The Baked cottage cheese I made yesterday said "good served hot or cold". I had it hot yesterday—good. Took one bite cold today—yuk!
Jello. Tea.

I totally changed my diet just before Thanksgiving due to a prediabetic diagnosis. I tried Greek yogurt full fat & 0 fat. I mash a banana & add berries and 30 raw almonds. Sometimes I make a sugar free granola to top. I have found out yogurt does not fill me up enough to eat it for breakfast. Now I usually have it for dinner. Now if I have leftover chicken or something with meat in it…I eat it for breakfast. Or I make Mexican one pot quinoa (search Pinterest) then add a couple soft runny eggs to top…delicious

I know what I’m not ever having again for breakfast.
Doggone Bisquick changed their ingredients without telling anyone. I didn’t realize it til my biscuits (intended for lush, lavish country ham biscuits) came out hard as a rock and not
risen. I looked at the box to learn, the new “improved” formula requires a tablespoon of oil in the biscuit dough. Erp. Blech. Yuck.Nope. No thanks. I’ll make scratch biscuits with nice butter from now on.
But doggoneit, that means the old childhood coffee cake, dumplings, pancakes, shortbread, all the old fast, reliable bisquick recipes, gotta pull em from the recipe box and trash em. Not having it in the house any more.

The childhood recipes might work with one of the "homemade bisquick substitute" recipes. I know there are some that can be made in batches and stored in the fridge. Maybe there are even shelf-stable ones, don't know.

@AnnPT77 lol, like there’s room with all the Tupperware containing high protein leftovers for lunches, giant containers of homemade yogurt, mason jars of whey from the yogurt, and the huge container of prepped pancakes. Then there’s the sauces, cheese club, tons of fruit and veg, and about eight containers of cottage cheese. (It sells out so we try to stay ahead of the curve in cottage cheese.) milk, half and half, almond milk, hub’s sodas, my sparkling waters, and dog and cat food.
What I need is a Tardis fridge.
I don’t know how folks in Europe survive with those itty bitty fridges. 😱

Coffee, cream and sugar..maybe I'll make some drop biscuits later! I just use the self rising flour and butter, but i remember reading lard is the secret to the really good southern (cathead?) biscuits i used to love as a kid 😬

I love biscuits made with lard, but either today's lard isn't like lard used to be(when you can find it), or my baking skills aren't good enough, or my memory deceives me.
I continue my battle with fast food breakfast. Today I lost. Wendy's egg and cheese English muffin. They were out of coffee, so I got their seasoned potatoes—only fast food potatoes I like and I ❤️ them. I think mostly because they are fresh and hot enough to burn my fingers. Then to Dunkin for my first ever dunkalatte (and last). Way too sweet for me, so home for decaf and protein milk. Over 600 calories for breakfast.

Brunch-one protein pancake and a small turkey sausage. Saving room for pot roast later.
A far cry from yesterday's breakfast fiasco.

Hot coffee with half & half, a pouch of pistachios. Needless to say, I was starved for lunch quite early due to lack of planning and vending machine pistachios that were way overpriced.
