Classic snert is garnished with celery leaves instead of parsley. I’ve never had it served with cheese which the Dutch hubby snorted as being ludicrous. Recipe looks pretty good otherwise. A test of good snert is that a wooden spoon should stand up in it. Vegetarian bacon bits might be a more traditional tasting vegan substitute than tofu.
I'm fully omnivorous, but walking a lot on the plant-based/lower-processed side of the fence for some dietary goals in this new year. I thought the cheese was odd too, LOL. I usually get full celery at the grocer, with leaves, and use them, but the bunches looked poor this past shopping trip and I got trimmed hearts instead. Thanks for the hints.

Dinner at my mom’s care home was not bad, though mom complains about the general quality of the food.

My first time cooking salmon. It turned out perfect and was absolutely delicious. I’ve always been too nervous to cook salmon because it doesn’t take much to overcook it.

Dinner with mom at her care home. It wasn’t too bad for mass catering. It’s sweet that the hubby already says he misses my cooking.

Not a typo; I just don't know how to spell bouillon . Now I want a bunch of bullion.....
The soup was so good that I made another meal out of it. I even ate it cold with some yogurt instead of heating it back up. It's tasty when cold just like when hot. It's something that I could eat in the summer!
I think I might soak some beans tonight.2 -
Sunday brunch in bed ☺️
🍸 Kale, açaí, blueberry, collagen
🍽️ shrimp, Cauli rice, scallions, snap peas, tomato, peppers and onion…. A few peas and carrots from yesterday’s leftovers also snuck in. Topped with avocado.

Dinner at mom’s retirement home. On previous visits we would go to restaurants occasionally but she has gotten too lethargic for that.
