any pressure and I’m hoping small doses will ease me back into it.

@trooworld. That is frustrating when it’s a day like that. Short days are awesome for recovering though 😁. I’m off tomorrow and CANT WAIT for the time to myself.

@cbabie that is good advice to give yourself - it’s the follow through that’s hard 😊. This last few months I’ve been having a bit of a turning point and I’m happy to say I am finally having some clarity about that all - still working through details and flare ups but I’m definitely feeling better in myself. It all started with my change in perspective and inner dialogue from what I HAVE to do to what I CHOOSE to do - careful not to use the word WANT because I often do things I don’t WANT to but can acknowledge the bigger picture, so I choose to do them anyway - I want the result of the action, so put up with the action itself. What this did was put me back in control of my life and make me rediscover my own desires and goals. It’s a small shift to begin with, but definitely worth it 😊

@cbabie Yeah zoo trips are exhausting, I'm sure it's doubly so with a toddler and a baby! That's weird, did you tell the doctor what happened to you? Congrats on the 2 lb loss! Yeah I try to give blood when I can.

@Tamevv Great job! Keep it up!

@senoritafloridita Yes! Way too expensive, even for a salad or a burger, it's expensive. And yes, even McD's! Oh gosh, that's too bad you can't get out of this weekend but it will make that first weekend that you can relax even better. :D

Hi all. I was in such a bad mood yesterday. I don't think I mentioned, but I was breaking up a dog fight between my pups on Sunday morning and I got bit. Well, I have been depressed about it. It wasn't done on purpose, they meant to bite each other lol. But still, I am depressed that it happened (and keeps happening). We've modified some things to minimize the chance of it happening but still. It may happen. Yesterday, I had a bad day at work. It started even before work, the dogs got in 2 fights. Then I got to work and before I could even clock in, a student stopped me and wanted to talk about something. So, I was late clocking in. And I was busy all day doing not what I wanted to take care of but what other people wanted me to do that wasn't as important. I hope today will be better.

    Water yesterday: 50 oz

My phrase for the year: "Every choice is another chance to change my health for the better."

Urgh dog fights. My pack had them. One of mine is just easily over stimulated and tends to burst. Try to keep him as calm as possible. There was a point where it just was happening to often. Brought him to vet and he actually had a CCL partial tear in both hind legs. I also had a canine behaviorist come to the house. No wonder he was grumpy he was in pain. I would definitely have them checked out by vet and consult canine behaviorist. Hope the bite isn’t too bad.

10 minutes is good to start! Especially if your in pain. And great job staying within calories budget! Mindset is everything but is so tough to achieve sometimes.

@cbabie I'm so glad you are feeling better. Did you get on the treadmill? You are BACCCCCK! Thanks, re my day. I like your new way of thinking. Good advice, thanks. I hope they learn to get along, too!

Hi all. Yesterday was much better. Today will be even better because I'm off at 10 am to take a friend to a colonoscopy appt. So, very short day. We stopped by Trader Joe's last night and got some things for dinners this week as it seems like we don't feel like cooking lol.

    Water yesterday: 50 oz

Hope everything with the colonoscopy goes well!

Morning all, yesterday was a blur...I think I was in my car 80% of the day...I am feeling better today, we think its some meds that need readjusting. LOL. I did get on my treadmill and LOVED it. I had forgotten it was "My" time that used to get my head in the right place.

@trooworld glad the colonscopy went well. Yea work at home!!! LOL. Yes I haven't wanted to cook all week, must be something in the air.

    @gemwolf110 workout was great, thanks...

@Tamevv Glad you are back and you have made some really good "choices" ...I think we are all turning this ship around...

Morning all, I didn't get on the treadmill yesterday. I actually was cleaning out my closets all day. LOL. you know I am in the purging mode right now.

@trooworld I suggest you do one thing and not worry about "all" of it. I am finding that I am changing subtle little ways through my mindset and who I put around me. If I am in the influence of people who eat cake all day..eventually I will be doing the same. So I am trying to keep in front of me people who are fighting for their health in my area of my mind, by social media, books, TV, podcasts, whatever I can do to surround me with people who care about their health. Cause I am like you, it's been a long journey and I want to just accept me, but I have to keep striving as I really don't want to be insulin dependent like my parents.

@trooworld no definitely don’t give up. I have been there more times than I can count. The only reason I’m losing weight now is because I kept on trying different things. Actually more specifically, i’m doing some thing that I never did before. Maybe look through different diet plans and find something totally new and different.

So this weekend we are on the third weekend away in a row, and all of us are desperately looking forward to a weekend of pure relaxation and doing nothing next weekend. I’m also ticked off because we’ll still be on the road tomorrow morning, and if I had had my kitchen, I could’ve made us all a nice brunch, I don’t mind doing work on Mother’s Day as long as we get to have a nice brunch. But I can’t even do that. And on the way back on the road, we have to make an appearance at my monster in-laws. Unfortunately my husband has a narcissistic mother. We got her what we thought was a wonderful present for Christmas, collectible, Norman Rockwell plates since he told me, she really loves that artist. We got ”I have nowhere to put them.” Well for Mother’s Day we’re not going through that again, we just got cards for everybody.

On the weight-loss side, I lost two more pounds this week. I am very encouraged. My foot has still been hurting from the long hike and half marathon, but maybe a few more days and my son and I will be able to do the 5K workouts.

I'm loving all these pictures. Exercise has been good this week. Food-I've went over calories about 100-200 four times this week but the quality of food for the most part has been good. I even had some roasted veggies with sausage this morning for breakfast. Veggies in the a.m. never happens for me. So I'm trying to change that.

@senoritafloridita Hubby and me losing weight. He's kind of in the put up or shut up mode since it's been 30 years I've been wanting to "lose weight and get to goal" I've lost loads of lbs and gained them all back. Still working on that consistency thing. But now he's gaining weight which he used to be a gym rat but not anymore. Now he's retired. I hope I can be a good role model for him now. Yaaay on your weight loss.

@trooworld Awww too bad about the musical festival. I know how much you like them. I hope you get over this soon.

@cbabie Did you get on the treadmill today? That's good that you are changing your mindset.

Today I have reached my streak of 2500 days of logging in.

Hi all. Hope you're all well. I'm back on WW. My first week and I've lost 2.5 lbs. Can't remember when I posted last but I finally moved house in December and loving my new garden. I don't get out much so I've been walking up and down my garden path to get my steps in and got my fitbit back on! I recently lost my best friend who was like family to me so that was tough and I fell off track.

Treating myself to a haircut in a few weeks. Will then meet up with a friend and go lunch another day when she's free.

    All the best.

@theslightedgeforever that’s great about the healthy eating! And that’s good about you and your hubby losing weight together now. I know you can get to goal! Definitely, with all the healthy, eating and exercising you’re doing, you’ll be there before you know it.

Happy Mother’s Day to all who celebrate! I hope you are all treated like queens.

Well, I was able to catch up on my rest last night. I was completely bushed yesterday but luckily, there was a nice field by the concerts, where I just took a quick nap in the grass and everybody else took cat naps in Adirondack chairs that were on the grass too. The music was absolutely beautiful and it was so refreshing after some stressful things we’re going through at home.

Also, I skipped breakfast as usual yesterday, but then had a very big lunch so I decided to skip dinner as well. So this morning when I got up, I wanted to weigh myself as I usually do first thing. The hotel gym was shut off due to renovations. I just wanted to go in to see if there was a scale in there, but they wouldn’t let me, boo.

Oh, well, our hotel just happen to be next to a great breakfast spot. It opened at seven, but we decided to be there at 6:30 just in case there was already a line. There wasn’t, but we were still happy to be the first people in the door, because most of the restaurant filled up pretty quickly after that. And we had a very nice breakfast after all which I didn’t think we would be able to have. So yay.

Morning all, just checking in and showing I am really still alive. LOL. I haven't done so well, yesterday I just gave up and said I am who I am and maybe I will go quickly and not suffer with horrible illness or pain. LOL. Today, I am still in the hole, but know that if I can improve my quality of life I need to. Sometimes it seems it's better/easier (LOL) to just be naive and just let life happen to you.. :)

@trooworld glad you are feeling better and yes I thought the scale would have at least showed maintained.

@senoritafloridita yea on the positive outlook in regards to the scale. It really isn't our enemy..LOL

@roz0810 Good for you and thanks for the spreadsheet.
