Well summer was brutal, and even into Sept. we had high 90s. But October has cleared it up thankfully and it's been beautiful in the 70s/60s. My inflammation has been lower too, I've barely taken any NAISDs these past few weeks, or even Tylenol.
Because of all this I started taking the dog on longer walks down the trails here and it's really been paying off.

I needed this challenge for the holidays. I was recently diagnosed with some liver problems and I don’t even drink so I know for sure it’s my diet. Doctor said I need to lose 60 pounds by January. I love in a house full of skinny people so it’s just me, my meal prepping, and learning a liver diet. My weight will keep me from a donor list if needed so it’s time to fight for my life. I got little ones to raise still ☺️10 -

Off weeks happen. Just keep at it. I find as long as I make sure to log what I eat it usually keeps me honest and mostly on the right track.7 -

@thatbeautifulchick We are here for you. You can do this!!! Please try pre-logging your food the night before, some form of moderate exercise everyday, even if it's broken up into 10 minutes at a time. Push the water. We will help in anyway we can! @refactored Just a reminder that the weight loss is not linear. Seeing the ups and downs helps me to get back in line, keep things in check, get back on track. I may stop by the dollar store today and pick up some sugar-free Werthers candies that I can suck on in a candy dish emergency. Even though I am a chocoholic, there is something very spooky and dangerous about candy corn. You eat one piece, EVEN ONE, and it leads to another and another and another. I won’t be buying or eating any candy corn this season!
10/10-183.2-(Trend Weight 187.1)- I ramped up my exercise this past week and began eating later in the day so that my dinner ends up pretty late and there is no need for those night time snacks (that I have a hard time controlling.) I’m still experimenting with the zig-zagging of both my calories and my carbs as well. It seems to be keeping the scale moving without stalls or plateaus so far. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, so I will stay the course. I noticed that my scale weights almost always end in a .2 or a .8 very strange.

@deepwoodslady I understand the struggle of wanting/craving sweets...it's horrible. My husband bought double salted black licorice when he was sick...it's a Dutch thing. Lol. While it has medicinal components, it kills my sweet tooth.2

Ok, let's get this done. I have been "here" before and reached my then target weight (185). Then minor injuries, the dark days of Covid, and sloth took over! So here I am again. Interesting that my MD did not seem to care that I am 5 years older and right back to my heavy weight...But I care. Baby steps.

@theresab88 I have never heard of that but I know that, unlike most folks, I absolutely LOVE black licorice in general. I didn't know there were medicinal properties to it? I am going to google that and find out more. In regards to cravings of any kind.....that's what is so hard to overcome. I think the secret is moderation and I haven't conquered that quite yet.1 -

The medicinal components are that. It might cause hypertension, lack of kalium and should be consumed in moderate quantity. But alot of people me included feel like it's soothing of nausea. A coworker claim that the reason I sometimes crave it is because I occasionally have low blood pressure. But it is really good.2 -

Hi. I’m down 1.5 lbs this week. Happy to be in the 160’s again. It’s been a long time. Overall, I feel better. I’m not gasping for breath going up a flight of steps anymore. Im so glad I finally made up my mind to commit to this journey. Complaining about it wasn’t working for me. This is a better approach. And thank you to all of you here for your support. It does help keep me on track. Until next week…
