    *I lost a bit of weight by changing my habits eating at restaurants. I only eat out if I am with others and typically order one entrée, no sides or soup and salad
    *I quit drinking cream/sugar after 2 cups of coffee..most days and cut down on wine/beer and buying cake, cupcakes
    *Also, I have a meal plan with vegetarian meals at least 3 or 4 days per week. I have my meals logged in advance every week, usually around 1500 calories per day. (I'm short 5'2). I try to stick to the plan, but not counting calories anymore.

    Hi, everyone! I'm Melissa. I'm looking to lose as much weight as I can to get my A1C down and not be so fat by my next birthday on August 13. At last check, my A1C was 8.5 and I weigh 181 lbs.

    This time of year is always hard with holidays each month, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. My goal this challenge is to write down my food every day and stay as best I can within my calorie goal. This is a 12 week challenge and I’m going to work to get 7.2 pounds off.

    October 7: 202.2

    October 14: 202.4 Up 2 tenths but that's okay. I was visiting my mom and never eat well there. I am going on a quilting retreat Thursday thru Sunday and there is always a lot of snacks there as well as eating out and pizza. We will see how I do with all of that temptation!!

    October 21: 203.8 Well, I'm not surprised. Went on my quilting retreat and there were many tempting snacks that I could not resist.

    10/14-194.6-(Trend Weight: 193.4)- As you can tell by my trend weight, I had a pretty good week where I was making progress and then a bad STRESSFUL family issue happened and my weight began ballooning up for no apparent reason. I have been following my eating plan and even fit in a little more exercise than I had been getting. Sleep has been horrid and difficult. I have not been drinking the water that I should be drinking. Otherwise, my macros have been good. I don’t know what is going on with the weight but all I can do at this point is ride out the storm. I HATE that I can’t show all the progress I made this week on today’s post. Hopefully things will resolve themselves.

    10/21-191.4-(Trend Weight: 192.5)- I’ve made a few mistakes and had one day of travel this week but I’m still very pleased with the progress over last week. Keep going Donna! You can do this!

    I'm Chris - 74 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion...
    ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
    My husband and I are retired.
    I see my trainer for 60 mins three days a week and try to walk the other four days. The walking doesn't always work out.

    Hello everyone,

    I have been overeating for the past few days; so I need to get a handle on that immediately! I'm not looking forward to my next weigh-in, but I will report honestly here and on my other boards and call "Do-Over" (yet again)! I'm going to keep trying until I get this right - when healthy eating combined with regular activity becomes second nature!

    Wednesday, October 20th, is only 9 weeks until January 1st, 2025, and I hope to lose at least 9 lbs. by then. That won't get me to my initial goal of 140 or less, but at least I'll be out of the 150's, for GOOD!

    Beginning this week, I will switch my weigh-in days back to Wednesdays from now until the end of the year.

    Being careful today, tomorrow and Sunday will give me a few days to make up for this week's overdoing it. (After January 1st, I will go back to weighing in on Sundays.)
