Pip - I love the new furniture layout, it lets in more natural light and the room seems bigger.

Debbie that Godzilla is very “realistic.” Could your DH use the 3D printer to make Halloween/CosCon masks?
Pip I didn’t believe “last project” til saw your response to Ginny. Tell us about your new ride?
Welcome @jenniferinga Jen in GA! Be sure to take your measurements, sometimes when the scale is stuck the tape measure is your friend.
Michelle in NV “…baby’s room in Godzilla?” That would give me nightmares! Brava on the decluttering!
April your reaction to yoghurt is how I used to react to most full fat dairy… insufficient lactase to break down the whole fat chains. If it was cheese or yoghurt I could tolerate it but ice cream, you could set your watch, 20 minutes and I’d be in the bathroom. Now my body has changed, yoghurt (and cottage cheese) have the opposite effect so there goes my high protein breakfast. Foo. Have you investigated milk thistle for liver support?
Michele sorry to confuse, the root beer jelly is just jelly, no chocolates… but now that you mention it a chocolate covered root beer jelly candy WOULD be yummy !
Tracey you and pip, I am so jealous of your re-decorating talents. And Lisa I am really looking forward to the “after re-arrangement” pics.
Allie what Lisa said. You can do this!
Annie what Michele and others said. Well done for getting back on the bike and exercising the “what you want most” muscle.
Heather Brava for your determination to not just discover but treat your leg pain. Like Ginny I’m curious about your medical friend’s “rubbish” comment and her take on your pain.
Later, lighter, lovelies!

April - I know that the tree pollens here are going gangbusters, but may not be the same where you are... I've never had a respiratory reaction to a foodstuff, but I guess it's possible! I do know that yogurt throws me for a digestive loop, unfortunately, whereas I don't have nearly the same response to cheeses. Cottage cheese is up in the air, still trying to figure it out, honestly.
Michelle NV - So pleased to see that everyone's decluttering has been inspiring!
Regarding decluttering:Decluttering has been part of my life for the last year, and every time has been satisfying. With my craft room, it was rearranging furniture, organizing and getting my old office supplies donated. For the most recent reshuffle of rooms, we reorganized three different rooms with a few moves, and decluttered all of them, with few items actually leaving, just going where they belonged. When I went through all the closets, I was finally able to get rid of all the plastic bins that we've used to move over the last 15 years together (easily 50 in every possible size), and probably five car trunks full of donations.
Each one made me happy. My own next one is decluttering my electronic life, getting rid of all the work files that I no longer need, and reorganizing my writing life and history. Becoming ruthless with all these things has provided enormous weight off me, both physically and mentally. I've watched Heather do it in even smaller chunks, with similar joy in the doing.
Something Barbie has said in the past is that she took something that matters and took an image of it, then let it go. I think that's in my future, but I genuinely don't keep a ton of keepsakes, so that's still down the priority list. I've made my family, my kids and grandkids crocheted afghans and quilts I've made for them, so those, I think, will outlive me, and that makes me happy. They don't need my tchotchkes.
Anyway, I'm trying to think about anything except my morning coming up. Thanks for listening...
Love y'all,

What is your calorie count at the end of the day?2 -
Deb, Eating at least 1200 calories of high nutrition food is a good goal. If you've reached that, then don't fuss about it. I found that when I seriously increased my exercise, I was hungrier or I felt faint or dizzy if I didn't eat more. Don't just eat because you think MFP wants you to.

Yes, he has made masks in the past. With the two largest printers he has now, He can make them in one piece. The others were made in four or more pieces.
He has also made cosplay helmets- BattleStar Galactica and Power Rangers

Michelle - that is quite the accomplishment!
Annie - my scale has to sit in exactly the same spot or it shows me a difference of 4-5lbs. I’ve been thinking of getting another one. Maybe I need to for actual numbers.
My pants are tight, so I know my weight is up though.
Lisa - Corey just keeps moving and doing. It’s sounds like a lot, but so rewarding.
I hope all the medical stuff this week is not too distressing.
Lanette - I have always enjoyed decorating and putting things in order. The house I grew up in did not have a closet and until I was 8 only open shelving for cupboards. My Mom didn’t have anywhere to put anything and was not one to throw things out. I remember being quite young decorating my room it was my little piece of sanity. I can handle a mess for a period, but then it’s all out until it’s straightened. I just can’t function for long in chaos. It may be my Virgo tendencies, or it was out of necessity because of the rest of the house. 🤷♀️
The more we talk about the teleporter the more I want it.
I can picture us all gathered around each other when we are going through something. The fun stuff too.
Barbara - it sounds like a wonderful day.
April- you are doing so well at figuring out what’s working and what’s not. I need to start logging again. I am really not doing myself any favours.
Barbie - I so love your posts. You are so wise.
Pip - where is your pretty wing back chair now?
It looks lovely.
Lauryn and the Grands came for a visit. Michaela wanted to design a new phone case. She has my old iPhone, she has a couple of games and most importantly, for her, music on it.
She designed and made this 90% by herself.
She also helped me make supper, making the caeser salad all by herself. She’s growing up way too fast.
I finished the other side of my arch today and put designs on the tins. Michaela chose the design we used.
I need to find something to do with Jonah when he’s here. He’s at a difficult age to engage.
I sent enough leftovers with them that their dad would have supper and they would have lunch tomorrow.
I’m now watching American Idol. I’m so happy my music competition shows are coming back. The Voice starts in two weeks.
I have tomorrow off school, I’m going to figure out another project to start. I’m thinking it will be my table.
I have been putting this off for so long.
It’s intimidating me a bit. I think because it’s so important to me.

If anyone is interested in seeing my elder son Tom joshing around with his mates, you can watch them exploring Taiwanese ration packs on YouTube.. It is quite a laugh 😃

Last night we watched the Princess Bride ... mainly so we could see the sword fighting scene(s). 🙂
Tonight we're listening to Hans Zimmer ... I've got 6 hours of his music.
Today I went to work and ended up in back-to-back-to-back meetings from 11 am until 2:45 pm. I did finally get about 10 minutes at about 2:20 pm to dash to the toilet and quickly make lunch. Thank goodness! And the last meeting was shorter than anticipated.
I didn't get as much of a walk or as many stairs in as I had hoped.

Pip-we cross posted and I didn't see new living room arrangement-it looks much more open. My living room doesn't give alot of furniture placement choices.
Deb 23-the actual calorie count would help. I find I do much better by actually weighing my food instead of using teaspoons etc.-it is easy to be way off. Like Barbie said, you need at least 1200. I have gone through patterns of not eating enough and that can work against weight loss. The amount you need will also be impacted by your current weight. How close are you to your goal weight?
Debbie-I have to admit I do not understand 3-D printing at all, but the things your DH makes look great!
Tracey-wall looks very nice. Micki is adorable and very creative. Good luck with Jonah-it seems they all end up needing something different to keep them occupied.
Terri-the shamrock always makes me smile!
Slept fairly well last night. Sorting out some more stuff today to get house cleaned up for kids' visit next month. Living by myself I have gotten in a bad habit of stacking things. Am also going to shampoo living room rug. Will wait until I get full sun in living room so I can see what I am doing! Temperatures are moving upwards so nice walking weather also. Will also put some chicken breast in crock pot-balsamic chicken. Have dinner out one night this week so the pack of chicken will cover my dinners. Have the soup to take for lunches.
Off to get started.
Take care all,

Heather ... these were my suggestions (in the spoiler) regarding your legs from October 2022. I'm surprised you haven't been to the doctor insisting on getting tested for these things before now ... it's been 1.5 years! But I am glad you've started to pursue it more. Hopefully you'll find a solution.cityjaneLondon wrote: »Is Facebook Messenger the same thing as WhatsApp? Just a different name? We do also have Messenger, but i rarely use it. WhatsApp is encrypted.
My legs are having a flare up the last couple of days. Makes sleep more difficult, and they feel weaker when I'm walking, though they still have the same strength. It is very annoying, but my doctor had no idea. I think it is this autoimmune thing, because it comes and goes.
Birthday lunch today. We had to wait until today because they only open from Thursday to Sunday. I'm not feeling entirely enthusiastic with my legs hurting, but I'm sure I will enjoy it when I get there. I know DH would like to walk both ways, but I will bus nearly there and hope to walk back. It's around 3 miles. In 'The Lanes', Petit Pois.
Mouse still absent.

On weighing food ... you've probably all seen this as it has been around a while. But it's a good reminder.
What do you think 100 calories of nuts looks like?
https://www.thekitchn.com/a-visual-guide-to-100-calories-of-nuts-snack-tips-from-the-kitchn-201778
The article linked above goes on to explain and show what 100 calories of several different kinds of nuts actually looks like.
Here's a sample ... both eye-opening and a bit depressing. It's easy for me to knock back about 600 calories of nuts in a sitting. I've had to cut them out of my diet almost entirely.

Good morning ladies!
Machka I'm with you on the nuts. A serving only whets the appetite. Sad because they have some nutrition.
Pip I love the new arrangement. You made good use of the window - looks like a cozy spot.
Lisa hope your appointments go well. Good luck with the health system.
Thank you all for your comments and support! I really appreciate having you all with me on this journey.
My aunt who had pneumonia at 88 years old is doing much better. They "discharged" her from the virtual hospital. They took their comms equipment back and discontinued the nurse remote visits.
Today my scale is reading 184.1, so that validates the lower number. Yay! Now I just have to make it through lunch in a restaurant. I'm thinking of salmon. If it's a large portion, I can use half for Dad's dinner tonight. It might just be a cheat day. I saved a few calories from yesterday. We will see how it balances out.
I hit eight glasses of water yesterday! Wow but that's a lot for me. I didn't realize how much I had slacked off. Hint: MFP does track water, you just have to find it!
Noom is still really good at encouragement. But I'm not going to continue past the trial. This kickstart portion will end, and who knows what they will have afterwards? Plus the robot praise wears thin. Except they might offer me a deal when I try to cancel. Otherwise it's too expensive.
I started reading the Rubin book on habits yesterday. Great book! I don't know myself as well as I need to for this.
Today I will have yogurt at 9:00, then go upstairs and dress, then go downstairs and bike. That is
my target routine to establish.
And my habit to break is stress eating, particularly going to my chocolate when Dad frustrates me.
So have a lovely day my friends!

Lanette, had to go back to find your teleporter comment... thank you for the thought, and yep, it's the only long-distance travel form I would willingly indulge in these days. I'll have everyone here in my pocket with me, I always do. My stress about it is honestly that, while I do not like people touching me, the uneasiness is just that there's an appointment! My distraction levels have me unnerved, afraid I'll get caught up in something and forget I have an appointment. It's never happened, and I just need to cool my jets... but haven't been able to so far. We are all a work in progress, are we not?
I'm pretty sure of the outcomes, it's just a matter of juggling all the necessaries and deciding if surgery is a valid option with everything else that's going on, and what that timing will be. If you go to ask a surgeon and have any hope that he WON'T prescribe surgery to cure your ills, you picked the wrong guy to ask. It's pretty much the only tool he has in his toolkit.
Anyway, killing a little time until I pull out at 7:30 a.m. for my 8:15 appointment. Going around all the traffic, literally skipping over the line into Oklahoma and then back into Arkansas again to go around the city. By the time I emerge from my appointment, most of the traffic will be done, so I can do whatever else I'm willing to risk another blowout to do. Hopefully not a thing today. Friday's fun adventure made me lose four pounds, but not the way I wanted to lose them! My kit and full set of clothes has been refilled and is ready to go.
Okay - time for brushing teeth, deciding if I can get away with my hair or need a ball cap, finding some earrings, and then off to the races.
Love y'all,
Lisa in AR8
