I'm having trouble right now getting in enough calories. My net for the day is less than 500, which is not even close to enough. Trying to add in at least somewhat decent foods to replace my exercise calories, but it's hard.
Maybe try looking at your friends diaries for tips on what to eat to get the calories you need...you can peek at mine as well.0 -

I would love to join! I'm Megan, I'm 26. My birthday is the week before Christmas so I'm thinking this could be a birthday/xmas present to myself! My overall goal is to be at or under 200 by then. It is completely an obtainable goal! I'm excited to start.

I'm in. I was 144.8 this morning. I'm aiming for an average of a pound a week, so 133 by Christmas. This will be especially challenging for me as I'm moving cross-country in the middle of this so my exercise & food routines will be cattywhompis while I'm doing it. But hey - that's life, right?
Okay - as of October 1st, I'm 141.4 so I've lost three pounds this week. I'm still going to aim for 12 lbs by Christmas, so I'll make my goal 1290 -

Ok so I weighed in this morning and got 2 different weights. 1 said I gained 2 pounds while the other said I was still at 201. Going to get a regular scale this week hopefully and can get a better picture than the wii is giving me. Good luck all and congrats to those that r already losing towards ur goals.0

Absolutely - there's nothing like success to spur you on to MORE success. Set realistic goals, and as you approach them, set your NEXT goal. I'm looking at 12 lbs by Christmas, so we're looking at about the same loss rate. But I already lost 3 lbs between the time I said I'd do this, and the official start date, so I kept to my '12 lbs by Xmas', but adjusted the end goal to 12 lbs from where I was Oct 1st.
So let's say, for example, that you're planning to lose 1 lb a week by Xmas, and by the end of October, you've lost 5 lbs. Instead of saying "I can slack now - I'm halfway there", keep your goal of an average of 1lb a week, and update it to say "The 5lbs I've lost *and* 7 more for the 7 weeks ahead". That way you're not asking any more from yourself than you originally committed to, but you've stretched your goal.0 -
