SAVE THE MFP NEWSFEED

This is a horrible corporate failing. People have been on the MFP Newsfeed for many years and have developed very close attachments that have encouraged them along their health journey. I really despise the canned corporate excuses for canceling the Newsfeed. I wonder if their advertisers realize how much they fail to listen to their customers? It is typical of an uncaring corporate approach to business.

Will you be changing the name of MyFitnessPal to MyFitness? Because, by removing the newsfeed, you are removing the Pals from the equation. And that, is what differentiated MFP from all the other apps. The newsfeed is the hearts and soul of MFP. By the way, will you be offering any refunds for unused portions of Premium memberships?

@Betty - I bet this app will lose a lot of money because people will not renew their PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTIONS!! Having the privacy and friendships in the NEWSFEED is an extremely unique and important part of MyFitnessPal. I for one will be one of those that will not renew premium if a GREAT solution is not found for keeping the newsfeed or its equivalent for us to keep our privacy and our friends!

Since you say you’re STAFF you surely must have some means of stressing the importance of keeping the newsfeed to the developers. PLEASE HELP US!! - thanks!!

Hey Fitfam!!
Sitting here thinking we aren't getting anywhere with MFP with our messages...yes they are looking at them and forwarding on to the appropriate people but maybe we have to show our displeasure with Francisco Partners (the owners of MFP) I'm going to send an email to all the CEO's...it might not achieve anything but maybe if lots of
us speak up they will listen. What have we got to lose???

This is what keeps us all going!
The accountability, the support, the inspiration, the motivation the encouragement.
It is all found on the news feed!!!!!
Without this news feed there is no connection with those friends who I personally have bonded with over the last 12 years of being here.
I do not want to loose to any of that because someone has made a bad business decision!

Please make the right decision and...

The reason the newsfeed isn't well used NOW is because they shifted away from the feed being the front page. Very disappointing to me. What's the point if friending people if you can't share your news?

The news feed isn't a feature it's a connection point. Keep it!

Over 4000 consecutive days on MyFitnessPal and I am so frustrated that the Pal part is nonexistent after June. Who is in charge of this app? What are they thinking? Someone actually got paid to make this decision. Absolutely awful!

MFP is going to lose so many members of it removes this feature. A lot of us enjoy keeping up with our friends on their fitness journeys. I’ve met some great, supportive people on here. If MFP removes the newsfeed I and many others will be done with this app.

Please save the feed!! Been here since 2019 and the newsfeed and my friends is what has always brought me back here. Being able to support one another daily is a major part of our fitness journey. Taking it away will kill this app!!

The newsfeed is/was one of the best features of MFP. My MFP crew has been my safe place to talk about my health struggles. I have made so many life long friends. They inspire me and keep me motivated. I've cried when I've lost MFP friends in death. I've been trying overjoyed when inactive friends come back. I'm sad that I may lose my connection with all the awesome people I've met along my journey.

Since the beginning for me in Feb 2015 adding pals and interacting with them through the news feed has been what MFP is all about. Scrolling through my pals' updates for over 3000 days is why I am here. To me, there is no point to MFP if there is not a news feed, I can count calories very well on my own.

I already canceled my subscription to prove a point. Where logic and compassion isn't there, money talks. I subscribed to MFP solely to support them, because I've loved it here so much. After 12 years of being a member, I'm not sure that I'm going to stay. I feel very anxious posting in Community, because I'm not sure who will see it. I need my safe place back!

I’m test driving two other apps that have newsfeeds. Trying to figure out which one to give my premium membership $’s to, Fatsecret and Lose It! MFP is just another in a litany of calorie counters without the newsfeed.
