Hi, I'm a 50 yo married female, 5'6", and tired of looking and feeling like I do. I’m making changes to get out of the Obese category, to look good in my clothing, and to have confidence in public again.

Heaviest Weight: 221 | Ultimate Goal Weight: 165
    Starting Weight Aug 2023: 212.7 | Sep 2023: 207.1 |

    October Goals:
    Lose 2 lbs. | Consistently log food | Bike &/or Treadmill 4 days a week | Aim for 7 hours sleep/day

    Oct 1: 205.5
Oct 2: 206.4 - A bit more sodium yesterday, and a piece of Naan. It was good, I'm just paying for it.
Oct 3: 205.4 - Going to try a different workout, and focus on me today.
    Oct 4: 204.9
    Oct 5: 204.6
Oct 6: 205.4 - Sodium up last night, but this will go down again. Feeling good overall.
    Oct 7: 204.9
Oct 8: 204.0 - I expected 2 lbs up this morning, so that might hit tomorrow. We splurged a bit yesterday.
    Oct 9: 205.4 - Yup.
Oct 10: 206.1 - Ugh. I have been off my exercise game lately. Definitely time to get moving.
    Oct 11: 205.4
Oct 12: 205.1 - I am prioritizing the workouts this week. I want this number to go down.
    Oct 13: 205.6
Oct 14: 207.1 - I even waited a couple more hours before coffee/meds to weigh myself, hoping sleep would trim this down. But no. Salty yummy food, I love you, and I hate you.
Oct 15: 207.8 - This morning I definitely about threw the scale. Some of this is week-before-cycle bloat (clothes are tight when they were great 2 days ago). Some I assume is still sodium related. The rest is that I dared stray from eating salad and chicken and the 10 foods I eat all the time. Tomorrow I will 100% be back on plan. Today I'm giving myself a damn break. I'm grumpy. I'm tired.
Oct 16: 208.9 - This has to be water retention. I even worked out yesterday.
    Oct 17: 208.7
    Oct 18: 207.5
Oct 19: 205.7 - No cycle, but at least the water retention is less. This round really damaged my mindset too. I felt afraid to post my weight, felt fake for posting because it just looks like I'm off plan when I wasn't. Just glad the number is better.
Oct 20: 205.8 - couldn't shave that .1 no matter how many times I stepped on the scale. :D
    Oct 21: 205.8
    Oct 22: 205.5
    Oct 23: 206.8 Grr.
Oct 24: 207.5 -- Some monthly/TMI stuff at work here. I b*tched all my adult years about a clockwork monthly cycle, but this menopause shtuff is for the birds. Either give me back my regular cycle or shut this down, please. I'm glad there isn't any chocolate/candy in this house (well, the unopened bag of harvest corn is still there), or this number would be much worse.
    Oct 25: 208.7
    Oct 26:206.5
    Oct 27: 205.3
    Oct 28: 204.1
Oct 29: 204.4 - I'm going to try to keep this or below. I'm happy I'm back to this number, but I really want to see 199 or less by the end of the year.
    Oct 30: 206.5 🤬

10/29-185.6-(Trend Weight 185.5)- Well, I did get a wrench thrown into yesterday’s plans. Dear Foodie Daughter ended up taking me out to dinner before I babysat DGS. It was nice of her but I am not a size 2 like her. Of course, she doesn’t tell me what to order or whether to clean my plate so it ultimately falls on me and my habits. Boy oh boy, I still have a lot to change! Even more than I’d hoped. It’s a long and winding road, isn’t it?

You've been doing great, and continue to do great and be an inspiration for this group. And I bet it was good food, too. If life ended tomorrow, you'd probably be fine with the fact that you had a wonderful meal catching up with your daughter, and calories be d*mned. I hope you had a wonderful meal and fun being out. The numbers will come down again. <3

    Starting weight September 1: 141

    Goal weight for October: 132.8

    October 1: 136.2
October 2: 137.0 I logged 👍 Wow, my weight can really spike up quickly. On Sept 30 I was 134.8. Now 2.2 lbs higher. But this is not a surprise. On Sept 30 my mom took me out to lunch; and the mac & cheese was sooooo bad. I just had to go home and make mac & cheese to go with dinner, the proper way, with all the butter and flour and cream cheese and buttery bread crumb topping. And I ate too much of that mac & cheese. And then yesterday we had a long party with friends, and there was a ton of great food & wine. So I overdid it there. So, now back to the plan. My goal is to get back at daily logging & daily meeting my calorie goal, AND to drink lots of water. Cycle day 1 should be right about now too, so the weight could stay here or go up again. Just going to get back to the plan and try to stick with it from here!
    October 3: 137.0 I logged 👍
    October 4: 136.8 I logged 👍
    October 5: 135.2
    October 6: DNW
October 7: 135.2 Had crazy crazy days both Thursday and Friday...
    October 8: 134.8
October 9: 135.0 I've been super slack with logging. But I am signed up for my very first 5K tomorrow, so that's exciting. This will be a run/walk for me. For about a month I've been working on it and now I can run up to about 3-4 minutes intermittently with about 1-2 minutes walking, for about 25 minutes. I never believed I could run for 3 minutes straight, so this is a huge improvement. Hopefully I won't wake up sick or something (there is sickness going through the house.)
    October 10: 134.4 I logged 👍
    October 11: 134.6 I logged 👍
    October 12: 135.2 Awwww, I'm kinda disappointed.
    October 13: 136.0 -Sigh.-
October 14: 135.8 Looks like today or tomorrow will by Cycle day 1... that seems to explain some things with my hunger and eating the last couple days and, uh, some moodiness, LOL! Perimenopause is interesting... I never know what's going on.
    October 15: 137.0
    October 16: 136.4
    October 17: 136.4
October 18: 135.6 I logged 👍. Could be worse, considering I haven't been logging and I keep eating too much. I keep getting hungry and eating over my calorie goal, and then I just throw in the towel. My goal for the rest of the month is to stop with that perfectionism and to keep logging even if I'm going to be way over on calories. Also, more protein in the early afternoon might help with my afternoon cravings.
    October 19: 134.6 I logged 👍
    October 20: 135.0 I logged 👍
    October 21: 134.8 I logged 👍
    October 22: 134.0
    October 23: 135.8 I logged 👍
    October 24: 134.4 I logged 👍
    October 25: 134.2 I logged 👍
October 26: 134.2 Today and Sunday will be my challenges for the end of the month. MIL is serving us one of her big delicious dinners today, and Sunday we have a potluck plus a party. My goal for today is to enjoy MIL's dinner without going over my calorie goal, just logging with educated guesses from the database.
October 27: 134.2 I logged 👍 Yesterday I logged until dinner and saved as many calories as possible for dinner. Then at dinner I just tried not to overdo it.
October 28: 133.8 Yes! I did a little dance by the scale this morning.
    October 29: 133.0 I logged 👍
October 30: 133.0 Yesterday was a very nice day with a potluck plus a party. Logging was mostly educated guesses. I know I went over on calories and probably ate close to maintenance. Today my goal is to eat kind of light and drink lots of water.
I will share something I made that was a huge huge hit yesterday: Bacon Wrapped Smokies. They are so easy and really good. They are great for parties or special occasions. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/69919/bacon-wrapped-smokies/ They are about 65 calories per smokie.

Wise words my friend. We all are too hard on ourselves when we have an obstacle, and don't give ourselves enough credit for our successes! ❤️

    @ManifestingToday and @ddainiak

Thanks so much for the encouraging words. The bloat from that meal is gone today and I am mentally in a much better place. You are both right. The special time with friends and family is more important than anything else. The consistency and persistence pays off in the long run all by itself. We don't have to give up life's important times, making memories, or even life's little pleasures to be successful. If we hop off the train, we just gotta hop right back on. Nothing stops a speeding train!

10/30-183.0-(Trend Weight 185.2)- I started my journey weighing 253 lbs after quitting smoking in 2007. It is very difficult to admit that I have been horribly overweight for 16 years! After losing around 35 pounds on my own, I joined MFP in 2018. Today marks my lowest weight since 2018….183. lbs. And I have hit that number twice this month. During 2018 I also hit my lowest of 174.0 on October 4, 2018. I was so proud of that though I struggled to keep the weight in the 170’s and early 180’s. The covid shut-down really got me and up I ballooned, back to around 211/212. So back to the battlefield I have come to fight my obesity, my diabetes and all my weight related health issues. My next longer term goal is to get to 173 point anything to beat my lowest number in 2018. It will still be a long way off from my ultimate goal of the 140’s which, for most of my life (until I quit smoking), has been my normal weight. One stop on this train ride at a time, right? Next stop…..182’s. Today I will open the bags of little candy bars, mini rice krispy treats and yummy raspberry cereal bars to make the special bags of candy for my grandchildren. Everyone else coming to the door will be getting a Capris Sun drink pouch to help them along their thirsty little ways. I must focus on not eating any of those miniature candy bars, no matter how small and innocent they seem to me.

I just got back from Switzerland. My husband and I were there visiting our son for five days. I am feeling re-energized to tackle my health. We didn't see any obese people there. We did see many people jogging and riding their bikes and walking, of course. Going to jump back in so that I can hit the ground running for the November challenge.

    Monthly Habits:
    Log all my food 🥙
    Work out 3x/week 🏃‍♀️
    8 glasses of water💧
    Self Care Activity 🧶

    Sept weightloss: 6.7 lb.
Oct. Monthly goal: lose 2 pounds

1: 🥙🏃‍♀️🧶forgot to check in yesterday but the month is off to a good start 🧡
2: 🥙🏃‍♀️💧 feeling great and taking the time to focus on how good I feel when I take better care of my body.
    3: 🥙💧
    4: 🥙
5: 🥙💧 long day at work, but instead of vegging on the couch with a snack I did my skin care routine and called out an early night. Tomorrow is a new day.
    6: 🥙🧶
    7: 🥙🧶
8: 🥙🧶🏃‍♀️💧I hit all of my goals today ❤️ A great weekend with the family
9: 🥙🧶💧🏃‍♀️ hit all my goals today, even if my walk was interrupted by a sudden rainshower. Looking forward to fall activities and don't mind the rain as the trade off 🎃
10: 🥙💧 late night of fall baseball and then target runs to prep my teen for homecoming. Definitely went too long without eating and then ate an oceans worth of fishsticks. Heading to bed and starting over tomorrow
    11:🥙🧶💧
12:🥙🧶💧🏃‍♀️ I will never not be humbled by a zumba class. I went to my second one today and man it was so fun, but I accidently looked in the mirror and I looked like an electrocuted jellyfish every time I waved my arms...
13:🥙🧶 went over my calories and missed some goals, but the day was good despite it and I'm excited for a whole weekend free ❤️
    14:🥙🏃‍♀️
    15: 🥙🏃‍♀️💧🧶
16: 🥙💧🧶 I'm celebrating 30 days of consistent tracking. I'm trying to focus on what things feel sustainable, and what can make my weightloss a long term change. I love the classes at the gym, and how much easier my mornings are when I meal prep. I like that I don't feel stuffed when I'm done eating and that I can tell the difference when I've drunk enough water. I'm looking forward to what I notice at day 60 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
    17: 🥙
    18: 🥙🧶
    19: 🥙
20: 🥙🧶💧🏃‍♀️ hit all my goals today and had a Halloween movie night with the kids 🧡
    21: 🥙🧶💧🏃‍♀️
22: 🥙🏃‍♀️ Today was the first big event I've gone to since I started calorie counting. I was worried because these often come with hours of snacking and then a big dinner and lots of desserts. Today had that, but I was able to pick what I wanted without feeling the urge to constantly go back for more. It felt like a personal victory to walk away feeling comfortable and not over stuffed.
    23: 🥙🧶💧🏃‍♀️
24: 🥙🧶 Last month I wore a favorite belt that was so snug I had to take it off half way through the day and stash it in my purse. Today I wore it and it was not only comfy but a little loose!
    25: 🥙
    26: 🥙
27: 🥙💧 over did it at a girl's night out with my sisters but had a blast. I feel full but not stuffed and I wasn't going back for a bunch, which is progress.
28: 🥙💧🏃‍♀️ went to the best spin class this morning 🚲
29: 🥙 a rainy day with a sick kiddo. Thank goodness I love at the same time as grocery pick ups and Amazon lol

Hello I'm Darlene and have been with this group for a few months now; my favorite support group on MFP. Retired, 63-year-old. Married (Greg), one adult daughter (Allyson), and one goldendoodle (Monty).

    My goals for October🍂 :
Lose 4 pounds (always my goal) - BUT I am only 6 pounds away from getting out of the obese category - so setting a stretch goal to get there by the end of the month. Usually if I announce something I do it so . . . .. fingers crossed. ⚖️
Hit my orignal 1,960 mile goal. I am on a mission to get 2,023 miles in 2023, when I first started my goal was 1,960 - a good year. When I realized that I would achieve this early changed it to 2,023. 🏃‍♂️
    17K Steps daily 👣
Drink 6-8 Glasses of Water Daily 💦
    Strength Train 3 days a week 💪
Tai Chi or Some Stretching exercise 1 day a week 🧘
    Log daily 📝
Stay under my calorie range 🥗
    Read daily 📖
Do something creative or fun daily 🧶 🖍️ 🎮
    ⚖️ 🏃‍♂️👣💦💪🧘 📝🥗 📖 🧶 🖍️🎮

Weight Loss to Date: 53.8 Pounds
    September Ending Weight: 174.2

    🎃👻🍂Happy October!🎃👻🍂

    Oct 1: 😁 173.8 A good start 👣💦📝 🥗 🎮
    Oct 2: 😁 173.4 👣💦💪📝🥗 📖 🖍️ 🎮
Oct 3: 173.4 👣💦📝🥗 📖 🖍️ 🎮 The Hogwarts challenge that I am in has an assignment this week to run/jog for 20 minutes. It doesn't have to be in one session. Years ago, I did the Couch to 5K and jogged a 5k on my 50th birthday (a time when I was almost at my goal weight). I thought about doing that again, but when I tried earlier this year my knees couldn't take it. I thought I would try again when I lost 60 pounds - I'm not quite at 60, but close - I guess this was a sign that I should try again. Yesterday I did day one, and it was fun. Keeping my fingers crossed because I really did love it.
    Oct 4: 173.6 👣💦💪📝🥗 📖 🖍️ 🎮
    Oct 5: 173.4 👣💦 📝🥗 📖 🧶 🖍️🎮
    Oct 6: 😁173👣💦🧘 📝🥗 📖 🖍️ 🎮
    Oct 7: 😁172.6 👣💦 📝🥗 📖🖍️🎮
Oct 8: 172.6 👣💦💪 📝🥗 🎮 Happy with that - went out for a nice lunch, had a couple beers - it might be a day lag for the uptick - but happy that it stayed the same today.
Oct 9: 😁 172 👣💦📝🥗 📖 🧶 🖍️🎮 Not a very good night sleep - couldn't fall asleep so go back up - read, knitted, played games on my phone - finally went to bed at 3:00AM, and back up 6:00AM. It's bingo night with Mom tonight so up later than usual - thinking I'll need to take a nap today - we'll see how that plays out on the scale tomorrow.
Oct 10: 172 👣💦 📝📖 🎮 First day in forever I missed my calorie goal. Just a couple 100 over, but over just the same. It is my sister's birthday today - so had cake last night at bingo which put me over the top.
Oct 11: 😠 173.2 👣💦💪📝🥗 🧶 🖍️🎮 I guess Monday's overage, lack of sleep, and the fact that I was over on my sodium goal yesterday got me.
    Oct 12: 172.8 👣💦🧘 📝🥗 🎮
    Oct 13: 172.8 👣💦💪 📝🥗 🖍️
Oct 14: 😁171.6 👣💦🧘 📝🥗 🖍️Well that was a nice surprise. It will probably be short lived. Going out to dinner tonight with the whole family. My sister was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in the spring. She has finished her treatment and after surgery and three rounds of chemo - they think they got it all. Going out to celebrate. Going to Japenese Hibachi - am going to figure out this morning how to count it so that I can determine what I can eat for breakfast and lunch. Hoping to still stay under the calorie goal - but am sure the sodium will be over the top.
Oct 15: 173.4 👣📝📖 Won't give myself a sad face - fully expected, but was a great night celebrating. Here is a picture of the family - Unfortunately missing Allyson, we were supposed to go last wekend but my nephew and hubby were still covid positive, so couldn't go. She had a wedding this weekend, so we missed her.
Oct 16: 173.6 👣💪📝🥗 📖 🧶 🖍️🎮 Ok, now I need to get motivated - been over my sodium goal three days in a row AND two days in a row not drinking the water - gets me every time.
    Oct 17: 172.4 👣💦 📝🥗 🧶 🖍️🎮
    Oct 18: 172.6 👣💦💪 📝🥗 📖 🧶 🖍️🎮
    Oct 19: 172.6 👣💪 📝🥗 📖 🎮
    Oct 20: 171.4 😁 Finally! 👣💦📝🥗 📖 🖍️🎮
    Oct 21: 170.6 😁 👣📝🥗 📖 🧶 🖍️🎮
Oct 22: 171.2 👣📝 Started feeling crappy in the afternoon, got progressively worse - took a covid test - postive. ☹️ Might be out of commission for a few days.
    Oct 23: 171
Oct 24: 173.4 Sat on the couch all day again yesterday. Feeling crummy - ate all the wrong things. It's just temporary.
Oct 25: 172.2 🏃‍♂️📝🥗🧶 🖍️🎮 Feeling a little better - got a small walk in yesterday. Thank you all for your kind well wishes.
    Oct 26: 171.4 🏃‍♂️👣💦🧘 📝🥗 📖 🧶 🖍️🎮
Oct 27: 😁 170.4 🏃‍♂️👣💦🧘 📝🥗 🧶 🖍️🎮 Got in almost 11 miles yesterday on my fitbit; and my highest step date yet (26,830). I've only been over 25K a couple times this year. it felt wonderful this morning seeing the results on the scale. I've also been way under on my sodium goal which of course helps tremendously.
Oct 28: 171.4 🏃‍♂️👣💦💪🧘 📝📖 🧶 🖍️🎮 Went over on my calorie goal, hit the cookies last night after I woke up in the middle of the night. Today will be a tough one too, but fun. My daughter and I are going to see Potted Potter - a parady on Harry Potter. As many of you know, I am a huge Harry Potter fan, so this will be a big treat. Going out for dinner afterwards. Expect an uptick tomorrow.
Oct 29: 170.4 🏃‍♂️👣💦📝📖 🎭 That's a pleasant surprise. I had a simple breakfast and lunch, both small calories, but high in protein so I could save room for dinner. Still went over the calories, it might show up tomorrow. I need to resist all temptation between today and Tuesday to try to get those last .2 pounds to reach my monthly 4 pound goal. I can do it! The play was really cute and funny. Very silly; is it something you would see more than once - absolutely not. Should you pay more than $40 a ticket, nope (we got them for free - my sister got them as a casino compensation to lure her into the casino). But, that being said I thoughly enjoyed myself. I realized I didn't take credit for getting to 1,960 miles that was in my monthly goals. Met that challenge on October 25! 😉 I'm currently at 1,994 with a little over 28 miles to go.
Oct 30: 170.4 🏃‍♂️👣💦💪📝🥗 🧶 🖍️🎮 Bingo night with mom tonight, many will dress up for halloween, and they have fun activities tonight. I'm going to be a doctor, mom will wrap her head up in gauze and be my patient!
Oct 31: 169.6 😁 Woo Hoo! ⚖️ 🏃‍♂️👣📝🥗 🧶 🖍️🎮 Made my 4 pound goal by the skin of me teeth. Happy Halloween everyone. Resist those temptations! For the Hogwarts challenge that I am in we had to figure out the calories in our favorite candy or snack and then do a workout that burned more calories than that. It took an hour to work off a Baby Ruth. No, I didn't really eat it, but a hour work of exercise for 2 minutes of eating a candy bar - I'll think about that if I get the urge to get into the candy today.

    🎃👻🍂October Reflection🎃👻🍂

Down 4.6 pounds this month, got my monthly 4-pound loss by the skin of my teeth, on the last day of the month AND entered a new decade. Hoping to keep in in the 60’s which was a wonderful decade (the decade I was born in). I was wishing to lose just .6 more pounds so that I could get into the “overweight” category, but alas that will need to be an accomplishment for November. I am down 58.4 pounds to date. ⚖️

I logged 209 miles on my Fitbit, 2,007 year to date. I should make my goal on Thursday. When I first started this quest, my goal was to get to 1,960 (a good year). When I realized that I would actually be able to meet that goal and then some, I changed it to 2,023. I met the 1960 milestone on October 25. Hubby said as a reward for completing he challenge I should get the new fitness tracker that I have been eyeing. I ordered a Garmin Venue SQ. I got it a couple days ago and I am still trying to figure it all out. Wearing both trackers at the moment until I feel comfortable letting the Fitbit go (and I actually meet my goal). Greg will get the Fitbit. 🏃‍♂️👣

I started the couch to 5K program again. This time my knees are cooperating, I just started week 4 of the program (I actually do two weeks of each round instead of one).

I read the second book of the Percy Jackson series; which was on my daughters shelf of favorites. Can’t really get into them, so haven’t started a new book. I decided to go ahead with the sweater anyway – and use it as a at-home sweater. That being said, I haven’t been as motivated to get it done. Thinking maybe I’ll find a pattern for a dog sweater and put my sweater aside for a bit! The "me time" is an easy one - I can easily find a few minutes to play a game on my phone, or to color a picture - to be honest, I do it too much and am actually going to take that off my goals for next month! 📖🧶 🖍️🎮

I logged and stayed under my calorie range most days in October, but covid stopped me mid-month. Luckily it was a mild version, and I was only out of commission for about 5 days. Met my water goal most days as well (something I really have to focus on to get done). 📝🥗💦

November should be a very proud month for me. When I first started this journey, I didn’t know how successful I would be. I had tried numerous times to lose weight without success. My goals were small. First to get to one-derland, then to get to “overweight” – I should meet that in November (my new goal to get to 140!) First to walk the Airline Trail (62 miles), then to get 1,960 miles, then to get to 2,023. I should meet that in November (my new goal 2,400). I am hosting Thanksgiving this year, but that should be my only obstacle in November - so, I am very much looking forward to November and all it should bring! 🦃

@ddainiak I am so inspired by your story. Thank you for sharing. I do hope I am inspired enough to actually follow your lead!! I found out yesterday that I do indeed have a small tear in my meniscus. Physio is being recommended, possibly surgery, but really, losing weight will be the more effective course in the long run.

October 30: 133.0 I logged 👍 Yesterday was a very nice day with a potluck plus a party.

I’m a grandma from Ontario. 7 months ago my health really took a hit: diabetes, hbp, hardened arteries , arthritis, etc. Everything came on at once. I was heading for a stroke. Scared me into action.
I love this challenge, and the support and inspiration it brings.

Starting weight in March 2023: 230 lbs.
    Goal weight: 120 lbs.
    Height: 5’2”
    Total loss: 45 lbs.
End of Sept. weight: 187.8 lbs.
Oct. Goal: lose at least 4 lbs.

    Monthly Weight Loss:
    March-10 lbs.
    April- 8 lbs.
    May- 5 lbs.
June- 4.4 lbs. (trip to Europe)
    July- 5.6
    August-7 lbs. joined a ‘challenge’
    September- 2.6 lbs. ( sick)
    October- .4 lb. Gave up
    November-
    December-

Oct. 1- 188.4 up since yesterday
    Oct. 2- 187.6
Oct. 3,4,5,6 DNW holiday up north to see fall colours
    Oct. 7- 187:2
    Oct. 8- 186. I love this whoosh!
    Oct. 9- 185.8 today is Thanksgiving. I’ve prepared a feast!🦃
Oct. 10- DNW. Went nuts last night with leftovers and sweets
    Oct. 11 DNW leftovers
    Oct. 12 DNW leftovers
    Oct. 13 DNW leftovers
Oct. 14 187.4 damage is done, Holidays are tough. I hope I
handle Christmas better than I did Thanksgiving. I was good with the dinner, but not with the leftovers.
Oct. 15-30 DNW. (Took a break, difficulty with diet)
Oct. 31- 188 lbs. I can’t believe that I didn’t gain more weight this month. Even though I only lost .4 of a pound this month, I feel happy that I didn’t gain. I’ll weigh in tomorrow and see what happens. Kind of shocked considering my healthy eating habits went out the window since Thanksgiving. I went a little crazy. Also, I’m diabetic and have been dealing with some drug issues.
Sorry ladies that I didn’t check in the last 2 weeks. I’ll try harder for the next challenge. Congratulations to all of you that lost and did well. You’re an inspiration.🙂

Yesterday I attended my first, real, low impact aerobics class with a real teacher. (Not virtual). She’s an older lady that moved into my condo, but she has years of experience, and is very motivating. I’m thrilled she is teaching me. I’m the biggest one, stand in the last row, but I went even though I was nervous. A lot of the other women in the class are fit, tennis players, and a bit intimidating. However, I enjoyed the class immensely. I’ll go once a week from now on.

10/31-181.4-(Trend Weight 184.9)- I became pretty ill yesterday and I think it was from my exercise. I couldn’t eat much after that. For the last two days I have bumped my exercise bike up to 40-46 minutes instead of my normal 30. I do it in one sitting. Both days I’ve felt sick afterward and have ended up removing food from my pre-logging that I couldn’t eat. The one thing I learned from my cardiac rehab is to listen to my body. If it tells me something is wrong, then it is. Especially when exercising. So I am going to back down to 30 min or break longer amounts per day into 2 sets instead of one. I decided not to open the candy yesterday and make up the bags for the grandchildren. I was afraid it would be too tempting, so I will need to do that today. Even sick, I would eat chocolate. Even if it made me throw up later. I’m an addict. I checked my BMI this morning on a calculator that also takes age into consideration. I am at 30.3 which is still obese, but so very close to overweight. I need to be below 30. I’m excited to get there, hopefully soon! I’m down 6.8 lbs this month. My goal was 4 lbs but getting sick the last two days really pushed it much higher. Lots of progress for so many and I’m proud of us all. See you next round.

Donna, can you share the link to your BMI calculator? Mine doesn't seem to take age into consideration - and I think that would be a very important piece of the puzzle. Many thanks!

@ddainiak Calculator.net They have a lot of calculators. The one I used was called the BMI calculator. In case you have trouble finding the exact one, here's the link to it with my info inserted. Just change it to your info.

    https://www.calculator.net/bmi-calculator.html?cage=63&csex=m&cheightfeet=5&cheightinch=5&cpound=182&cheightmeter=180&ckg=65&printit=0&ctype=standard&x=Calculate

There is also another calculator in calculator. net that is interesting. It's called the Ideal Weight Calculator. Here is a link to that, again with my info inserted.

You'll see more fitness and health calculators listed on the right hand side of the page. Enjoy!
