Sorry I went MIA for few days, I'm happy to see all my JFTers hanging in there & plugging away. Welcome back @clicketykeys! I'm happy to see you post again!

Sunday, hubby and I attended the last play of the season at Peninsula Players up in Door County, an Agatha Christie story I was unfamiliar with, "The Stranger". Loved it! And with such nice weather these last few days, I couldn't say no to fall yardwork. I'd rather it get down now than when I'm freezing. Berm cleaned up & debris hauled to curb for city pick-up, all the roses (back & front) cut back, dying planters dumped, 57 gallons of rain water stowed in basement (only 44 to go), bird feeders up & filled, charcoal grill cleaned & stored in shed.

    JFT 10/22 T
    1) Walked 4.13 mi & took photos of colorful trees  happy me
    2) Leftovers / log all food / limit snacks / 80 oz. water / net calories zero
    3) More yardwork / make ins. appt. (now that hubby rec'd his Medicare card) / clean kitty litter box (I hate this chore) / sweep leaf mess in kitchen from traipsing in and out / call Mom / choir rehearsal w/ bells 6:30 / digital declutter / start packing for overnight visit to Mom & Dad's / other?

Here's a few trees where I go walking most days. It's near the Oneida Veteran's Memorial (that's a Purple Heart memorial to the right) and there's original indigenous log cabins way in the background.

      * Greek yogurt almond butter breakfast parfait (newsletter) ~ terrific, if high in calories... maybe tweak
      * garlic scape basil pesto (internet blog) ~ excellent! tried as recommended with pasta (used up my radiatore)
      * summer squash, zucchini, mushroom casserole (TOH) ~ excellent! & good way to use squash & zucchini
      * zucchini meatloaf (sister) ~ good but hubby prefers classic recipe
      * moussaka America's Test Kitchen tv show ~ very tasty, nice size portions & filling, though complicated with four distinct layers & many prep steps ~ nice to have an alternate eggplant recipe
      * peach cobbler (BH&G) used qt fresh peaches grown in Ripon
      * ratatouille (loveandlemons.com) very good vegetarian dish, uses lots of late summer/early fall veggies

Found my scale! Guess I've missed all of October's challenge, but I will begin in November. Been busy, but got a little self care in the last 5 days. Nails last week and new fall hair yesterday. Funny, neither turned out like I thought, but I like them.

    3e950m3dknkh.jpg

Big day at work, lots of visitors on site. Board of Directors, Government Affairs, Department of defense, and out largest customer. I'm pretty much out of the lime light for this one, but do have to drive a big butt van full of folks from the Line 2 ribbon cutting to the outdoor class room dedication. I purposely did not volunteer for this particular job, because backing up in large vehicles (14 passenger Sprinter Van) makes me nervous. Having people (among them the State Senator and the CEO of the company) watching me do it increases the anxiety even more. I'm just sucking it up and doing it hoping I don't hit anything or anyone. All of staff here on site also has to wear matching polo shirts. I'm not fond of these, especially when they are men's tops. To get one big enough for the ta-tas, the shirt comes down to my knees.

    JFT Wednesday
    - Up with pup early
    - Nap with pup until Tim gets up at 6:30
    - Get ready for work
    - Take extra anxiety meds
    - Work by 7:30
    - Do some work
    - Lunch
    - Log food
    - Drive folks around and try to not have to talk
    - Return Van to rental place
    - Trivia
    - have a salad at trivia instead of a pizza.
    - Home by 10:00

Yesterday went pretty well as far as getting everybody to their designated areas on time. I didn't attend many of the meetings or ceremonies, but the timing was good. I definitely had one of the low stress jobs. I was however worn out from stressing over it and because the pup woke me at 3:30 yesterday morning (and this morning). Yesterday, he kind of let me rest in the morning until 5:30am, but not today. He was up for the day at 3:30. Makes for a really long day. I have a meeting with one of the corporate folks later today. His wife and I were besties when they lived here, but work is work.

@pridesabtch- good for you on the self care. Nails and Hair look great. I started doing nails about a year ago as a monthly treat. Its a little pricey and I have thought about quitting but its the one real self care thing I do for myself , other than work out.. So I am sticking with it. I don't smoke/drink/gamble or have a spending issue.. so I figure what the heck.

Well the hubby's cold hit me last night and now I am sick with whatever virus he brought home from work. He's an educator and works in a germ factory and I am a germophobe . If I could have a sanitation machine as he enters the house I would. He won't strip down in the laundry room after work every day and change his clothes like I'd like him to but in my mind that would help this never ending annoyance of him bringing home every virus out there. Unreasonable request? I don't think so.

    So JFT
    • Vitamins, don't forget
    • Drink lots of tea and water , lemon juice, turmeric.. etc etc
    • Maybe skip the workout today and just get my steps in depending on how I feel
    • Strip the bedding tonight
    • Lysoll all surfaces like cabinets, light switches, sink fixtures, etcanything we touch repeatedly
    • Maybe clean the floor ?
    • Do a couple loads of laundry
    • Start making the packing list for the girls beach trip next week (WOOHOO)

    JFT Thursday
    - Up with pup
    - Tim drive me to work (dropped van off yesterday and then just rode to dinner with Tim. Get my car Thursday).
    - Meet with production team
    - Straighten office a bit

    - Maybe leave early like 3:00pm :(
    - NAP
    - Dinner
    - Bed

Thought we had a relatively good day yesterday. Work was ok. Tim said he was going to go to yoga at 6:30. I wanted a burger from my favorite restaurant for dinner. Told him I'd meet him there after yoga. All was well. Driving home he called and asked if I wanted to go watch a football game at the pub. I said no at first because I was tired, but then changed my answer to "sure" as long as he'd drive us home. No problem. Because I was tired he said he'd get up with the puppy this morning. It was nice to think I could sleep a little later than 3:30am. Pup still woke me, but I woke Tim and he went downstairs. I'm guessing this was a mistake. Tim was a total *kitten* this morning. We had plans to go to a Halloween bash tomorrow evening. He told me this morning he wasn't going. Then on the way to take Merlin to doggy daycare he stated he was going to get rid of Merlin next week because he gets up too often and just wants attention. His driving was not great so I asked what was wrong. I'm pretty sure his answer was more snarky than true, but it was a jerk move "I'm probably too drunk to drive." I mean it's 7:30 in the morning and he isn't a day drinker. It was going to be a busy weekend, but now I'm not sure what is going on. I'm supposed to drive to Columbus after work and watch my niece play hockey. Then up early tomorrow to teach spin. Meet Sierra and get Gia dog. Then home to work on costume and go to party. Sunday is church and Trunk or Treat where I will face paint for the kiddos. Really just starting out to be a *kitten* day.

Edit: Sierra is coming home tomorrow, so nobody is going to the Halloween Bash. Hopefully that will make hubby happy. Certainly makes me smile.

Pretty much the same as yesterday
    • Get my water in
    • Hit protein goals
    • Get my excercise I am fighting a nasty cold so any exertion is a bit tough but I wanted to go for a walk - atleast, maybe a 20 minute session on stationary bike
    • Run errands
    • Work on packing for the trip next week
    • Pick up birthday gifts for next month and get them ready to ship
    • Enjoy the weekend
