Happy May everyone! ๐Ÿฆ‹ Iโ€™m Kat and I live in rural NV with my boyfriend and 5 cats. Iโ€™ve been on a slow weight loss/fitness journey since February. This monthโ€™s challenges will be heavy workload and stress at work and renovations and other projects around the house with 10 days off at the end of the month to focus completely on renovations. My main goal this month is to not burn myself out with so much going on! Mostly healthy meals, exercising when I have energy, and a healthy focus on emotional/mental health.
    SW: 122.6
UGW: TBD, ~105ish depending on muscle

    5/01: 113.8
    5/02: 114.2
    5/03: 113.0
    5/04: 112.6
    5/05: 112.8
    5/06: 111.8
    5/07: 112.4
5:08: 112.4 Busy, busy! But tomorrow is my 'Friday' so I'm looking forward to the break!
5/09: 112.8 A rare urge to snack uncontrollably hit when I got home today, but I fought it off with a measured portion of Popcorners chips! They're not the most thrilling snack, but a single serving is reasonably filling and only 120 cals. The cinnamon sugar ones are also really sweet!

Hey all, Charlene here. I'm 58yo, 5'8", married 40 years, 6 kids, 9 grandkids, and I'm a caregiver for the elderly so they can stay in their homes.

    Goal weight: 150
    April 30: 182.3
    May 9: 185.8
    May 10: 186.5

Yesterday was over my calories and salt, plus I'm not getting enough water. Only had 40oz yesterday. But progress that we haven't eaten out. So it's a mixed bag.

Hubby had some errands to do and pay bills etc, so I got the dishes done, washed laundry, ironed clothes and pillowcases. Tried to get on Steam/Discord to play Golf With Friends with a couple of granddaughters, but I had some login issues so I wasn't able to join in. We will try again today.

More yard work today, then disc golf with one of hubby's minions, and video game with said grandkids in the evening.

    @deepwoodslady happy happy birthday!

    Joining this thread late.

I'm Sierra, 5'8 35/f from Vermont diagnosed with schizophrenia and alcohol use disorder. I started my weight loss journey at 213.6 pounds when I finally found a combination of antipsychotics that worked for me (Haldol and Caplyta) and was able to quit drinking to cope with my symptoms. I immediately started eating keto in addition to cutting out alcohol and I dropped well over 20 pounds the first month and have steadily been dropping about ten every month since, although I don't seem to be on track to do so this month.

I added in exercise on Jan 6 in the form of biking 45 minutes 7 days a week on a stationary bike which I bought for about $200 off Amazon; I've missed maybe 4 days since. Just this past Saturday (May 4) I started walking at least 10k steps a day as well.
@kksbirthdayparty Welcome to our group. It's so wonderful to have you here. Congratulations on your success in quitting drinking. I am wishing you much success on your journey to good health and fitness. Your upcoming trip sounds exciting!

Only 4 hours between the time I went to bed and the time I woke up which would really affect the scale. My kids have informed me that they have chipped in on a new Fitbit Charge 6 for my gift. However, there is a delay in delivery so I should have it by next week. Iโ€™m excited about having an updated version! Yesterday: meals were on point and my exercise increased. Still struggling to put down the coffee and drink more actual water.

I paid closer attention to my calories yesterday, drank more water, slept a full 8 hours (actually slept through my alarm this morning, pretty rare for me).

Yesterday I attacked a planter in my back yard that, admittedly, I've neglected the past couple of years. I was able to uncover the Hasta from all the weeds but a bit heartbroken that I allowed it to go fallow, because now it has English Ivy taken root in there. That stuff is as hard to kill as blackberry or Kudzu. ๐Ÿ˜” I know it's gonna be my DIL's problem come the fall, but I didn't intend to make more work for her. So I'm thinking of digging up the Hasta and moving it to the front yard, and then churning the whole planter over with a shovel.

Today is youngest granddaughter's birthday party - she turns 2! It's a fun age. Her favorite word is POW! which to her means good/cool. ๐Ÿ˜‚
