Jules, you’re progressing very well. You lost 32 lbs in only 2 1/2 months. You should be proud of yourself. That’s quite an accomplishment. At the rate you’re going, you’ll probably reach your short-term weight goal of 275 by the first week in August. I wouldn’t be surprised. 😀 👍

You’re doing great Jules, you really are. You still lost a little weight even after having a girls night out. 🍸️

You’re still heading in the right direction. You can say goodbye to the 280’s. 👋🏼

[I would have rather switched YESTERDAY's weight (204.8 lbs) for today! Because I didn't overeat, I know it's just a little more water 'sloshing' around my middle, that didn't get evaporated overnight !!! 🤨]

I can definitely emphasis. I have an official weigh-in day, and a few times my weight has been higher on that day that other times during the week, and its so tempting to count the lower weight!

    Today’s weigh in-

    Starting weight: 317.6 lbs

    Current weight: 284.8 lbs

Up .2lbs from last week. I want to cry, I am so frustrated. I thought this was going to be a good week because I have upped how far I’ve been running in the gym from 3.1 to 3.5 miles, been eating well, going on extra walks to get all my steps in, was very active over the weekend & I gained weight????? Ugh it’s so infuriating. These past 2 weeks have been so slow for me on progress and it makes no sense to me because I’m not sure how much more I can be doing to lose weight it feels like I am already doing so much but the results aren’t showing 😭

Could the gain be a temporary one, caused by upping the exercise? Maybe your body is holding on to water a bit more?

There'll definitely be weeks like that for us all, but you're doing amazingly well.

Two thoughts: Are you watching your portion size? I eat healthy as well, but am bad in staying within my "allotted" portion for protein, carbs, etc. at each meal. Are you drinking enough water? It's a pain, but the more 0-calorie water-based beverages you consume, the easier the pounds come off. Because of my past edema in my legs, I also take a daily diuretic pill which helps keep off the "water weight".

First of all sorry about my lack of activity on here, but reading the posts since I was last on here everyone seems to be doing ok.

I guess the reason for not being in here has been the lack of weight loss achieved since Tuesday 10 June.

I hit 2 major plateaus since. First was on 256lbs and now a second on 250lbs.

Meaning I’ve only lost 10lbs since 10 June. I know that is a significant weight loss and I should be grateful and I know my clothes are starting to hang on me and people have commented on my appearance.

I have kept up my diet and exercise regime diligently since I was last on.

Still no alcohol or sweets, I skip breakfast and have a light lunch and a slightly larger dinner.

The hunger pangs have more or less left me.

I have upped my exercise to on average 2 20 min walks a day and have got a dedicated gym routine going.

    30 x 5kg standing arm curls

10 squats (holding onto the barbell for support)

    30 x 20kg barbell bench press

    30 x40kg leg extension

30 x 5kg standing arm raises to the side

10 squats (holding onto the barbell for support)

    30 x 20kg barbell bench press

    30 x 40kg leg extension

30 x 5kg standing arm raises out front

10 squats (holding onto the barbell for support)

    30 x 20kg barbell bench press

    30 x 40kg leg extension

finish with 50 x 50kg double arm curl using the leg extension on the weights bench.

This routine has helped me stay focused and I dread it less than before.

Another big issue I have is the lack of bowel movements have. I only go every 3 days and I know this isn’t good.

I’ve done some research on this with no real success and have just today looked at the plateau issue as well but I seem to be doing everything right.

Any advice on these issues would be appreciated.

I’m going to try and visit here more often.
I wish everyone else in this challenge the very best in the coming week.

    I really feel your pain.

My weight loss has been slow and has mysteriously went up on consecutive days but I keep on going.

Maybe your clothes fit better - have you tried measuring your waist etc?

I put on my belt last night and I had gone down two holes in a month

Jenni, you lost 5 lbs in only about 3 days. Show-off!
At this rate, you’ll easily weigh 290 by August 1. I’m so Jealous, I can taste it. But that’s okay. It’s not your fault. I deserve to be Jealous if I can’t keep up with you. I was ahead of you cupcake, now I’m behind. Gotta ketchup. 🍅

    Exercise💦: 7 hours this week

[Firstly, my exercise went down, because I upped the resistance to "8" (the last setting = most resistance) and it's hard work and wears me out faster! Eventually I'll get used to this setting and do more time on the bike. I'm pleased that I lost at least a pound this past week. While I've been eating healthy foods, my portion control hasn't been good. As we all know every little bit more we add to our plate or snack on DOES add up by week's end! <sigh> (But I can't get into using measuring devices… except for my "eyes" and the older I get the blurrier my vision on food amounts… well, that's the excuse I use, anyways!!!😉) Hope you are all well physically, mentally, emotionally!!! Huggz, Brian]

    Hello! waves

I was in a car accident last year and am still recovering from my injuries. Activity is still quite painful but I'm slowly trying to get more movement! My BMI is too high for the surgery that could help so I need to lose about 125 pounds. Which isn't easy when it hurts so much to move!

I was 310.4 this morning. Immediate goal is 1 pound a week and first "big" goal is to go below 300.

my current nutrition goal is to hit my fiber goals

movement goal is to hit all three rings on my watch at least 3-4 times a week. It's not set terribly high but for the moment it is doable and once I can consistently hit the goals, I'll increase them :)

Hello Pat. Welcome to MY 100 POUND JOURNEY. I agree with you. Let’s just get down to a healthy weight, no matter what it is. For me a healthy weight is 200 lbs. At 5’4, I’m still heavy, but I can function well, rarely get sick, and my knees don’t hurt. I wear a size 16 at 200, which is fine with me. Why would I want to wear a size 4 or a 6? Doesn’t make sense. I’m not 10 years old anymore. Those are little girl sizes. 😀

Hello Hazel. 👋🏼 You have a beautiful name. It’s of English origin, and primarily refers to the Hazelnut tree.

Hazelnut trees have a symbolic meaning in some cultures, representing wisdom, and protection. Speaking of wisdom, losing 1 lb per week is a wise choice. Losing slowly is best. I’m sure we both need to drink plenty more water though.

Welcome to MY 100 POUND JOURNEY. 👋🏼

I'm an overachiever on water! I've given myself hyponatremia more than once 🫣

I track my water to make myself aware of how much I'm drinking. As I get closer to 100 ounces, I have to do an electrolyte packet. Keeps me out of the hospital!
