I went a little over on my calories yesterday, but I did stay within my low-carb macros so I'm very happy with that.
    WooHoo! I'm done tweaking! 😂🤣
With this being my 1st full week back on track, I've been tweaking my weekly goals, daily macros and so on, just kind of fine tuning them and I think I'm finally done. Now I just have to see if my 'plan' works.
I guess I'll find out on weigh-in days. (tomorrow being one of them ack! 😋)
I did opt to remove the IF eating schedule from my plan. I much prefer calorie cycling between low and high calorie days by itself with no restrictions on the time of day I can eat those calories.

    😝Just for Today ~ 04/11/2024😝

▪️ Log All Food & Drink

305 lbs, urrrggg! this was me, New Year Day, 2023, at my highest weight ever recorded.
Through diet and exercise I lost approx. 50 lbs.
However, halfway through the year I quit! I have no valid excuses to offer up.
I just QUIT! I went back to a life of eating crap and sitting around most of the day.
As a result I regained almost everything I had lost.

Didn't log yesterday, didn't post goals, didn't even go to work yesterday. I think I'm just worn down and saddened by recent events. Chalking it up to a mental health day. I do feel a bit better today physically and emotionally.

Work has been busy today, and I had to leave for an hour so I could take hubby to the infusion center. It's turning into a long day. I think I have one more meeting for the day, and it's more of a Meet & Greet than anything else. One of the gubernatorial candidates from the state is coming by our site today. The other 3 candidates are also planning on coming this month or next. I don't know much about the one today, but a couple of them are so far right they scare me. Their ads are all about their hatred for the LBGTQ+ community and their love for guns and Trump. These are the ads they are using to persuade people to vote for them. Just baffles me that my state will likely choose one of the Trumpers. I mean I get that it is a conservative state, but damn some of these candidates are looney.

    JFT Thursday
    - Work by 7:45
    - Meetings
    - Tim to infusion center
    - Back to work

    • Try new recipes Unfortunately, no wall oven until mid-Feb or later & sad me, but try slow cooker & stove recipes... wall oven installed 2/26 but no new recipes yet.

    6) Participate in my favorite area races ~ I walk, I do not run

    • Register for my other usual events, and add other possible events

    • Always a good idea
    8) Make efforts to keep in touch with parents, siblings and friends (most live in other towns or states)

    Recap 4/11 R ~ cloudy & rain showers
    1) Make homemade spaghetti for supper / no snacks / log all food / 64+ oz. water :s ok at meals, but TOO much snacking ~ ack!
    2) At least 7,500 steps
    3) Grocery shopping / wash dishes / read / digital declutter / other? defrost 2 loaves zucchini apple bread, rearrange freezers  ta-da!

    JFT 4/12 F
    1) Log all food / limit snacking / 64+ oz. water
    2) Walked dog 3.66 mi  very windy this morning, even windier this afternoon, so I'm happy dog walk is done & happy dog
    3) Put away clean dishes / slice & package bread for tomorrow's rally breakfast / final prep for rally stuff / call Mom & arrange next overnight visit / text sister / read / digital declutter / go to bed EARLY so alarm isn't such a jolt / other?

Tomorrow is spring rally for Women in Missions, and it's our turn to host at our church for the district/zone/whatever. I've never been to one before, but the agenda looks very good; our choir director, whom I love, is the guest speaker. I'm handling the registration table with one other lady, something I've lots of experience with from another org, so I'm ok with that. But due to the Father/Daughter Dance tonight, we can't do any set-up until tomorrow a.m. and K has asked us to arrive 7 a.m. (ugh) to decorate tables (which thankfully, the dads have said they will set up after the dance for us), set out breakfast foods and prep luncheon foods. Hopefully the zone pres will arrive early enough with the sign-in checklists (I liked it better when I had control of that stuff). In the end, I'm sure everything will work out. Because the food will be so much guesswork for me, I've decided I won't log food tomorrow, but will do my best to eat appropriate portions. Not sure if I'll feel much like walking dog when I finally get home in the early or mid-afternoon (not sure how much work to do after lunch, I'm still learning).

    5# Challenge (ends May 1):
    SW 184 on 3/18/24
3/23/24 = 182.5 most likely sodium/water drop plus keeping portions proper
3/30/24 = 182 working hard to clean house & prep food for Easter dinner, no dog walks for one week due to that & weather
4/6/24 = 184 too many Easter treats & too few dog walks due to nasty weather

    • Post weekly weigh-in on MFP for accountability. Saturday a.m. is my "official" weigh-in day, and I track daily on a separate app (for the visual). My digital scale only shows half pound increments & I'm too cheap to buy a fancier scale.
    • Take measurements & log on MFP every month end
    2) Plan meals most days & prelog meals/snacks whenever possible on MFP
    • Try new recipes Unfortunately, no wall oven until mid-Feb or later & sad me, but try slow cooker & stove recipes... wall oven installed 2/26 but no new recipes yet.
      * lentil rice sausage tortellini soup ~ very good, recipe is keeper
      * glazed lemon cookies ~ everyone loved them at Easter dinner
    3) Exercise 5-6x per week (minimum 4x):
January: 5 days x2wks, 4x1, 3x1, 1x1 [1 wk lots of snow & 1 wk bitter cold so shoveling, treadmill & PT, 1 wk 4 day trips out of town]
    February: 6 days x1wk, 5x1, 4x1, 2x1 [2 wks overnight trips to visit parents]
March: 5 days x1wk, 4x1, 3x1, 0x1 [ack... prep house & food for Easter dinner; 1 wk overnight trip to visit parents]
    • Walk dog 3-4 miles, treadmill when necessary in winter, weights/my home version of circuit & other x-training
    • PT (physical therapy) exercises to strengthen arthritic knees & hip flexor
    4) MapMyWalk app You Vs. the Year 1,024km challenge started on Jan. 1
    • In 2023 I logged 726.88 miles, or 1,169.8 km & completed yearly challenge 11.14.23 :star:
    • In 2022 I logged 500.4 miles, or 805km (knee issues).
    5) At least 7,500 steps per day
    • I can earn $10 every month on my Medicare Advantage Plan with 10+ days of 7,500 steps:
      Jan / Feb / Mar / Apr
    6) Participate in my favorite area races ~ I walk, I do not run
    • Registered 12.29.23 for Bellin 10K race on 6.8.24 & eligible to have race fee waived ~ rats, no waiver of fee
    • Register for my other usual events, and add other possible events
    7) Be considerate and loving to hubby and have fun together
    • Always a good idea
    8) Make efforts to keep in touch with parents, siblings and friends (most live in other towns or states)
    • Visit parents 1-2 times each month, phone calls in between ~ they're in their late 80s and live 85 miles away

    • Not as much progress as I hoped last year, but not worse.

Keeping my Word for the Year: Tenacity ~ persistent determination; the mental strength to resist opposition, danger or hardship

Me and ash started exercising again
We had about a 5 day break. My legs are sore again lol!
Yesterday I managed to rein in the snacking.

I still had some snacks but wayyyyy less than I was.
Had a crazy moment last week where I just couldn't stop!

Need to look up some healthy snacks that I'll actually want 😂

After I can do stuff normally, I’ll reintroduce some of my other good habits, but right now I’m doing well with these. One that needs to come back is waiting until a reasonable hour for my coffee. Caregiver was giving it to me way early and I’m still having it early right now.

I took a break the last week. My best friend was here, it was also my last week of classes before my practicum starts.
I haven’t had to wear any of my work clothes since last May and I was concerned that I wouldn’t have anything that fit me.
Tuesday evening Cheryle and I watched The Voice while I went through my clothes and I was so surprised that every thing fit and some of it was looser than I remember!

Tomorrow I’ll do a weigh in again, for the first time in a long, long time I didn’t weigh myself daily for the last week.

    JFT - Sun Apr 14
    1.5L of water
    Log all food
    Move 20 Minutes
    Weight for 5# challenge
