Hi! I have been a member of Myfitnesspal in one form or fashion for years! I have had great results at times but since suffering a few losses in my family I have lost my mojo in a couple of ways. I gained one hundred pounds in the past 8 years. I let 63 pounds slip up during COVID. Now, I am in the place that my hips hurt me when I walk or sit at my job for an extended period. I have not had health insurance in 2 years and now I am paying an enormous amount through the marketplace ($400 a month just for me! Is that typical? I am going to try to see a few specialists and then I may have to drop it. Anyway, just to say, I am doing this weight loss thing on my own. I would love to get tips on eating healthy on a limited income. Just as an aside, I don't live alone! I am the proud Mama of my 19-year-old daughter who is on the mid-high level of the Autism Spectrum. She is amazing - witty, energetic and a picky eater. She only eats about 5 things. I have spoiled her in the past few years by almost exclusively getting her take out. She is not thrilled that we are going to be eating food prepared at home. So where should I start?

Is there a group or forum or something that's a catch all on topics? I haven't been on MFP in a very long time. I believe it's different now. Thanks.0
