This is the one I want for myself.
Yes @kgirlhart !

Had no plan today. It was just a very nice day, and I ran without really thinking about anything. Turns out after this run I am at 2100 miles for the year.

I planned to run outside, but it got cloudy and windy, so I chose the treadmill. Nothing really to say about it, except it didn't feel too bad and I ran the last 1:48 at 6.0 mph. The overall pace of the run was faster than my usual at 12:54 min/mile.
I did get my Christmas tree up.
Don't judge. LOL6 -
@quilteryoyo hahaha love it! 😊3

Morning all... Got in a little over 7 1/2M (12K) at 09"24 pace.
Have a nice Sunday all...
I'm off to Costco to buy X Y Z and for next weekend/Xmas.
(Can't trust my sister/B-i-L with the booze and booze snacks!)8 -
I love the way Xmas trees sparkle thru the windows in many houses. So I have a little one just like that which I put on my window ledge in the front room most years so my house looks to have a tree sparkling as well.
Did not run yesterday but did get some walks in. Woke up with a migraine and tried the fresh air / walk route before I went to drugs. That did not work sadly. So no running plus why does my heel hurt all of a sudden like I banged it on something? These strange "things" seem to crop up randomly, We shall see if running is better today.
I did have a sinus DUMP yesterday evening so I suspect my headache is due to the weather / allergy changes.. Only about 8 miles left total to make my deliberate walk and run 2023 miles. Scott your mileage is incredible!!!!!7 -
Great run @tarun_yadavA . Have fun shopping. I don't know why, but it surprises me that you have Costco there.
I hope you are feeling better this morning @SummerSkier ! Incredible mileage.2 -
@quilteryoyo in addition to neighbouring Canada and Mexico.... UK, Australia + New Zealand, Japan + South Korea!
@Mari33a Costco in Ireland??
@SummerSkier glad to see you got a 5miler run in despite being down with a migraine yday4 -

Fast run. Wanted to know how long I can run by running a bit faster. The answer is 20 minutes Working on getting fitter. Second week of my 10k running programme done. 4 runs planned for next week.6 -
Just plugging along. A gorgeous day out today and SO happy that my head is not pounding again. My heel did hurt at the start but I decided to see if I could run thru it and altho I felt it the entire run it did nt get worse so 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ One of those mysteries of life. I am seeing a lot of folks with LONGGGGG mileage today. WOOP WOOP WOOP 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I am at about 68 out of 140 goal miles for the month. It is still possible I guess but I give it a 50 50 chance. LOL

*waves* checking in but pretty exhausted. Today was our club Backyard... I managed the 8 hours/loops, the last 3 were TOUGH and it took a lot of will power to keep moving and finish the 8th loop with a minute and a half to spare. I ran/walked/hobbled 53.2km altogether, making it not only my first real marathon distance (the marathon I ran in April was 1km short) but also my first ultra! I learned a lot and seeing how recovery goes will hopefully give me plenty of info to work with to plan for the official Backyard ultra I'm running in February. The guy who organised the one today tells me his course is tougher than the official one and I can probably manage a couple more loops there, but I have yet to decide whether or not I should or want to 🤣
The format is fascinating and means apart from the physical challenge it's a huge mental challenge, especially when you get tired and slow down and start worrying whether you'll finish a loop in time to refuel/refill and start the next! Yeah, I know, I'm crazy11 -
@eleanorhawkins I saw your backyard ultra on strava and that elevation is nuts! I know you do lots of big elevation runs but coming from a place where most of my runs don’t even hit 3 digits of elevation change, yours just seems unreal! Good work.
@quilteryoyo @tarun_yadavA I was also surprised at the presence of Costco. I didn’t realize they were in so many countries!7 -

Moved my long run to Sunday this week because I had to work yesterday morning and just couldn’t muster the desire to run for 2 hours in the afternoon. It was a lovely morning and I’m glad I didn’t force it yesterday. I pushed the pace a little more than I usually do and ended up averaging the same pace I ran during my current HM PR and ran negative splits. That gave me a lot of confidence in how this race will go since I wasn’t even fully pushing today. My watch thinks I can run a 2 hr HM, which seems a little ambitious but I guess we’ll see how things go with a little race day magic and a few more weeks of training.6 -

You are doing great @yirara !
I'm glad your headache was gone @SummerSkier ! I hope running didn't aggravate your heel.
You did GREAT @eleanorhawkins !
You are doing great @martaindale ! I think with the race adrenaline, under 2 hours is defiantly doable for you.
You are doing great too @project9percent ! Love the running group picture.

I had a nice 10.25 mile run today. It was chilly at the start at 43°F feels like 41° and warm at the end at 62°F. But it wasn't too cold or too hot and it was really a nice run. Unfortunately though, my husband tested positive for Covid yesterday, so now I am waiting to see if I will get it or not.

Morning everyone!
Got in 5M (at 09"23).
Happy Monday! ... off from Friday till Jan 2nd... ~4 1/2days to go...9 -
Great job @eleanorhawkins!
Thanks everyone for the kind words. *Hugs to all*
I introduced some Pennsylvania friends to cold water immersion and they got hooked. So it's gonna be a daily thing until I leave 🙃7 -

It was a chilly 39°F run today. I ran 6 miles and felt pretty good. I think I am finally starting to figure out how to dress for winter running.
@polskagirl01 That cold water immersion sounds just awful to me, but I think my husband would really like it. You are very tough to be able to do that.
Great job @eleanorhawkins! You are a beast!

In California we have that too, except we use hot water. We call it sitting in the Hot Tub.6 -

Did we miss something Chris? You pulling a Benjamin Button on us?0 -
@daria0919Did we miss something Chris? You pulling a Benjamin Button on us?
That one took me awhile to understand- I must admit. Nice red hair @chris_in_cal .
@martaindale You have been really doing well in your speed sessions. I definitely think you can do a sub 2 HM!
@eleanorhawkins Great job on the ultra! I am very impressed! It does seem like it would be a big mind game as soon as you start to get tired, but you made it! You should be really proud - and - as @martaindale pointed out - you had elevation gain every lap too!

I am still not really feeling good but went out for 10.3km this morning. I really needed the exercise just to refocus and take my mind off things, even if my body is still recovering from whatever bug(s) it has . The weather was also quite nice this morning. The sky was very pink and there wasn’t too much wind or mud .5
-
Yeah @chris_in_cal I did a double-take at your new profile pic 😁
Hope your run got you refocused @Laurz9191, and you start feeling better soon.
6.2 miles this evening. Surprisingly fast 10K for a Monday 😏
Didn't expect that after moving dirt for 2 hours yesterday.
But hit negative splits every mile. 2nd fastest 10K ever (missed last month's PR by 3 sec/mi)
