She's lookin for non-carb ideas....but I love it with cukes:love: I don't think cukes have many carbs in them do they? You can eat a whole one for only a few cals...so guess I'll have to look that up.

Thanks for the reminder on cukes wildkitty:bigsmile:

I just had lunch. A pita with hummus, cucumber slices, tomato slices and grated carrot.
No DH for dinner tonight so I might have the same thing! I might be wild and add a few slices of bacon!

How about Baba ganoosh (may be spelling wrong)? Anybody like this??

It is similar but made with roasted eggplant.. I love it out at restaurants, but have not been able to find a good store brand or recipe..

    Suggestions appreciated..

    Thanks, Jb

A good store bought version of baba ganoush is the President's Choice brand. It's only available in Canada ... not sure where you live but if you're in Canada it worth a trip to the grocery store

Oh gosh, this is what I had as well.
Sabre roasted garlic with triscuits for lunch, with a lettuce wrap (turkey, tomatoe, light cheese, ligh mayo on a romaine lettuce leaf)

I liked the bowl clean that contained the hummus

and on the 6th day the HummusLord said-

Let there be Hummus...and there was Hummus to be had....

    but the HummusLord also said...

the liars among you shall go without Hummus

    and forever more.....it was
and forever more, it shall be

(found in an old Hummus book at Bates Motel in Alfredtown, PA)

Yes, I've found it is better to stick with the tried and true flavors! Once you've found the flavors you LOVE, very few will compare!
