Hi Jeda, Please add me to this list? I posted on the spring challenge but I realize it's almost over. I would love to join this group so I can be more accountable over the summer months. I’m not new to MFP I’ve had it for two years now and I’ve never fully utilized it. Never participated in the community chat but today for some reason I was tempted. This summer weight loss challenge garnered my attention.
The reason I’m here is because of motivation as well. Alot of uncontrolled situations happening and mental blocks as well.
Anyway, back to the topic; what do I do? Do I copy the initial post instructions to my logbook and then post it once I’m done? Or on the specific days noted I have to jump on this chat and create a new reply?1 -

Happy summer all.
To be honest, I had surgery last summer, gained 20 lbs in recovery, and I'm now in early meno and take hrt and have been actively exercising, lifting light weights and doing cardio and eating according to ww since December and lost nothing 😔 anytime I've lost a pound or two, it's back on my body within a matter of weeks.
Been advised by Dr to try low carb diet for insulin resistance to balance sugars out and while I was not eager to go this route I have had success with it in the past so I'm going to give it a shot for a couple months and see if it makes a difference to lose the weight.
I'm hesitant to set goals because of this but would like the accountability of a group to check in with each week to monitor my progress.
This week I've cut my caffeine down to almost nothing, per Dr atkins instructions for induction, as that's the most structured program I've found and used in the past to make it easy for myself and see if I can get the scale moving as it has done in the past.
Looking forward to checking in with you all regularly and sharing successes over the next several months,

I lose the pounds very slowly as it is, so my goal is pretty conservative. I'm also planning to build just a little muscle so I imagine that would detract from loss of actual poundage. I'm aiming for better tone, stamina, and feeling healthier overall. Let's go 🙂
