@fabgeekmom I don't think I've ever eaten split pea soup. I should try it while it's still cooler weather.

@its_cleo I think it's progress that you didn't have the drink. I'm glad you are celebrating your wins!

@trooworld Have you heard back about the show? Nice zoo pics. That is so great that you could fit into those parachute pants.

@gemwolf110 I'm glad you are enjoying Zumba. I can't believe it's already March either. I'm nowhere near my quarterly goals.

@cbabie Could you commit to 10-15 min of exercise 3 times this week?

I need to make my own commitment to that.

@its_cleo Yes, it's a painting, I used watercolor pens, ink pen, and colored pencil to make it. I will post a pic of it below. Did you portion out the chips and dip? That's good you didn't have a drink. Awesome that your soup turned out well!

@fabgeekmom Thank you, me too! Good job with the swim. That's good the soup was enjoyable. I hope dinner turned out well.

Hi all. I still haven't received a response from the coordinator of the art show, which irritates me. She was so excited to meet me and work with me and yet no response. I made a piece specifically for this show (see below), so if I don't get in, I'm going to be really annoyed. Yesterday was busy at work. I ended up helping a patron at the counter for 3 hours, not eating or drinking anything the whole time. That was a bad idea: I felt a little nauseated and a bit dizzy/off and I can't help but think it was because of that. Also, I think I'm getting a migraine.

@trooworld I like the art you want to submit. 3 hours helping a patron, wow! No wonder you didn’t feel well. Too bad about the migraine. Hi, all. The weather was warmer and I went for a walk. I had a doctor’s appointment to get my trazadone refilled and I had to wait an hour to be seen. I only go once a year. Luckily I had a book to read. For dinner I cooked Skinnytaste instant pot stewed chicken. It was very good and everyone enjoyed it. I made DH chicken in the air fryer as he doesn’t like cilantro.

@fabgeekmom Thank you. Yeah, I definitely overdid it. I'm glad the weather was better for you. I'm sorry you had to wait an hour! That's good you had a book with you. I always take at least one book with me everywhere I go. I'm glad dinner was good.

Hi all. I still feel like I'm getting a migraine as I have a slight headache but I do feel better as far as the nausea goes. Traffic was annoying last night: it took 1 hr 45 mins to get home. It's no wonder that when I get home, I don't want to do anything! I did make myself dinner: Asian Noodle Salad with added chicken breast. It was good and pretty easy/quick to make.

@trooworld Too bad about the traffic. I’m glad you are feeling better. The noodle salad sounds good. Hi, all. It was windy this morning but I still went for a walk. We had a storm this afternoon. I went with DH for a pre opt appointment for him getting cataract surgery. It was 3 hours long. His surgery will be in April. DS is out of town. We ate leftovers for dinner.

@fabgeekmom Yes, it was bad. Thanks. Too bad about the storm. Wow, that was a long appointment!

Hi all. I see my surgeon this afternoon. It is supposed to rain today so I will have to leave early and deal with traffic. I'm going to wear as lightweight clothes as possible because I know they will weigh me lol.

Morning all, It's been a rough last couple of weeks with sickness. Glad we are going over the hump. LOL. I have done no exercising, but am mindful about what I am eating. I am trying to play catch up on personal things I need to get done…Like paying bills. LOL

@fabgeekmom We got wind today and a few days ago too, made everyones' allergies kick up. SO trying to keep the dust down in the house..LOL. glad you went for your walk.

@trooworld So sorry you were stuck with a client for 3 hours..It sounds like you are learning your workarounds. I had to laugh about the weigh in clothes. Don't we all do that. I like summer the best, you can get away almost no clothes. LOL

@theslightedgeforever Yes I am committing to 10 min for 3 days a week.

it must be in the air I was up and down last night with stomach pain and gastrointestinal issues. I ended up working from home today because I still wasn’t feeling the best.

@trooworld I remember wearing extremely light clothes when I went to WW. I’m sure you got a good report at the surgeon’s office. @cbabie I’m glad you’re getting caught up. Eating mindfully is a good step in being healthy. @gemwolf110 I’m sorry you have been sick. Hi, all. Today was a swim day. Dinner was leftovers from the freezer.

@cbabie I'm sorry about the sickness. I'm glad you all are getting better now. Thanks, yeah, that was rough lol. I am learning the workarounds. :) Yes, lightest clothes as possible!

@gemwolf110 I'm sorry you weren't feeling well, I hope you are better today.

@fabgeekmom I did! Good job with the swim. Nice and easy dinner.

Hi all. The surgeon's appt went well, he is pleased with my progress but wants me to step up the exercise. He said the most weight loss happens within the first 6 months. I need to figure out how to fit in more exercise. I'll figure it out. I am volunteering with an organization that rescues senior dogs today. My friend and I are going to take a couple of the dogs out on an adventure: we are going to a coffee shop, a pet store, and a park with the dogs. It should be fun. I lost 2 lbs this week for a total of 40.8 lbs.

Morning all, It's raining here. I do not like to drive in the rain, but we made it to school, walked in the rain and I am safe and dry back in my home. It's the kind of day you want to do nothing…eat chili read a book, sleep..LOL. I did do my 10 on my treadmill yesterday..so now maybe 10 on the bike to day..it's good to alternate. My DH is trying to quit smoking he is working with his DR. He is what you would consider a chain smoker…but he has not had a cigarette since Tuesday, (I think) It may have been Wed…but the fact is now he is looking at his health..so maybe this is going to be good for the family.

@gemwolf110 I am so sorry you had stomach issues..those really stink. It's a good thing you can work remotely. I hope you feel better soon.

@fabgeekmom Yum leftovers from the freezer. I wish my family ate left overs. I don't know who's children they are..LOL. My DH would eat whatever you put in front of him and not complain.

@trooworld Congratulations on 40 LBS!!! Maybe you could start with 10 min a day x 3 like me on your exercise and then increase 1 min at a time. I hope you enjoy your friend today!

@trooworld 40 pounds lost in fantastic! The outing with The dogs will give you activity and plus, it’s something that you enjoy. Win, win! @cbabie I don’t like driving in the rain either. I’m glad you are gradually getting some activity. And good luck to your DH in quitting smoking. If he’s interested in his health, the whole family will benefit. Hi, all. It’s cold and windy today so I rode my bike. Dinner is pasta from last week with a salad.

@gemwolf110 I hope you are feeling better today.

@trooworld 40 lbs gone is wonderful news. I think getting in more exercise is common for most of us.

@fabgeekmom I remember when I would go to WW meetings I would not eat or drink all day long and then me and my friend would go to Denny's afterwards for dinner. Patty melt. I've been eating leftovers too while my hubby has been gone.

@cbabie I'm glad you are committing to 10 min x3. Your family would eat left overs if you didn't cook new food. LOL or just turn it into something new. They'll never know. a good life lesson. As the Stones sing……you can't always get what you want.

@theslightedgeforever I love that: you can’t always get what you want! Also in preschool my granddaughter learned: you get what you get and you don’t throw a fit! Going to Denny’s after weigh in was a hoot! I think a lot of members did that!

thanks! I’m feeling much better. Took it easy yesterday but got some stuff organized around the house. Have a church event today to go to which should be fun!

@trooworld walking senior dogs is a good way to fit in some exercise. I hear ya trying to fit in more time for it.

@cbabie I don't like to drive in the rain either, mostly because there are other drivers that drive like A-holes lol. Good job with the treadmill! Did you do the bike yesterday? That's great your DH is trying to quit smoking. That's so hard to do. My mom used to be a smoker for years, she finally quit because she had a stroke. That's good he hasn't had a cigarette since Tues/Weds. Thank you! It's so hard during the week when I work, because of traffic. In the morning, I don't have time (I get up at 4 am but by the time I am awake and ready to do something, it's time to get ready for work). I think what I will do is do a little something on Friday (my work from home day), and then do walks on Saturday and Sunday. Thank you, I did enjoy my friend!

@fabgeekmom Thank you! Yes, that was fun to do yesterday. Good job with the bike! I hope the wind and cold leave.

    @theslightedgeforever Thank you!

@gemwolf110 I'm glad you are feeling better. I hope you enjoy the church event. It was a good way to get some exercise in.

Hi all. I had fun volunteering yesterday. I took a 12-year old poodle named "Millie" on an adventure. She ended up in rescue because her owner died. :( I will include a pic of me with Millie and "Camper" who is my friend's favorite dog in the rescue right now. We were at the coffee shop in this picture. We took them to a pet store and I bought Millie treats which she enjoyed. After my volunteer duty, my husband and I went to a coffee shop where I drank coffee and made a new piece of art. It's a bird painting.

Sweet dogs. I was looking at volunteering at an animal shelter here. I can't decide what I want to do with my time- volunteer, or something else like fun gym classes, or yoga classes. There is a line dancing class once a week that I'm interested in.

But right now it's hard to find the time bc I started physio again, and I have another weekly appt I have to go downtown for. But I'm making a list of classes for future. I may take a week off in the spring and might check out the line dancing class then- because you can just do one class at a time.

Well my week was busy and I stopped tracking calories, my eating was so-so. Take out one night. Then I made meatloaf - sometimes the basics are nice! I have to figure out what to make this weekend for dinner.

I saw a new physio and he gave me some exercises. He said I can work on strengthening the muscles around my hip joint. Which is what I read to. He also said when I walk my right side caves in a bit, like from my hip down to my foot and he said that is putting pressure on my hip. So if I have time I want to try to see if I can see it happen in a mirror at the gym or take a video, maybe if I see it I can help correct it.

It's super sunny here which is nice. Not looking forward to the time change.

Morning all, It's sunny here today, chilly but sunny. I have been eating cereal every night for dinner..It's been a recoup week after the sickness we had. I just haven't been able to make myself cook. I did a few nights, but my DH ate lunchmeat…LOL

@trooworld No I didn't get on my bike yesterday. Seemed to be a take care of baby day. I am glad you had fun, love the picture!!

@fabgeekmom so glad you have the bike you can get movement in with bad weather..LOL. Yes I think this is for sure a good thing with him trying to quit. He will want to be healthier in all areas.

@gemwolf110 I hope you enjoyed your church function. It sounds like you are feeling better YEA!

@theslightedgeforever Well you know DH will eat anything…he ate mom's cooking and said it was good.. LOL

@trooworld That was a good picture of you. I can tell you have lost weight. Cute dogs. @ its_cleo Looks like you have a lot of choices of what to do. You got good advice from the Physio. Meatloaf is a great comfort food. @gemwolf110 Glad you are feeling better. @cbabie It’s sunny and cool here also. I hope you fully recuperate from all that sickness. Hi, alll. I went for a walk today and it was nice. Still a bit cool but not too bad. I had planned to make burgers tonight but DS wanted to know if we wanted to eat out at our favorite Italian restaurant. So tomorrow I will prepare the burgers for everyone.

@its_cleo They were really sweet. That's a hard decision, those are fun things to do! That would be good to take a week off. I love meatloaf. Yes, sometimes basics are nice! That's good you got some exercises to do, I hope they help. I hate the time change!

@cbabie Did you get sick, too? Or just recoup as in catching up with things? Thank you!

@fabgeekmom Thank you! Yay for your walk. Everyone loves burgers.

@gemwolf110 Thank you! I'm glad you had fun at the church function.

Hi all. I went for a walk in my favorite neighborhood yesterday and met my husband for coffee. Then we went to see one of his coworker's daughter in a musical, Hadestown. It was fun. I ended up getting 10,492 steps. No knee pain, so that's good. This morning, I was supposed to go for a walk with a friend at a lake but she had to cancel. I'll still go for the walk by myself but maybe at a different location. And now, I can go earlier so that works out.

@cbabie cereal can be great! I love oatmeal actually, with fruit or nuts. I'm glad if all the sickness has passed.

@fabgeekmom glad you're getting some sun, same here. Now we just need the temp to go up a bit!

@trooworld sounds like a nice day.

Calories- yesterday- eh not great lol. I just probably had too much ice cream last night watching tv.

I tried the physio exercises and it went well- I was surprised I could do them actually. My hip was pretty sore after yesterday, so I was worried about today, like how sore I would be- but it seems better. So I'm kind of optimistic.

I also tried to watch my walking in the mirror at the condo gym, and I could kind of see what the physio was saying, like my right knee comes in when I walk whereas the other leg is straight. Yesterday I was thinking I could get a marker and put a dot on both knees and try to see it more clearly lol but I don't know.

Then I tried a few steps trying to deliberately keep my leg knee straight, in the right alignment, felt weird, but I'll keep trying.

@trooworld That’s good that you were able to get that many steps and not feel pain in your knees. @its_cleo That’s a good idea to look in the mirror to see how you are walking. I’m glad your hip is better. Hi, all. It’s sunny today so I was able to go for a walk. I always start out cool and then get hot as I walk. I don’t have much to do for dinner so that’s good.
