Head up, a bit of a long post here..
@ManifestingToday - way to go on the drop! I know you have been working hard and having some ups and downs. I am inspired at your ability to not get discouraged , as I often do. (well maybe you do but you just keep on keeping on and being positive, so thank you!)
Update on the horse- thank you for asking. He is at the sanctuary now and doing well. They absolutely love him there . I got to visit him there just last week. They said to visit any time and its a lovely place. It was bittersweet and there were tears at letting him go but my hubby and I have 5 other horses , one of which is also on rehab for another issue so I just couldn't manage the financial piece of another one who needed ongoing vet care and a year of rehab.
Yesterday was a rough day. I fought some side effects from my meds and felt really crummy. I also got bitten by either a brown recluse spider or a tick of some kind. I had the typical bullseye bit area around the bite which makes it pretty distinguishable so I am using a topical antibiotic for now and keeping an eye for the black necrotic tissue that can result from a bite like this.
The knee is still giving me some trouble. I go for my first Synvisc injection Thursday on our way out of town for a long weekend trip. Fingers crossed it helps. The weekends trips includes some hiking so I am hoping the injection doesn't make things too angry.

@dannytrees1 Thank you! But look at you and all you did this month. You rocked it! You're definitely doing all the right things.
@SofaKween Last week someone had said on a call "August" and I was like, when's that? Oh, NEXT week? I have no idea where the past two months have gone, but I'm glad that we only have about 6 more weeks of this heat. Looking forward to colder temps!
@canadamarie My rings can be tight and loose within an hour of each other -- if I work out; rings get tight quickly. It's frustrating! I hope the heat breaks for you soon.
@AuroraUwU0 I'm so happy for your progress this month!
@HappyDonkey75 I do definitely get discouraged - but I do a lot of work trying (trying....) to keep a positive mindset and not let things knock me off course. It's not easy, but it's making a big difference in how I show up every day. I used to be a very negative/glass-half-empty person, and I just really got sick of being like that. So thank you for saying you don't see the negative side of me often! That makes me happy! I'm also so glad the horse is getting all the love and attention he needs. I can't imagine having 1 horse, let alone 5! I am sending healing vibes for the bite (I can't even with the type of spider, nonononononono..no), but please seek attention if you even begin to see a sign. And best of luck with the injection -- I'm really hoping it's going to help!
Everyone made great progress this month. And honestly, I'm just so glad you all keep showing up -- regardless of what's going on, what is/isn't working, or how you feel, you're sticking with it. That's really the point of this thread. Weight loss isn't linear, and it's not easy. It takes discipline and persistence, and everyone is doing this in their own way -- either trying to make a huge change, or doing it incrementally. It's your journey, and thank you for being real about it all.3 -

Hello! I’m sort of new here. I’ve had this app for ages. But over the last few weeks have been using it consistently. I have a free trial of the premium and I’m not sure if I’ll commit to the paid version. (I want to but it’s steep!) but this group alone makes it worth it to me. I read your stories and cheer you all on. So I’ll sign up for Augusts thread and hope to stick around (these boards are premium only yes?)
You’re a great group! Looking forward to August!2 -
Welcome, @Emkaygirl1, we'll be posting on the new thread (linked above), tomorrow.
These boards can be accessed/used with the free plan; you don't need to pay to post here.2 -
Start 1st July - 98.6KG / 217LB
End 31st July - 91.5KG / 201LB
Month 1 loss = 7.1KG / 16LB
ALL MINI GOALS- July 10 - 96.4KG / 212LB (Day 10) <- TARGET HIT
- July 20 - 94.1KG / 207LB (Day 20) <- TARGET HIT
- July 30 - 92.1KG / 203LB (Day 30) <- TARGET HIT
- Aug 9 - 90.7KG / 200LB (Day 40)
- Aug 19 - 89.3KG / 196LB (Day 50 - Halfway Mark)
- Aug 30 - 87.7KG / 193LB (End August goal - newly added for August month end goal)
- Sep 5 - 87.2KG / 192LB (-25lbs)
- Sep 13 - 85.8KG / 189LB (Day 75 - 3/4 through)
- Sep 30 - 83.2KG / 183LB (End September goal - newly added for September month end goal)
- Oct 8 - 82.3KG / 181LB (100 day program done) <- This is my weight during triathlon days. That's why 100 days program
- Oct 28 - 79.5KG / 175LB (Goal Weight)
I find that the mini goals help a lot. I'd have difficulties tracking something that is a month away but if I break it down into something more immediate, it'll stop the procrastination. I won't get into the mindset that the goal is far away and I have time to achieve it. I won't leave it till the goal is in my face and then run out of time to do something to achieve them. I will try to achieve all the mini-goals, but won't kick myself if I miss them. The goals are all very aggressive and even if I miss the stars, I'd at least get the moon.5
