Wake up wrap, coffee with milk. My day goes better when it starts this way.1
-
A mini cinnamon bagel, blueberries & grapes, a little Meijer's bran flakes cereal, and a few cashews.1
-
Steel cut outs, 2% plain yogurt, strawberries, decaf coffee with a splash of milk1
-
Oats made with skimmed milk and a sprinkling of raisins, then a handful of organic peanuts and a banana.
Must start mixing protein powder in with the oats.
I used to have Greek yoghurt, but I’ve quit sugar apart from fruit (again) and eating the plain one after waking up feels like some kind of divine punishment. 😬1 -

You might be surprised that over time you grow to enjoy plain yogurt. I use a brand that has a distinct tang from a very nice fermentation. I typically don't use Greek style, but I sometimes do. I used to mix it with rolled oats (uncooked) and let that sit for an hour or two to soften up. I really liked the sour flavor without the excess sweetness. Sometimes I'd toss in a chopped apple or banana. Sometimes sunflower seeds. I still make that as some morning fuel to take with me when I occasionally work because I leave home long before I'm ready to eat.
Also - consider using a scale for those peanuts. A "handful" of peanuts could mean many things and the number of calories could be extremely variable.1 -

Indeed! I did go through a period of doing this, it’s such a good source of protein and inexpensive. I probably just need to get creative and make it into a breakfast smoothie.1 -

Oh I do use a scale 😁 I just thought a handful sounded better than writing “30 grams of organic peanuts” - they certainly are a generous portion of morning calories!
Thanks for the yoghurt tips, didn’t think of using oats with them - that could definitely work.
