I don't have a good system to replace my shoes.... it's just whenever.
How about some pics of the bottoms of your 1000 miles shoes?5 -
Great running @AlphaHowls . That's a lot of miles on your shoes!
Glad you had a nice run @kgirlhart .

I haven’t posted in this group for a few months, but I’m back😃 I broke my arm in January, had a plate put in in February and we’re leaving for a week vacation with grandkids today so not much running this year or this week because dag gone it, those kids wear me out! I will set an unrealistic goal of 65 miles this month🤞
2013, 8 inch plate and screws in my right wrist. Welcome to the bionic world!

Mizuno Wave Inspire 18 Pink - a little more wear on these. I usually wear out the heels/over pronate, but worked on getting up on my toes April and May
Saucony Cohesion 13 Blue
Not related to running, but...
Not for sensitive stomach!My Momma's packin' now!3 -
Today, I ran/walked 2.6 miles. Total: 5.3/40.7

Welcome Newbies! I have been in this group a long time and found it so motivating to get me out the door and consistently running. I am not able to run right now but I am getting out for a walk whenever I am able to. I am running vicariously through all of you.
Welcome back @BeverlyW1108!
Regarding dew point that @kgirlhart mentioned. Here are a couple of charts about the impact of dew point on running.@AlphaHowls - I amazed you shoes don't have more wear with so many miles on them. How do you keep them so clean? Mine always get stained from running on dirt and the tops get worn too.
I hope your mom is healing ok and that the confusion is just transitory.
@martaindale - what is your A race this year?
@ContraryMaryMary - love the toadstool!
I am not setting a distance goal this month. I have been challenged by my daughter to get 10,000 steps or more every day that I can. I am also working to get in a weight work out in at least twice a week. I have the peloton app so I will use that on non-walking days. I need to build up my ams and upper body muscles again.
06/01 - 4.37mi 12797steps
06/02 - 3.72mi 11332steps

Hi everyone, I'm Eva, and I'm new here. I got back into running around Christmas last year and am working on consistency to get my body used to running again. My goal for the year is to run three times a week (no more than 5km at a time and often on the slow side), so I will set my monthly mileage goal to 30 miles. My other activities are strength training (priority) and yoga (mainly to stretch).
Runs:
June 2🏃🏽♀️: 2.74 miles8 -
I didn't run in it, but San Diego's original big marathon was today: Rock 'n' Roll Marathon. I hear the whole series started here back in the 90s. Good times in the city.7

Morning all
Got in 5.65M (at 09"52).
@AlphaHowls love the X-rays
@josefinejem never actually run in Hyde park would you believe... Other side of central for me! Quite boring that my daily runs are just the local loop ... If I do head towards town, it's along river past tower bridge upto Tate and back again6 -
@AlphaHowls You and your mom are bionic women. I don't know how you keep from getting more wear on the bottoms of your shoes either. Mine look like they are about to come through to my toes and the tops wear out too, like @shanaber said. I hope your mom is doing better today.
@shanaber You are doing so good. Great goals for the month.
Very nice @chirs_in_cal . I was just looking at my list of races I would like to do at some point and the Rock & Roll is one of them. That looks like a huge race out there. I was looking at Nashville, but could be one of the others for a further away destination.
Welcome @henriw2095 . This is a great place for motivation at keeping consistent.
Nice running @tarun_yadavA .

Got my first run of the month this evening so
03/06 3.69 miles
3.69/50 miles
Great to see so many new names in the group. Welcome guys!
Garmin says I’ve got 499.10 miles on my runners and they look a lot more battered than @AlphaHowls. U obviously have a great running technique! I have a new pair waiting but think there’s a few miles left in mine. I’ll post some photos 2 moro8 -

Great running @mari333a .
Yes, you did get it done @kgirlhart ! Great job in those conditions.
June 1 - Walk 0.70 miles - Ran 1.40 miles - driveway laps - trimmed trees
June 2 - Walk 2.00 miles - Ran 0.00 miles - treadmill
June 3 - Walk 1.00 miles - Ran 1.15 miles - driveway laps - Gym 21:03 - trimmed trees
6.25/80.0 mile goal
Got up early enough this morning to go to the gym. Per my request, it was short and not too difficult, since I had no strength training for the last two weeks.
When I got home, I did a driveway wun of 1/1 min run/walk x 8 - per the plan. Avg pace was 13:17, so a lot better than Saturday's. Could be because I ran more hills on Sat since I did 2 more intervals then. We'll see.
After resting, mom came up and helped me trim more trees. Today, I did along the edge of the yard. I had her hold the limbs down so I could use the big loppers to cut the limbs shorter than I would have been able to do by myself. We did three Gator loads of limbs.
Day total was 2h29m32s, 2.46 + miles, and burned 832 calories.7 -
June total: 8/100 miles
YTD: 395.9/1200 miles
6/2: 4.9 miles
6/3: 3.1 miles
Treadmill after work and continuous running again. Well, except for a couple of very steep hiking sections and walking those isn't really a break.
@shanaber I'm doing quite a few travel races this year so I'm not totally sure yet. Maybe NJ in September.5 -
Neighborhood 1Mile (at 14"09 pace). streak day 34 - like Timex...tick tick tick.
Welcome @henridw2095 ....that sounds about like my plan right now. Hope to see you later this week.6 -

Runs:
🏃🏼♀️June 2: 2.74 miles
🏃🏼♀️June 4: 2.75 miles
June miles: 5.49/30 miles
Thanks for the welcome @chris_in_cal4 -
Nice running @martaindale . I agree that fast hiking up hill isn't really a break.
Great consistency @chris_in_cal !
Nice run @SummerSkier . I haven't figured out the fueling yet. I'm bad about not doing anything unless it is over an hour, and sometimes not even then. If I'm running outside, I'll drink water. I know I really need to do better, and will try harder once I get to higher mileage again. (So, I'm no help to you. )
Nice running @henridw2095 .5
