@tarun_yadavA Oooo, biryani is so tasty! Good choice for a birthday dinner. You don’t often meet a kid who doesn’t care for cake!

@kgirlhart Great run in the heat. I hope you were able to get out earlier today. Bless your sister's heart. I've had that happen to me. It takes a lot to hold it together. I hope her kids were better today.

Good luck with your tooth implant @ContraryMaryMary . I hope you recover quickly.

Nice running @tarun_yadavA . Love the pictures of your son. That sticky toffy pudding looks delicious!

@Mari33a Great job getting out in the rain for the run. I hope you are able to find some calm times to run the rest of the week and you don't get any flooding or wind damage.

    Yeah @yirara .

    Great running @Laurz9191 .

    @martaindale Nice running.

Good morning everyone (or afternoon as the case may be). I ran 5 miles this morning. It was a nice 54F at 5:00 am. It’s felt like Fall here all week.

Hope all goes well with your implant @ContraryMaryMary. It’s such a long process from beginning to end.

Love the birthday pictures @tarun_yadavA! He’s a cutie!

@kgirlhart – I’ve been loving seeing the moon in the mornings also. So lovely.

@Scott6255 – How does the weight come on so quickly but goes away so slowly? Now that you are back to running I’m sure if you make a few adjustments to your diet, you will be back at your preferred weight soon.

    Target: 40 miles/64.3km

    2 Aug - 2.28mi/3.73k
    4 Aug - 3.17mi/5.1k
    7 Aug - 2.4mi/3.86k
    9 Aug - 2.42mi/3.89k
    11 Aug - 3.85mi/6.19k
    14 Aug - 2.37mi/3.81k
    16 Aug - 2.44mi/3.92k
    18 Aug - 3.77mi/6.06k (up a V02 point, yay!)
    21 Aug - 2.43mi/3.91k (PB 1mi & 1k)
    23 Aug - 2.42mi/3.89k (PB 1mi)

    Total 27.59mi/44.37k

At the current rate of runs per week, I estimate I will be 1 long run short of my target, so I am bringing that one forward from Sunday to Saturday so I can get it into this month… I must be catching the crazy!

I purchased some bone conduction headphones (thanks for the tip, @kgirlhart!) and it’s been interesting! My ‘natural’ cadence without music is about 172 (stride 0.86m), but I can get to 184 (stride 0.81m) for a song or two without a change in HR. Downloaded a metronome to see if that’s also worth a try.

@chris_in_cal I miss seeing you on my Garmin newsfeed - I am sending you good vibes.

I do love reading everyone’s updates, although I don’t think to put responses in when I post (because I type it out on a note beforehand), but it’s a great community and I am happy to be part of it, so hugs to you all!
