Yay! A year long challenge! I need this to stay engaged and accountable. I like the weekly check in and the year long plan to be able to set realistic goals. I am a 58 year old NP with a pretty crazy work schedule. I work 24 hour shifts, so you can imagine I can be up and trying to manage eating schedules at all weird hours of the day and night.
Goals for 2024: log food daily, weigh in daily as possible, get to the gym at least 2-3 times a week and drink more water instead of diet soda!
I am going on vacation at the end of Jan-early Feb so I want to at least get a head start and start walking more comfortably. I injured my knee last month and am still working that out.
Looking forward to watching everyone's progress!

Needing some accountability so here I am! 42F/5.5"/149 lbs.

My lowest weight was 136.6 in July and my first goal is to get back to that weight.
    Ultimate goal is 130 lbs.

I don't have the healthiest relationship with food and get obsessed over what I eat and tracking makes it worse so I've decided to be kinder to myself by just eating more mindfully and getting in some form of daily exersise. I've also been doing IF (18:6) and it's really helping with some of the "food noise".
I would like to weigh in weekly (Fridays) with everyone to keep track of results.

Jan 5 - 149.2 Weight hasn't budged but definetly feel better, sleeping better and less bloating from IF

43yo, married, 5'6". It's been about a decade since I've been fully on the wagon.. its long overdue so here I am. Need to lose 100+ but for 2024 I'll be quite happy if I could manage 50.

I'm actually in the process of switching back to my old account but waiting for a volunteer moderator to delete all my old posts first - so far my discussions are gone but still waiting on them to delete my replies. Once that happens I will be switching names - just a heads up!

Aiming at 2lb a week loss
Excercise has to be gentle due to back and hip issues but air walker
Is great for this as us the pool in the summer.

In the past, I have used the New Year as my starting point and came out blazing for the first few weeks. My weight-loss plan for 2024 started back in Sep 2023. So, even though my weight loss for this year seems slower than past attempts, I believe I will have better results than my broken New Year Resolutions of the past.

That said, "Talk is Cheap". Results are what counts, and I plan on using this group to help me be accountable for the coming year. I hope to see you all here each week as we approach our healthy goals.

    Start weight: 180.0 pounds
    Goal weight: 160.0 pounds

    Jan 1: 180.0
    Jan 8: 178.4 (-1.6)

My name is Donna. I am 63 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5’ 5” tall. My highest weight was 253 in 2016. My MFP start weight was 235 in 2018.

    Start Weight (from Dec 31st, 2023 ): 183.8
Goal Weight: 179.8 (4 pound loss)

    End of Challenge Weight: xxxxx
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (I’ll know it when I get there!)

Weight in blue makes me blue because it’s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because it’s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

01/01-181.6-(Trend Weight: 180.3)- Good luck everyone in the new round and in the new year! Remember, I am always in your corner and am one of your biggest cheerleaders. Lets take 2024 by storm!

01/08-179.8-(Trend Weight: 181.2)- I had quite the overnight whoosh. I shed a lot of water most of the day yesterday (for whatever unknown reason) and I finally had TMI (in the middle of the night) last night, all of which graced the scale this morning. It’s encouraging and just goes to show that we must be patient with our bodies and our results. If we keep up our good habits, it will show up on the scale and on the tape measure in due time.

    01/15-xxxxx-(Trend Weight: xxxxx)-
    01/22-xxxxx-(Trend Weight: xxxxx)-
    01/29-xxxxx-(Trend Weight: xxxxx)-
    01/31-xxxxx-(Trend Weight: xxxxx)-

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!
