    Hi everyone,

    February 29, 2008 - 217 (All-time highest weight before I joined)
    Goal Range - 132-140
    Restart Weight: 154.8
    New Year's Day.Goal - 150 (or less)

    Here's the update for today (in pounds):

    11/20/24: 154.8
    11/27/24: 154.2
    12/04/24: 154.6
    12/11/24: 153.0 (lbs. lost since restart: 1.8, total lost: 1.8)

    I haven't been feeling well the past few days. Turns out. I have COVID (again). The first time was Halloween, 2022. I've now had a total of 11 COVID shots, including the latest booster on 9/21; so I hope it's a milder case this time! I started having symptoms on Sunday and tested positive on Tuesday.

    Wish me luck! I'll check back in tomorrow.

    12/05-197.6-(Trend Weight: 192.8)- WTH? Yeah, you read that right. I wasn’t convinced so I was like Santa and checked it twice! Yuck, Yuck and More Yuck!!! The schools are closed today due to winter storm warning so my grandson is here early and the weekend has begun. Clearly I have to be on my toes all weekend as I can’t afford to cave into the normal weekend temptations often offered by my Foodie daughter. Our Thanksgiving dinner was Saturday evening. Leftovers are gone now and it’s time to get to work. I must remember that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Here We go!!!

    12/12-194.6-(Trend Weight: 193.3)- Well CERTAINLY that is better than last week but still unacceptable to me. How many months do I have to lose the same pounds over and over? How long does it take to get back into the 180’s again? No one can do it but me, I know this. Get your sh** together Donna! You know what to do and how to do it. Yeah, it’s hard but choose your hard! Okay, I’m motivated and ready. Honestly though, I start everyday this way. Let’s see if it can last until bedtime! Dang, December is especially tough!

    12/18/24: 151.8 (lbs. lost since last week: 1.2, total lost since restart: 3.0)

    I sure hope this week's loss isn't just a temporary loss due to COVID (I definitely wasn't eating as much but have resumed normal eating as of yesterday.) I guess we'll find out on Christmas morning, 12/25!

    I can hardly believe we have less than two weeks to go until the New Year, but here we are! I'm starting up a new, 11-week challenge that runs from Wednesday, January 1st, 2025 through Wednesday, March 19th 2025 (the LAST day of winter)! You are most welcome if you'd like to join me there! I actually got down to 190.0 within the week and then have slowly crept back up mainly due to restaurant foods related to travel or occasion. Travel again tomorrow on a bit of a longer drive (8 hours round trip) and will be doing med appt for daughter and some shopping in the city along the way. Otherwise, I hope to keep things lean and clean until the next weigh-in. Our family dinner is not until Sat the 28th but there will be baking before then. Gotta watch the BLT’s (bites, licks and tastes)! Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

    Hi everyone,

    Hi @deepwoodslady (Donna),

    I'm very discouraged. This morning my weight was 156.8, a FOUR-POUND gain since Wednesday! Yesterday there were lots of "goodies" at work and I partook of ALL of them! (I'm hoping some of this is temporary water weight gain, but we'll see...)

    Boston got about 4 inches of snow last night and it's really cold outside; so I'll be staying in until I go back to work on Monday.

    Hello everyone, Happy Christmas Eve, Eve!

    My scale has been inconsistent, at times. I now have a 15 lb. dumbbell that normally weighs in at 15.4 on this scale; so, I kind of use that as a "calibrator" and if it shows that weight, then I know it's probably right. (Plus, I usually recalibrate the scale and the "zero it out" before weighing 2 or 3 times to make sure it's consistent.)

    My weight's been jumping around a lot over the past month, probably because I've been eating inconsistently between too much and not enough (when I had COVID). It looks like it's stabilizing somewhat between 152 and 153, but I'm still hoping to be 150 by the time my next challenge kicks off on January 1st. I need to get more activity in to make that happen - definitely!

    YIKES! I had a celebration dinner with former coworkers last evening and, even though I was one of only two people not drinking alcohol, I ate a LOT of food; so this morning the scale was 3.4 lbs. UP! I still think I can get down to 150 by January first - at least I will try my best!

    [Unfortunately, I had four slices of pizza at around 11pm so the scale was not "kind" this morning (157.6!), but I'll give it a few days and hopefully it will right itself by January 1st.] I doubt I will make my goat of 150 by the New Year, but if I get down to 155 by then, I'll be happy.

    12/26-193.4-(Trend Weight: 192.3)- After travel gain still clinging to me. Weight is exactly the same as yesterday and trend weight is creeping up. While I’m not happy with the scale reading, I will take it as a win. Yesterday was day 1 of baking with 6 batches of random cookies. I ate 5 over the course of the day and called it my lunch. It was also a pasta and bread dinner and Christmas movie night with son. With all of that, no weight change from the day before truly is a win for me. Today, much more baking and leftover pasta for dinner. I don’t expect the scale to go down right away in light of all that, but if I can just stay stable I will be ever so grateful. I am actually only a little over what my weight was at the start of December (see below). I’m a long long way from original challenge goal, but if I could end December with the same or less than I started it would be a touchdown for sure! Looking forward to our Family Dinner & Party on Saturday. But I’m also looking forward to getting back to routine in the days, weeks and months following. Lots of prep yet to do for the party so off I go! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas.

    12/26-193.4-(Trend Weight: 192.3)- After travel gain still clinging to me. Weight is exactly the same as yesterday and trend weight is creeping up. While I’m not happy with the scale reading, I will take it as a win. Yesterday was day 1 of baking with 6 batches of random cookies. I ate 5 over the course of the day and called it my lunch. It was also a pasta and bread dinner and Christmas movie night with son. With all of that, no weight change from the day before truly is a win for me. Today, much more baking and leftover pasta for dinner. I don’t expect the scale to go down right away in light of all that, but if I can just stay stable I will be ever so grateful. I am actually only a little over what my weight was at the start of December (see below). I’m a long long way from original challenge goal, but if I could end December with the same or less than I started it would be a touchdown for sure! Looking forward to our Family Dinner & Party on Saturday. But I’m also looking forward to getting back to routine in the days, weeks and months following. Lots of prep yet to do for the party so off I go! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas.

    Oh, DONNA! @deepwoodslady, What an ADORABLE meow! I LOVE this picture!💓

    If you only gained ~5 over the holiday season, that IS a win, in my opinion! The scale shows I gained 2.2 lbs. since December 1st, but it jumped up 2 lbs. overnight, for some reason; otherwise, the gain would have been only 0.2 lb.! Oh well...We'll see what the scale says in the morning. (Weighing in daily is the PITS!) I will report my weight and stats here tomorrow morning, but then I will clear the bookmark and start reporting on the Countdown to S*P*R*I*N*G, 2025 page. Hope to see you there!

    We're finally here! 2025!

    I ended up more or less maintaining since December 1st with a total gain of 0.8 lb. I will post my scale app stats here and will check posts through the end of this week, after which time I will clear this bookmark and post on the Countdown to Spring challenge board instead.
