@quiltingjaine Is that when you access on your mobile device? Every, and I mean every, time I access MFP on my phone I have to "accept" cookies. Have no clue why. The previous response from me should be stored.2 -

July 25 - 172.0 - New round, many opportunities to improve! Because I think I'm due for another drop, I'm going out on a limb and setting a goal, which I usually don't do. I'm going to try to get to 169.X this round. It's okay if I don't but I want to strive for it.
@Onewomanswalk I hope you don't mind me pulling this from your last post in the last round. It's a good reminder, and I really need to focus on this. 👉Intentional eating: Recognizing the food on my plate, taking small bites, consciously chewing, tasting the flavor, feeling the texture and stopping before I feel full. Giving myself time to recognize the difference between hunger and satiety.
Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

No more excuses for not getting in a workout while DGD is here! Saw this on a Reel lately, and it works great. Just put shoes under the training wheels of her old bike, and it’s just enough to keep the back tire off the ground. She is pedaling like crazy, you just can’t tell in this pic.

SW RND 267 My 37th round and will celebrate ONE YEAR of this challenge on 7/31!
I’ll be crunched for time over the next few days because of family and stuff that rarely happens. Won’t be including my history, “July Level up” etc. until later this challenge (probably this weekend). I do plan to evaluate my year and create new aspirations moving forward. I’ll re-read my journal. I’m glad that 7/31 is my Anniversary and 8/1 is another FRESH NEW START. I have learned that each 10-day challenge is not a simple roll-over from the previous unless there is a conscious decision to make it one. After all, this is a 10-day challenge! It’s the opportunity to tweak the previous 10 days and re-commit to forming new habits. I’m really excited and thankful! Also, I am a totally 💯 different person than I was a year ago. If you would have asked me one year ago if I would do this …. Every 10 days… for one entire year, I honestly would have said no way would I do this for one whole year!!! But now, I 💯 would do it all over again! I never missed a day, I never stopped working on “Me”…. I’ve learned more than I can imagine… So for those just starting…… One day at a time, for 10-days WORKS! Good luck to all! And thanks for being REAL! I learn from EACH POST!

@quiltingjaine When I was seeing the endocrinologist (before he released me as a patient) he had talked to me about an injectable. I was willing to try it especially since my blood sugars had been running so badly out of control the couple of years prior. However, we found that my insurance would not cover it and it would cost over $1000 per month which I couldn't afford with all my other meds (as well as my home projects I was already in the middle of)
The doctor did make a special pre-auth appeal to the insurance company but two things happened during that period of time. 1. I lost a bit of weight. 2. My sugars we down nicely probably from the weight loss. Because I was "improving" my insurance still would not approve.
For now, I am stuck doing it the old fashioned way and with health issues it does not make it easy. I always say I sometimes give "in" but I never give "up". So I'll keep fighting the good fight. I do think there will come a time when insurance will start routinely covering these meds. If I still need it when (and if) that happens, I can re-look at it.5 -
The hospital was able to do the echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart) and the EKG yesterday. However, they didn’t realize until they put in the IV that my cardiologist had ordered the wrong nuclear stress test for me. Because I have a left bundle branch block (LBBB) in the heart, I need a special Lexi Scan Nuclear test. I need another order from the cardiologist (not on site) and insurance pre-authorization. So I have to go back in August for that part of the testing. In the meantime, they did find a few things to be concerned about including diastolic dysfunction that was not present before, blood regurgitation in 2 out of 3 of the areas tested, some thickening of the mitral valve and the LBBB continued. The good news is that Injection Fraction on the left side of my heart has improved. Thanks for all the well wishes, kind words and personal emails.10
