Hello! I like this challenge. I am 5'4 and currently 295-after a 10lbs loss from my late November doctor's weigh-in. Like you, I am not looking for that perfectly thin body, but one that is healthy and good for ME. I don't even really care what the scale says, but since one of my goals is to be in the safe weight range for the zipline parks, I do have to mind a little bit lol. Mostly I just try to eat nutritiously with room for treats, and get my body moving because it makes me feel good to care for myself this way.
😊

Hey guys! I’m Jules. I’m 30 years old, 5’7, starting weight:317 current weight:299. My long term goal weight is 199 (I don’t need to be skinny I just want to be out of the 200’s lol) my short term goal weight is 275. I have been doing a calorie deficit diet and lots of cardio. I want to lose weight without GLP-1s. I ultimately want to have a sustainable healthy lifestyle to eventually become a mom and at the end of the day to love myself. I have been fat my entire life and I am ready for a change. I am tired of feeling uncomfortable from being fat. I’m sick of being too fat to do things I want to do. I don’t want to be afraid to sit in a chair because it might collapse under my weight. I hate that people look down on me and treat me poorly because I’m overweight. I want to not constantly be anxious that I’m slowly killing myself with my unhealthy lifestyle. The list of ‘why’s’ are endless. I have been consistent for a month and a half now and it is truly crazy how much better I already feel. I would love to make friends on here who have mutual feelings as me and are on their own health journey. Let’s motivate each other to be the best we can be. We got this 💪

Morning folks. Posting a couple of days later than usual as I've had a hectic week.
I weighed in at 310lbs this week, so I'm another 4lbs closer to being out of the 300s! I've had a bad last couple of days foodwise, so I'm not sure what my results will look like next week, depends on whether I can reign it in today or not (I'm working on it!).
I hope you're all having good weeks :)3 -
I'm the same, I'm aiming for a clothes size rather than a weight as my end goal. I like having curves still, so I've no desire to be 'skinny', but healthier and happier is the main target.

Wow, this really hit home for me. This part could have been me writing this.
This is a great group with some lovely supportive people, with no judgement or shaming, and I've found it useful to read about other people's journeys, favourite healthy meals, etc.4 -
THE SUGAR DIET: Very interesting. Check it out (Sorry about the bad language). I’m on my way to the store to buy jellybeans and apple juice. 😋 I do well on high carb diets.

Given that he says he uses 'performance enhancing drugs', I'm guessing his body would process sugar differently than us mere mortals, haha.
But, I'll use anything as an excuse to eat more sugar 😂1 -

Yes Jen. Me too. Any excuse. That’s why I’m better on high carb diets. Carbs is sugar! Sugar fuels the brain. 🧠

Morning folks :)
I weighed in at 312lbs this week, so I gained 2lbs. Totally deserved though, I had a couple of days with friends and some bad behaviour spilled in to the rest of the week. I'm ok with this, and have now drawn a line under things and ready to get back on the horse.3 -
I won. 🏅 I gained 7 lbs. I weighed in at 300.8 this morning. Let’s get back on our horsies Jen. We need to weigh 299 or less by July 4. That’s the rules. 😀3 -
Off to the races!

Week 2 check-in: I lost .7 lbs this week, 2.2 lbs total. No noticeable side effects other than my glucose going DOWN! Yay. That’s what it’s all about for me. My average this week was 129 down from 190 when I started. I use a Freestyle Libre 3 CGM, 2.5 mg Mounjaro, and low carb diet. It was an emotionally charged week including travel to family for a funeral. I’m glad I lost anything.

Congrats on your weight loss and lowering your blood sugar. Good job! 👏 😀1 -
299 or less by July 4th? I'm in, let's do this! 💪

Do any of you take supplements? Which do you recommend?
1 -
Yes. I recommend WHOLE FOOD supplements. Not the synthetic ones.I use “Garden of Life Multivitamin for Women 50 & Over.”

Weekly weigh in was 294.4, lost 2.2 lbs this week for a total loss of 23.2 lbs total. I’m happy there is progress but I would be lying if I didn’t say I wish it was a little quicker. I know a lot of people on this app say I’ve lost what I have too quickly but it’s just frustrating because I have SOOO much to lose. I guess it’s also a little frustrating just knowing how much work went into losing those 2.2 pounds- very careful dieting, I did a bunch of landscaping in my yard this weekend (literally moved 2 ton of rock!) & ran 3 5ks in the gym this week. It just felt like it should have been reflected more on the scale. Maybe TMI but I did also start my period so maybe that’s effecting the numbers but ugh I’m just trying to stay positive that it’s still progress!
