    Hi All, I am a busy mother of five slowly working my way to my goal weight. During September I entered my "Normal" BMI category and am now about 10 pounds from my ultimate goal. This will be my 3rd month in this challenge. I had never weighed myself daily before this challenge, and I am finding it to be so helpful and informative to weigh and check in daily.

    My goal for November is to NOT GET DERAILED BY THANKSGIVING. ๐Ÿฆƒ ๐Ÿฅง ๐Ÿ˜Š Let me tell you, I can really get derailed by a holiday. I may or may not log on Thanksgiving or the day after, and that's OK. But my Thanksgiving goal is to log daily from Saturday the 25th through the end of the month.

    Starting weight September 1: 141.0

    Starting weight November 1: 132.8

    Goal for November: 130.4 Considering Thanksgiving, I'm setting my goal a tad on the conservative side.

    November 3: 131.4 I logged ๐Ÿ Very happy with today's weight. Over the past week there have been several days that I ate at maintenance, and a couple days I ate well over maintenance. It was hard to tell if I was needlessly eating more, or if I really needed the additional calories. I've already got my activity level set to almost the highest one, and I haven't even gone running or done any exercise for over a week. I guess I walk constantly around the house, dealing with the children and doing housework, always on my feet, and I frequently have to do up and down the stairs to deal with something or put something away, so maybe that burns a lot sometimes. For a while there I thought I was "failing" because I could not hit my calorie goal.

    ManifestingToday, can you explain the difference between discussions and groups to me? I've posted on your discussion (because it was the only helpful one that was up-to-date) and I joined a group of over 60 people (ditto), but navigating the community seems a bit crazy. I only do Facebook, so hashtags etc. are a mystery to me.

    Hopefully @HASWLRS explanation made sense. I've actually never used the Groups section of MyFitnessPal, so I don't have any expertise to share there. I've only read/responded to discussion threads like this one. And if a discussion thread is active, if you miss a day, it does take a bit of work to get caught up.

    Hello my names Brenda and live in Muskoka Ontario Canada 6 months and Bluffton South Carolina 6 months. Two grown children, one married and one teaching in the uk, and our 11 1/2 year old white lab Tucker. I lost 45 lbs and kept it off but itโ€™s starting to creep.     11/15-181.4-(Trend Weight 183.8)- I had a whole (very small) cheesecake left over from my trip this past weekend. I didnโ€™t want it to go bad/stale. I cut it into 4 chubby pieces and my son and I each had a piece yesterday. I fit it into my macros by choosing lower calorie/carb items for lunch and dinner. We will probably have the last slices tonight and it will be gone. I still canโ€™t throw away perfectly good food. Poor is a mentality and once poor, always poor in many ways. Itโ€™s just my upbringing but I wonโ€™t let it stand in the way. I can always juggle my macros in these instances, at least in theory. #workinprogress.

    11/16-179.6-(Trend Weight 183.4)- Thrilled, amazed and grateful to have hit the 170โ€™s today. I worked so hard yesterday on both diet and exercise to give myself the push I needed to get as close as possible. I have not hit the 170โ€™s in over 5 years, since Sept 2018 according to my MFP records. Last time I hit them, it was very short-lived. I never met my 145-155 goal. I never saw the 160โ€™s even. Almost immediately I started to slowly creep back up. I re-gained the most during Covid shut-downs in early 2020. Iโ€™m not going to get lax this time. I havenโ€™t met my goal yet in my weight, my size, my BMI or my blood glucose numbers. Everything is getting better but thereโ€™s still so much work ahead.

    I feel like crying ๐Ÿ˜ข. I was at a all time weight low yesterday and today Iโ€™m back to where I was 3 weeks ago. I donโ€™t know why I even bother trying to lose weight. My body just doesnโ€™t seem to want to lose more than 2 kgs . Iโ€™m devastated. I am trying but it just doesnโ€™t work. So sick of being fat.
