Walked again today. Ate slightly over my calories, but not too bad only about 100 calories. I’ll walk an extra lap tomorrow to make up for it.
Made a promise to myself not to drink this month. Sent my dear, sweet, loving husband to the store; and he brought home a bottle of wine for me. 🙄🤦🏻♀️ It was not on the shopping list. I guess he wants me to drink with him on his birthday (July 4). Well, I’ll just have to do even more laps on Thursday then.4 -
Aiming for zero wine this month. I actually believe I've developed an allergy to it. It seems to give me sinus congestion and a dry cough.
Mon: No drinks so I rewarded myself with Panda Express for dinner. Enough calories for the week!
Tues.: back on the low carb diet but had 3 oz clear tequila with OJ before dinner.
Wed: hitting the gym now; today's goal is to stick to 1000 cals, no drinks and no takeout!5 -

Had 1 glass of wine tonight, and I still have extra calories for the day after walking a couple laps today. I need to head to bed. Big day tomorrow. Good night all, and Happy 4th of July!2 -
Happy 4th of July everyone!!

Happy 4th Of July
Hope everyone receives some joy out of this day. Be safe
As of this morning I have no alcohol drink plans slotted for today and have maintained an AF accountability thus far for July 😆.
There are some great music venues going on today which have scrumptious frozen AF drink options.
@globalhiker you may be feeling the effects of the tannins or sulfates in those wines. Huge reason I could never drink wine. I would turn into a mess, my eyes would water, nose would run, cough and a few times throat started getting tight as if my lungs were swelling.

Happy 4th of July y’all! Enjoy and be safe out there, whatever you do. 🇺🇸
Son and wife are on their way over for a late brunch and we usually see and hear fireworks from our backyard!

Drank the last 3 glasses in that bottle of wine yesterday. Shouldn’t have done that. Ended up snacking, and screwed up my calories for the day. I even walked an extra lap (laps are about 1-1/2 mile). I guess I’ll be walking 2 extra laps today.4 -
Back on the boat yesterday, and my plan went right out the window. Three High Noons over the course of the day, followed by 1.5 glasses of wine when I got home. There is something just so celebratory about being on the water, it’s so relaxing and yet exciting. Maybe my better option is to “bank” drinking on boat days the way some people bank clarifies if they know they have a big dinner or a wedding later in the week.5

Went to my sister's 4th of July party last night - food, drinks and fireworks. It was a planned A day, but I broke my no hard liquor run of almost 2 years. My sister makes an absolutely delicious homemade Limoncello and I just had to imbibe. I'm actually proud of myself for limiting it to just two shots as opposed the 5 or 6 that got poured over the course of the night. Rounded out the night with 3 small glasses of sangria (also homemade). The good thing is that those couple of shots didn't really set off any craving in me to have vodka again, I think I really enjoyed the fresh lemon taste more than the actual alcohol taste.
Now I have to get serious about stringing together a number of AF days to get on track for a 50% AF July.

Nice to wake up after July 4 with no hangover!6 -
Your plans sound like a fun way to celebrate the 4th, @Womona and @SparkSpringtime69! Banking is an interesting concept!
We enjoyed a super nice and relaxing day with my son and his wife - had quiche, a strawberry spinach salad, some cheeses and a red, white and blue decorated cheesecake. DH and I grilled burgers later for dinner. Had my planned white wine for the holiday (Wed and Thursday) - 7 glasses total in two days. Planning AF nights for the next two days - choosing a balanced approach!

AF days - 2
A days - 24 -
I'm back and so way far off track. I had been down almost 30 pounds and I can tell by the way my clothes fit that I've put about half of that back on. AF starts tonight along with jumping back on the low carb wagon. I finished off my in house wine and chocolate cake last night
Goals are no alcohol until the 19th (girl's weekend getaway) and then right back at it until the 25th (dad/daughter 4 night getaway) to end the month with over 50% AF.
AF = 0
A = 48 -
back and need to keep myself accountable. May and June were not great due to trips and celebrations - so far for July I'm 50/50 AF and A days. My goal however is not tied to dry days (although I would like to see a good number of them!) but on keeping within my limits. Instead of viewing them as goals, I view them as targets...like if I plan 3 drinks for a day, then challenge accepted and I will every time have 3 drinks and sometimes more. So while I still work on dry days for July, my primary focus this month will be pacing myself, keeping mindful of what I'm drinking and paying attention to if I actually want to that glass of wine or if I'm on autopilot (no matter what glass it is!)

Didn’t walk the extra lap today to make up for the extra wine/calories yesterday. No drinking today. I think I’m under my calorie goal for the day, but my Fitbit died during my walk. So, I’m not 100% sure. If I am over, it’s only about 100 calories.
I think it’s supposed to rain starting tomorrow for most of next week. I’ll be trying to use the treadmill… not a fan of it, but I can’t slack now. Need to get this weight off!4 -
@womona I have owned 2 different boats in my life and I know exactly what you are talking about.
Even though the coast guard frowns upon boating and drinks, it is a common practice. And I agree they go down very easy on the water.
Love hearing of your sailing excursions.3 -
